It is Friday and this week, AEW Rampage was recorded after AEW Dynamite from the TD Garden in Boston, MA. Our commentary team is Excalbur, Chris Jericho, and Tony Schiavone.
Royal Rampage
20 man battle royal, 10 in each ring until only two are left, then they face each other in a single ring. Then someone new enters every minute.
Darby Allin and Jay Lethal start in the Red ring.
Swerve Strickland and Nick Wayne start in the Blue ring.
Minoru Suzuki comes out for the Red ring. He and Lethal team up against Darby.
Brian Cage comes out for the Blue ring.
Ethan Page is out for the Red ring and he goes after Lethal.
Komander is out for the Blue ring.
Butcher is out for the Red ring.
Big Bill is out for the Blue ring.
Lethal is eliminated by Page, and then Lethal and Suzuki work together to dump Page.
Butcher dumps Suzuki out of the ring.
Blade is out for the Red ring, so they will work together.
Darby and Butcher go to the floor under the rope to fight as we go picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Brother Zay has come out to the Blue ring.
In the Red ring, it’s Butcher and the Blade beating up Darby.
Toa Liona is out for the Red ring.
Matt Sydal is out for the Blue bing.
Butcher and Blade work on eliminating Liona as Darby is laying on the mat in the Red ring.
Bishop Kaun is out for the Red ring.
Brother Zay is eliminated by Cage.
Butcher and Blade are eliminated by Toa and Kaun.
Matt Hardy is out for the Blue ring.
Matt Menard is out for the Red ring.
Matt Sydal is eliminated, but we don’t see who dumped him.
Jeff Jarrett is out for the Blue ring and he goes right after Matt.
Angelo Parker is the last man out for the Red ring.
Jake Hager is the last man out for the Blue ring and we go picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Hager has been eliminated by Komander and Big Bill, and then Bill eliminates Komander.
Menard and Parker and eliminated by Kaun and Liona.
Jarrett is tossed by Matt.
Bill eliminates Matt.
Swerve eliminates Bill, and Cage is unhappy about it. Nick Wayne goes into the Red ring and he and Darby eliminate Kaun.
Nick uses Swerve to eliminate Cage.
Swerve eliminates Nick as Darby eliminates Liona.
Swerve and Darby move to the Red ring. Darby has to pull himself to his feet with the ropes and then lifts Swerve up and over. Prince Nana gets into the ring with Darby’s skateboard. Darby attacks him, allowing Swerve to grab him from behind. Swerve puts Darby on top, and Nana puts the skateboard on the mat wheels up. Swerve power bombs Darby on the skateboard.
Swerve tosses Darby, but Darby holds onto the rope. Swerve goes to the top and leaps, but Darby gets his boots up. They fight on the apron and Darby is back in the ring, and then charges into Swerve, spearing him off the apron.
Winner and getting a TNT Title match: Darby Allin at All Out
QT Marshall, Aaron Solo and Johnny TV vs. The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) and Billy Gunn
Gunn and TV start off the match, but TV tags in QT before they lock up. They run the ropes and Gunn hits a shoulder tackle. They run the ropes and each dodge a move from the other. Bill then drops QT with a right hand and Max tags in. They try to set up for Scissor Me Timbers, but instead the tag team alarm goes off and everyone is fighting in and around the ring.
QT distracts the ref so that Max can take out TV, but Solow hits a superkick on Max. Solo then tags in and they triple team Max as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Max has been kept from tagging out the entire time. Max is able to hit a clothesline on Solo and tags in Gunn, who cleans house. Bowens tags and does the same. Gunn slams Solow and they set up for the Scissor Me Timbers, but Harley gets into the ring and offers the scissor to Bowens. Bowens gets off the turnbuckle scissors her, pushing her backward onto Solow. Solo and Harley take the Scissor Me Timbers. TV gets in the ring and clotheslines Max and Gunn, Bowens is tossed over the barricade by QT. QT gets a diamond cutter on Gunn, followed by an elbow off the top by Solow, and then finished by a two count by TV.
QT’s team sets up for their own Scissor Me Timbers, but it’s broken up by The Acclaimed. The Acclaimed hit the arrival and the mic drop, and Gunn slides in for the pin and the win.
Winners: The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn
It’s time for the Main Event!
Kris Statlander (TBS Champion) vs Marina Shafir w/Nyla Rose
They grapple to start off and Statlander is able to get a hip toss. Statlander takes Shafir down again, but Shafir works to her feet and they trade kicks and knees. Shafir hits a judo toss followed by a sidewalk slam into a one count. Shafir captures the arm and twists Statlander until Shafir has a foot on her face and twists.
When they get to their feet, Shafir hits a massive series of kicks. Statlander captures Shafir’s leg when she tries a roundhouse kick. Statlander strikes her, ducks underneath to put Shafir on her shoulders and then flapjacks her to the mat. Statlander hits charges into the corner, and then hits a delayed vertical suplex for two.
Statlander sets up for Friday Night Fever, but Shafir is able to escape and captures the leg for a standing figure four. Statlander escapes with upkicks. Statlander hits a discus lariat, hits Friday Night Fever for the pin and the win.
