It is Wednesday and this week, AEW Dynamite is back in the USA, coming from the TD Garden
in Boston, MA. The commentary team is Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Taz.
The Blood and Guts set is the focus of the opening and we start off with a FTW Championship match.
Hook (FTW Champion) vs Jack Perry
Perry does not come out when his music hits. The lights go out and we get a video of him burying someone in his old gear. A limo shows up and he gets inside. His new music, Beethoven’s 5th, plays and he comes out in new gear.
Perry charges and Hook dodges him and then starts pounding again. Perry goes to the outside and Hook follows, and they brawl at ringside and then into the crowd. Hook tosses Perry back to ringside and then back into the ring. Perry stops Hook from charging into him in the corner with an eye poke, and then hits a kick to cover for two.
Perry works over Hook and stops to antagonize the crowd. Perry keeps up the attack through the picture in picture. When we return to full screen, Perry is trying to get a German suplex off the apron, but Hook holds onto the ropes to block it. Hook hits a T Bone suplex from the apron to the floor. Perry shoves Hook into the ring post and then hits a draping DDT from the arpon to the floor.
Perry rolls into the ring and the ref starts his count, with Hook rolling in at 9. Perry starts hitting dismissive kicks on Hook and Hook pops up. Perry hits a German suplex and Hook pops up again. Hook hits a German and holds on for two. Hook gets another German and holds for two. When Hook tries again, Perry grabs the ref and nails Hook with a mule kick to the yam bag. Perry hits a sliding elbow to the back of Hook’s head for two.
Perry gets out of the ring and grabs the FTW belt. Perry swings it at Hook, Hook dodges and the belt is dropped. Hook grabs Perry and they go to the corner, knocking down the ref on the way. Hook hits a suplex and covers Perry, but the ref is out. Hook tries to revive the ref and Perry has grabbed the belt. When Hook comes over to start the fight again, Perry blasts him with the title and covers for three.
Winner and NEW FTW Champion: Jack Perry
Not only did Hook lose the title, but he also lost his undefeated streak.
We then get video of Alex Marvez seeing Jericho and Don Callis at a restaurant.
We then get MJF and Adam Cole, and Cole is taking him to the famous Kowloon's Restaurant to get over his fear of spicy food. MJF says he is also scared of poor people. MJF tells Hogan’s story of slamming Andre except it’s him slamming Big Bill. After their first few bites, they desperately need drinks and say it’s the worst water they have ever had. The waiter says it’s not water, it’s 100% alcohol. MJF then tells the story of slamming Big Bill again in front of a bigger crowd. They then decide it’s time for a double clothesline and go after the waiter.
We then get video of Alex trying to get a word with Don and Jericho as they arrive at the arena, and they mock Alex.
Britt Baker vs The Already In The Ring Kayla Sparks
Baker hits a slingblade and puts on the glove. Baker hits a neck breaker and grabs the Lockjaw and we’re done here.
Winner: Britt Baker
Renee is with MJF and Adam Cole and asks them about the Tag Team Tournament and their chemistry. Cole says they will win the tournament, and MJF explains how they will win. Each gives the other matching ring gear. Roderick Strong, in Bobby Heenan’s old neck brace, shows up after they leave.
Daniel Garcia and Sammy Guevara vs MJF and Adam Cole Tag Team Eliminator Tournament Final
Garcia and Guevava come from different entrances. Jericho comes out after they do and joins commentary.
MJF and Cole are super over with the Boston Crowd.
Garcia dances before the bell and MJF mocks him for it. MJF then calls for a dance off. MJF goes to the timekeeper’s table and starts music. Garcia and Guevara dance, poorly and not well together. MJF then dances and Cole dances as well.
Guevara and Garcia attack as soon as the music's over and the bell finally rings. Garcia gets MJFis a side headlock and MJF escapes by stomping on Garcia’s foot. He then pokes Garcia in the eye, and he and Cole ping pong him between them. MJF and Cole call for the double clothesline and instead he gets out of the ring, pulled out by Guevara.
MJF runs the ropes and then stops to drink in the cheers. Garcia knocks MJF out of the ring and then attacks Cole as we go picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Guevara gets ready to leap onto MJF, but MJF rolls out of the way, so Guevara jumps down and attacks. They knock heads and when MJF falls he drops head first into Guevara’s yam bag. Booth men are down and struggle to their corner. Garcia is tagged in first and MJF kicks him off. Guevara is tagged in and he does the same. Guevara and Garcia call for a double clothesline and Coel is tagged in. Cole cleans house.
Garcia recovers and stomps down Cole int he corner. When the ref calls him off, Garcia dances at the ref, allowing Cole to attack. Guevara nails Cole as he tries to come off the rope, but Cole drops him as well. MJF is tagged in and he and Cole go for the double clothesline. Guevara dodges and hits a double spanish fly and covers MJF for two. Guevara runs MJF to the ropes when MJF tags in Cole. Guevara rolls up MJF and Cole superkicks him to break it up.
Cole and MJF shoot Guevara into the ropes Guevara holds onto the ropes and Garcia hits a double chop block. Garcia locks in a Dragon Sloyer on Cole and Cole gets to the ropes. Garcia stomps on Cole’s knee and charges, but Cole sends him up and over. Cole tells MJF to dive and MJF stops after coming off the ropes. Cole gives Garcia and Guevara superkicks to keep them down. MJF finally dives onto them.
This match is pure well done shenanigans. Cole hits the Panama Surprise on Garcia. MJF calls for the double clothesline. They hit it, MJF covers for three and the crowd goes wild.
Winners: MJF and Adam Cole
As Jericho comes to console them, Garcia and Guevara walk right by him.
In the ring, Cole is eyeballing MJF’s belt and they have words. MJF apologizes and they hug it out. We then hear FTR’s music. They come out in street gear and head to the ring. All four men have words in the middle of the ring.
Renee is with the Best Friends, Darby Allin and Nicky Wayne. She runs down all of the stuff they are up to and she asks about the Royal Rampage, and he’s after Swerve Stricland in that match. He then asks Oranger Cassidy if he’ll face AR Fox for the International Championship, and Cassidy agrees. Nick and Darby don’t put hands in with the Best Friends.
It’s time for Blood and Guts:
Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Cluadio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Pac and Konosuke Takeshita) vs The Golden Elite (Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Adam Page, Matt and Nick Jackson)
Claudio and Omega start off the match.
The brawl in the corner, Claudio gets uppercuts and then each tries to get a vertical suplex
Claudio hits a high back breaker.
Omega slams Claudio’s head into a turnbuckle, hits a frog splash and tosses him into the second ring, which the crowd loves
Omega works over Claudio in the corner, and Claudio slams Omega and drops an elbow before working over Omega in the corner
Each gets a flurry of offense as the next person comes to the ring.
It’s Pac and he goes to work on Omega as we go picture in picture
When we come back, it’s time for Page to enter the ring and even the odds.
Page catches a cross body from Pac and hits a fallaway slam.
Page hits a moonsault from the top rope onto Claudio
Page pairs off with Pac and Omega pairs with Claudio and they start using the cage as part of their attack.
Claudio drop kicks Omega into the cage
It’s Mox’s turn, and he goes right after Page with a fork and then goes after Omega with it.
As Claudio and Pac keep up the attack on Omega, Page and Mox fight as Mox dumps out a bucket of broken glass.
Nick is out next and he nails a drop kick from the top of Mox and he cleans house on the others.
Mox slams Nick into the broken glass, and then stomps on him there
Omega is suplexed onto the glass by Mox and Claudio
Yuta is out next and he’s got a chair. How quaint as we go to picture in picture
When we come back, Matt is out next to even the odds and he takes out Pac, then DDTs Yuta on the chair before Claudio and Mox cut him off
Mox is bleeding “It must be a day that ends in a Y” - Taz
The Bucks hit Risky Business on Mox
Mox suplexes each of the Bucks
Omega hits a facebuster on Yuta into the glass
Takshita is next, also with a chair
He hits a suplex on both Bucks at the same time
Don Callis joins commentary
Mox pulls a bed of nails from under the ring and sets it up in the corner
Omega is drop kicked into the bed of nails in the corner by Mox
Mox then hits a scoop slam on Omega onto the bed of nails
Ibushi is the final participant in the match
Yuta and Matt are outside the ring on the ramp
Ibushi nails everyone with right hands and then goes after Mox, who was stomping on Omega’s hand into the bed of nails.
Mox is kicked by Ibushi into the bed of nails
Ibushi then hits a standing backflip onto Mox onto the bed of nails
Nick is tossed into the cage and falls between the cage the ring as we go picture in picture
When we come back, Yuta and Matt are fighting on top of the cage and Matt hits the traveling Northern Lights Suplexes
Yuta stops him before the edge with a DDT
Yuta climbs down and gets into the cage
Mox hits a pile driver on Ibushi
LOTS OF BRAWLING ALL OVER THE RING
Matt pours thumbtacks down through the top of the cage
Page and Nick hits a backdrop into the tacks on Claudio and Takeshita
Nick superkicks everyone
Matt gets back into the cage
The crowd chants for tables as the Golden Elite nail the BCC is separate corners at the same time
Matt gets a table from under the ring
The crowd chants for fire
Bunch of savages in this town
Everyone hits a drop on Pac as we go to picture in picture
When we come back from our final ad break, all of the Golden Elite get suplexed
Pac drops off the top of the top fo the cage to double stomp Matt through a table
Everyone groups in their own ring, and charge to attack in the middle between the two ring
Winners: The Golden Elite (Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Adam Page, Matt and Nick Jackson)
Time for everyone to get a finisher in sequence
The BCC lock in finishing holds on the Golden Elite
Claudio gets the swing on Matt and then locks in a sharp shooter in the tacks
Ibushi nails Claudio with kicks to free Matt
Omega gets all of the BCC charging into him in the corner
Pac and Claudio have words
Pac flips them all the bird and gets a bolt cutter to leave
Omega hits a series of dragon suplexes on the BCC
Page hits the buckshot lariat on Claudio
He then hits one on Yuta as Omega hits a V Trigger
Don Callis pulls Takeshita out of the ring
Matt grinds Yuta’s face into his shoe with thumbtacks on the sole
Mox is handcuffed to the ropes
Yuta is choked out with a chain for the Golden Elite to get the win
