IAN RICCABONI PUTS PEN TO PAPER WITH AEW, QT MARSHALL GETS BIGGEST WIN OF CAREER, FENIX DONE WITH AAA AND MORE

Fightful.com reported over the weekend that Ian Riccaboni had signed a new deal with AEW that would cover him doing Collision and Ring of Honor.  That would be correct and it happened within the last few weeks.  Riccaboni was actually one of the first hires AEW Execs wanted for the company but at the time, he chose to remain with Ring of Honor, which was then owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group. When Tony Khan purchased ROH, Ian's contract was part of the assets included in the purchase.  When the decision was made to launch Collision, Riccaboni was one of the primary choices for the broadcast team but Riccaboni opted to put his family first, not wanting to travel every weekend, which led to one of his original mentors Kevin Kelly getting the nod.  The new deal will see Riccaboni do ROH and Collision when Kelly has NJPW commitments that prevent him from making AEW dates.  Riccaboni, very much the Lance Russell of ROH, originally broke in via Danny Cage's Monster Factory school and was an excellent co-host for Cary Silkin's podcast as well.

One source at Collision this past Saturday stated much of the FTR vs. Bullet Club Gold match was put together in the ring on the fly.  Ari Daivari was the Coach/Producer for the bout.

QT Marshall had the biggest singles win of his career to date over the weekend, beating Pentagon Jr. in a really bloody and entertaining Ambulance Match at TripleMania 31 in Tijuana.  On his personal Facebook page, he reflected, "Thank you to everyone who reached out to wish me a Happy Birthday! I tried to respond to everyone the best I could.  It was nice to spend the day at home, healing up from my match in Mexico, with my beautiful wife Carolyn Fazio-Cuellari & Buttercup! I have a feeling 38 is going to be a great one."

AEW President Tony Khan will be doing a media call tomorrow to discuss Blood and Guts as well as ROH Death Before Dishonor.

Rey Fenix announced he would be taking a hiatus from Lucha Libre AAA and vacating the belts he holds there:
