FTR VS. BULLET CLUB GOLD 57 MINUTE CLASSIC, OWEN HART FINALS & MORE: COMPLETE AEW COLLISION REPORT

It is Saturday and AEW Collision is live at the Calgary Stampede Saddledome in Calgary AB, Canada.

Our commentary team is Ian Riccaboni and Nigel McGuinness.  Kevin Kelly is in Japan for NJPW.

Once again, the show starts with short promos by everyone involved in tonight’s shows. 

FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Hardwood) AEW Champions vs Bullet Club Gold (Jay White and Juice Robinson) 2 out of 3 falls

All four men are in the ring as the bell rings, and they jack jaws. Jay and Dax stay in the ring. Jay rolls out of the ring to stall. Cash chases him away and then Jay gets back in the ring. They lock up and run the ropes. Dax then slides to the outside to greet the fans and leave Jay in the ring. Dax gets back in the ring and they run the ropes again with Dax getting a shoulder tackle and then a small package for two. Dax grabs a side headlock and they work to their feet. 

They run the ropes again and Jay gets a hip toss, an arm drag and then tags in Juice. Cash is also tagged in and they lock up. Juice grabs a side headlock and then Cash reverses for a headlock takedown. They go to the corner and Juice breaks with a shoulder thrust. Cash gets a back slide for two. They run the ropes with Cash getting a shoulder tackle that knocks Juice out of the ring as we go picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Dax and Jay are in the ring and Dax slams Jay for a two count. Dax grabs an abdominal stretch and holds him JUST out of Juice's reach. When the ref isn’t looking, Dax grabs the rope for leverage. Juice escapes but is whipped into the ropes as Dax hits a back elbow and tags in Chas. Dax slams Cash on Jay for a two. Jey is abewl to get a drop kick and tag in Juice.

Juice nails Cash with jabs and finally drops Cash with a left. Juice gets a side headlock takeover and holds Cash down. Cash works to his feet, but Juice shoots him into the ropes and hits a shoulder tackle. Cash is able to get a two count, Juice reverses for a two count, and the Cash gets a suplex and holds the bridge for a two count. Cash gets a body scissors for two. Cash then gorilla slams Juice into the ropes and out of the ring.

Dax tags in and they brawl on the outside before rolling into the ring and Dax chops Juice down. Dax lays in chops in the corner. They reverse a few times but Dax gets another chop and a snap suplex for two. Dax locks on a rear chinlock and brings him to the mat. Juice works to his feet and gets a side headlock, but Dax fights out and they start switching headlocks. Dax nails Juice with a series of shots and then gets a headlock takeover and holds Juice down. 

They work to their feet and Juice gets a shoulder tackle and then tosses Dax into the ringpost from the inside of the ring. Juice finally gets a tag and Jay works Dax over in the corner. Dax reverses a whip on Jjay into the corner, but Jay dodges the splash and hits a DDT. Cash comes into the ring and takes a DDT as well.  Jay waits for Dax to get up and into the corner. Jay hits an uppercut in the corner and then a Spicolli driver for two. 

Dax and Jay trade a couple of blows, but Jay gets a flatliner and then a German with a bridge for two, broken up by Cash. Jay locks on a rear headlock, but Dax backs them into the corner and throws chops. Jay returns the chops and they trade them as well. Dax hits a flying shoulder tackle off the ropes and both men are down.

Jay grabs a small package for two. Jay then gets a quick rollup for two. Cash tags in and Jay White hits a Blade Runner after Juice knocks Dax out of the ring for the three count.

Winner First Fall: Jay White and Juice Robinson

The second fall starts in the commercial break and Dax and Juice are running the ropes and Dax slams Juice, but Juice gets an arm drag and holds on. Juice and Jay keep Dax in the ring with quick tags and work over Dax’s arm. Dax gets a backdrop and tags in Cash who gets a flying elbow in the corner. He chops down Jay in the corner and then covers for two. Cash gets a suplex for two. Jay is able to get a standing switch and tags in Juice. Juice hits a pair of sentons and covers for two. 

Juice gets a rear chinlock as Cash works to his feet and tries to force his way to the corner. Cash is able to get a backdrop, but Jay is able to tag in. Jay grabs a neckbreaker for two and makes sure Cash can’t get to hsi corner. Jay and Juice work Cash in their corner. Juice calls for a count out and Cash gets back in the ring and Juice keeps working him over.  Bullet Club work him over, and Cash is barely able to kick out with each two count. 

Cash is able to get a surprise rollup for two, but Juice escapes. They go back to work on him and Cash is able to finally get to his corner after a series of blows.  Dax cleans house and ends the sequence with an O’Conner roll for two and the springboard off the second rope for two. Dax gets suplexes on Juice, and when Jaty comes in, Day keeps hold of Juice and gives Jay a back body drop. Dax then hits Juice with a brain buster for two.

GREAT sequence there.

Dax tries for the sharp shooter, but Juice escapes it and knocks Dax down. Jay tags in and suplexes Dax into the corner, followed by Juice hitting a cannonball. Jay covers for two. Jay calls for the Blade Runner. Dax gets to his feet and he and Jay trade chops. Jay hits a back elbow off the ropes and Dax goes to the outside. Jay grabs Cash for super pile driver, but Dax knocks Juice off the top. FTR hits a super sunset flip for two.

Dax and Cash talk strategy and then Cash is tagged in and they hit the Shatter Machine for…TWO!

Cash puts Jay on the top and tags in Dax. They chop Jay on the top and then Dax suplexes Jay, Cash leaps but Jay gets the knees up, Juice jumps from the top onto Dax, and Jay is rolled onto Dax for two.

Jay tags in Juice and Juice whips Dax to the ropes where he tags in Cash.  FTR is able to hti the Shatter Machine and this time for three.

And the match started during the commercial again for the third and final fall.

Dax and Jay are fighting on the apron while Juice and Cash are fighting on the floor. Jay gets a back body drop and Dax drops to the floor. Dax grabs Jay off the apron and carries him to the barricade where they spill over. Doc Samson checks on Jay and Dax. 

Dax is up first and when Jay gets up, they throw hands. Dax hits a suplex on the concrete floor and heads back into the ring to break the count. He and Cash then hit a double suplex back into the ringside area, and follow by doing the same to Juice. Dax rolls into the ring and the count begins. 

Jay rolls into the ring at nine and then tags in Juice. All four men are in the ring, recovering and the crowd cheers as they walk to the middle of the ring and face off. They all throw hands as we go picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Dax and Jay are in the ring and Dax is struggling to get to his feet in the corner. Jay waits for him to get up. Dax drops to the mat and Jayu calls for a super kick. Jay grabs a sharp shooter and Cash is nowhere to be seen. Dax is able to crawl to the ropes on his second attempt.

Dax tries to chop his way free and drop Juice when he tries to charge from the apron. Dax goes to his corner and no one is there, so he grabs Jay on the top turnbuckle. Dax hits a suplex from the top but can’t pin Jay. 

We are told 5 minutes remain.

Cash gets on the apron, but Juice pulls him off as Dax tries to tag. Jay is able to get a rollup for two. Jay calls for the Black Runner and pulls Dax up. Dax escapes and locks on the sharp shooter.  Juice tries to run in and Cash locks him in one as well. Juice and Jay lock hands so that they don’t tap, and FTR has to let go of the hold due to exhaustion. 

Dax and Jay struggle to get to their corner, and Juice is tagged in. Dax pulls a knee pad down, and grabs a Sharp Shooter on Juice and Juice finally has to tap.

Winners of the third fall and still AEW Tag Team Champions: FTR

FTR offer a handshake. Jay White spits at their feet instead.

Ruby Soho vs Willow Nightingale Owen Hart Tournament final

Ruby comes to the ring alone and they have to follow an amazing match. 

They lock up and Willow knocks Ruby down. Ruby kicks Willow instead of locking up and then tries repeatedly to get an arm drag, but Willow blocks it, hits a shoulder tackle for two. Ruby gets a series of kicks, but Willow hits a series of three suplexes and holds on for two.

Ruby is able to get a drop toe hold on Willow into the corner and lays in a series of knees. Ruby covers for two as we go picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Willow gets an insigiri and nails a clothesline. She works over Ruby in the corner, but when she charges, Ruby gets an elbow. Willow follows with a stampede for two. Ruby and Willow trade two counts. Willow gets Ruby on her shoulder, but Ruby gets a victory roll for two.

Willow gets a spine buster and then a single leg crab. Ruby gets to the ropes and after the break, Runny gets the spray paint. Ruby tosses the paint to Willow, When the ref takes it, Ruby rakes the eyes and hits a No Future for two. Ruby grabs the paint again and Willow hits the pounce to knock the paint out of her hands. Willow then hits the slam for the pin and the win.

Winner: Willow Nightingale

We get a video of QT Marshall trying to apologize to Powerhouse Hobbs last week. He asks if he has to find the biggest and baddest and knock them out to prove he is on Hobbs’s side. Hobbs says “Your word is your bond.”  Marshall is in Mexico for AAA tonight, so this was obviously a pre-tape.

Malakai Black and Brody King vs The Already In The Ring Randy Myers and Artemis Spencer

As Malakai is about to get the win, Andrade El Idolo comes out  and is held back by referees.  Malakai hits the Black Mass for the pin and the win. 

Oh, and the whole match was less than two minutes, and got all of the offense.

Ricky Starks vs CM Punk in the final of the Owen Hart Tournament

Punk grabs an arm bar and cranks on it. Starks reverses it and brings Punk down to a knee. 

THE CROWD IS INCREDIBLY LOUD.

Punk gets a pair of headlock takeovers. They get to their feet and after a shoulder tackle, Punk grabs head scissors. Starks reverses for a side headlock on the mat. Punk rolls him into a two count and then works to his feet. They run the ropes and Starks gets a shoulder tackle and calls for the GTS to mock Punk.

Both try for hip tosses until they get to the ropes and Punk tosses him to the floor. Punk opens the ropes and calls for Rikcy to get in the ring as we go picture in picture.

When they return to full screen, Starks walks the ropes and comes down on Punk’s shoulder and tosses him out of the ring. Starks offers Punk to get into the ring as well, but Punk waits, gets in the ring and forces Starks to the corner and beats him down. Punk goes to the second rope and hits an elbow.

Punk hits a side Russian leg sweep for two. He then grabs a rear chinlock and holds Starks down. Starks works to his feet and comes off the ropes into a drop kick from Punk. Punk slams Starks and goes back to the second turnbuckle for another elbow, but takes too lock and Starks knocks him down as we go picture in picture. 

When we return to full screen again, Punk gets the running knee. He charges again, and Starks gets a foot up. Starks tries for a DDT, but Punk blocks it and follows with a crucifix pin for two. Starks reverses for two. Punk gets a spinning kick and then another running knee. Starks is able to counter Punk clothesline for a rope based DDT for two. 

Starks goes to the top for an elbow, but Punk sits up to dodge. Punk hits the short arm clothesline for two. Punk bashes Starks on the mat and then whips him into the ropes where they both hit crossbodies.  Both men are down and struggle to get up.

They get to their knees and trade blows. Starks wins the exchange and whips Punk to the corner. Punk tries to go up and over, but Starks grabs him. He tries to slam Punk, but Punk hangs onto the ropes and reverses into a pile driver. Again, both men struggle to get up and Punk lays an arm on Starks for two. 

Punk calls for the GTS and pulls Starks up. He hoists Starks, and Starks fights his way free and avoids the kick. Starks spears Punk to the outside. Starks rolls Punk back into the ring and spears him again, but Punk grabs a front face lock. Starks gets a toe on the ropes for the break. Punk puts Starks on the top and gets a hurricanrana. Starks holds on and rolls through for two, Punk reverses on for two, Starks reverses and grabs the rope for three.
