MLW FUSION REPORT

We begin with comments from the new MLW World Champion Alex Kane with Mr. Thomas.

Alex says he told you from day one that this was going to happen. There was a time when you didn’t believe me. The league stacked the deck against him. He says he knocked every barrier down. National Openweight Champion, he stole the Oprah Cup, number one in Battle Riot and he came out on top, he took care of Davey Boy Smith Jr. He says motherf***ers like Hammerstone don’t like it when they are not shown respect. Kane says Hammerstone still hasn’t earned his respect. He says what he did was take the keys by force. You tapped out and he says he made Hammerstone his bitch. You may come back for another challenge and he says he will do it again. He says it is all for the people and this is his kingdom and empire. Alex says BOMAYE many times.

Taya Valkyrie says that tonight is the night. It is rematch time. You probably have underestimated her like the rest of the world. She says she has created her path for the last twelve years. She has never given up and she has left bodies wherever she went. You have a lot of potential, but Taya says she has to kill Delmi. She says she is the craziest bitch you will ever meet and she will prove it tonight.

We go to comments from Delmi Exo and Sam Leterna. Sam asks Delmi how she is doing after Taya’s attack. Delmi says she is doing fine after the attack. She says when she is done with Taya, she will send her packing back to Jacksonville.

Match Number One: Taya Valkyrie (with John Hennigan) versus Delmi Exo for the MLW Flyweight Championship

They exchange punches as the bell rings and Taya misses a splash. Exo with a chop and Taya with chops. Exo with en elbow and she sends Tyaa into the turnbuckles. Taya goes to the floor to avoid a knee but Exo with a baseball slide. Taya sends Delmi into the ring post. Taya sends Exo into the apron and then she chops Exo. Taya breaks the count and then she gets Exo on her shoulders and drops Exo face first into the apron.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Taya with kicks before they return to the ring. Taya sends Exo into the turnbuckles and she kicks Exo many times. Taya has some words for the referee before she returns to the attack and hits a leg drop to the midsection for a near fall. Taya sends Exo into the turnbuckles and gives Exo a snap mare. Taya works on the necck and applies a seated abdominal stretch. Exo with punches and Taya sends Exo to the mat by the hair. Taya with a kick to the thigh. Taya chokes Exo in the ropes.

Taya with forearms to the upper chest. Taya misses a boot to the back and Exo with a lungblower. Exo with forearms and chops. Exo with a back heel kick but she cannot get Taya on her shoulders. Exo with a fisherman’s suplex for a near fall. Exo with an uppercut into the corner followed by a forearm and drop kick.

Exo goes to the turnbuckles and hits a missile drop kick for a near fall. Taya with a boot and a leg trip. Taya goes for a curb stomp and hits it. Taya with a curb stomp into the turnbuckles for a near fall. Taya goes for Road to Valhalla but Exo counters with a victory roll for a near fall. John gets on the apron and Taya almost collides with him. Exo sends Taya into John. Exo with a La Mistica into a Fujiwara arm bar and Taya taps out.

Winner: Delmi Exo (retains championship)

We take a look back at recent developments involving Mister Saint Laurent with Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Matt Cardona joining him.

We go to commercial.

We are back with photos highlighting the World Championship match from Never Say Never.

We see the announcement that Don King is the man behind the BOMAYE Fight Club.

Sam is outside Court Bauer’s office and he emerges.

She asks about what happened.

Court says never do business with that crook Don King. Court walks away.

The next pick in the MLW Open Draft is O’Shay Edwards.

Match Number Two: Ken Broadway versus TJ Crawford

They lock up and Ken with a break and he does some gesticulation. Ken with a back elbow and a Japanese arm drag. Ken with a chop and a tilt-a-whirl back breaker for a near fall. TJ with a back heel kick to the leg and another kick to the leg. TJ with a chop and kick followed by an Irish whip. TJ with a knee breaker and a uranage slam for a near fall. TJ with European uppercuts. TJ misses a series of kicks and Ken with a clothesline.

Ken with punches and TJ with a kick but Ken with a forearm and a power bomb. Ken with a flatliner for a near fall. Ken goes for a running kick but TJ blocks it and TJ with an arm wringer. TJ runs into an elbow but TJ with an enzuigiri and drop kick. TJ with a butterfly bomb for a near fall. Ken slaps TJ and TJ with a back heel kick. TJ with a slingshot cutter for a near fall. Ken with a rolling elbow to the back of the head and he kicks the rope into TJ’s throat followed by a kick to the chest. Ken with a wheelbarrow suplex for the three count.

Winner; Ken Broadway

We are reminded that The Calling defeated The Samoan Swat Team to become the new tag team champions.

We go to commercial.

We are back and the brackets are set for the 2023 Opera Cup. The first round matches are Davey Boy Smith Jr. versus Calvin Tankman and Tracy Williams versus Tony Deppen. The winners will meet in the finals.

The tournament starts next week with Smith versus Tankman. The following week, we will see Williams versus Deppen.

Match Number Three: Willie Mack versus John Hennigan versus Lio Rush

They circle each other before they tease a triple test of strength but John and Lio go to the floor. Lio and John talk about who should face Willie first and they play rock, paper, scissors. Meanwhile, Sam comes up behind and distracts Willie to allow Lio and John to double team Willie. John with a punch to Willie and then Lio and John with a double back elbow. John with a kick and Lio with a splash but neither cover Willie. John kicks Willie to the floor and Lio with a rollup for a near fall. Lio explains himself and then John kicks Lio. Lio avoids John and John goes to the apron and back into the ring to avoid Lio.

Lio avoids a clothesline and Lio with an enzuigiri. Willie runs through a clothesline attempt and he sends John into Lio. Willie with a slam to John. Willie with a POUNCE to Lio and John with a springboard round kick to Willie. John sets for Starship Pain but Willie with a rollup and a Samoan drop.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Willie with a standing moonsault for a near fall and Lio breaks up the cover. Lio punches and chops Willie. Willie with an Irish whip and Lio slides into the corner. Lio goes to the turnbuckles and Willie catches him. Lio counters a Samoan drop into a poisonrana and Lio gets a near fall.

Lio goes up top and misses frog splash but rolls through. Willie with a pop up punch. John with kicks to Willie and he gets a near fall with an inside cradle. John with forearms to Willie followed by a rear chin lock. John uses Willie’s arm to smother him in a chin lock. Willie with punches but Lio with a flying clothesline to Willie. Lio and John are working together again until John kicks Lio. Willie with chops to John. John with an Irish whip that sends Willie sternum first into the turnbuckles but Willie kicks John in the leg when he goes for a springboard move. Lio with suicide dives to John and Willie.

Lio goes up top and misses a frog splash when Willie moves. Willie with a kick and stunner to Lio. Willie with a kick to John and Sam grabs Willie but Willie moves and John knocks Sam off the apron. Willie with a rollup for the three count.

Winner: Willie Mack
