COMPLETE 'PUNK VS. JOE' AEW COLLISION REPORT

It's Saturday! That means it's alright for fighting! AEW Collision is LIVE. Kevin Kelly and Nigel McGuinness have the call of tonight's action.  Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs, Samoa Joe and CM Punk with preshow comments on their matches tonight.

CM Punk immediately comes out and grabs the mic and welcomes the audience to Collision. He recognizes the gravity of the moment and calls this the biggest match of his career. He talks about his history with Joe and how he's never beaten the big man before.  Punk doesn't want to hear CM Punk chants, only Owen Hart. He credits Owen with inspiring half the locker room. He refuses to promise a win but he believes he can and will pour his heart out tonight.

We see a history package of Joe vs Punk.

Owen Hart Memorial Tournament Semi Final: Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Ricky Starks

Hobbs is dressed in a singlet very much resembling The King of Harts.  QTV has accompanied Hobbs. They lock up, huge power advantage for Hobbs. Right hands by Starks. Elbow by Srarks. Hobbs pounds away in the corner. Starks ducks a clothesline and sends Hobbs over the top. Hobbs comes in and nails a clothesline. QT with a choke to Starks as Hobbs distracts the referee. Harley Cameron is happy.  Big shoulder block by Hobbs. Hobbs has completely slowed the pace here. High vertical suplex. Starks with weak punches to try and get back in this. Hard whip to the buckle and Starks slumps to the ground as we go to commercial.

We are back and it's Hobbs with a side bearhug. Starks elbows out but Hobbs reapplies. Starks again elbows out. Palm strikes by Starks, kneelift by Hobbs. Kick by Starks and he nails a running clothesline. Hobbs reverses a whip and hits clotheslines in the corner. Fireman carry by Hobbs, he climbs the ropes. Starks slips out and nails a powerbomb for 2.  Kick to the face by Starks and Starks hits a DDT. QT with a trip, Aubrey Edwards saw it and argues with QT. Hobbs hits a spinebuster but Aubrey can't count as he's arguing with him.  Hobbs yells at QT to get down.  Starks with a spear for the pin.

WINNER RICKY STARKS (advances to the finals)

QT tries to apologize to Hobbs. Powerhouse is not happy and shoves QT to the mat.  QT begs for forgiveness. Aaron Solow gets between them but he immediately eats a spinebuster. Harley gets between them now and pleads with Hobbs to back off. Hobbs walks away.

Quick commentary: I'd love a good babyface run by Hobbs.  As much as I love Harley, I honestly think Rebel would be better in this spot.

Miro is back staying that he will walk the righteous path with no distractions.

Willow Nightingale is with Tony Schiavone. She is not medically cleared to compete. Athena shows up upset that her debut is ruined by Willow's alleged injury. The match will take place Friday.

Julia Hart w/Brody King vs. Bambi

Hart has an amazing presence. Lockup, clean break in the corner. Leg kicks by Hart, shoulder block by Bambi. Trip by Hart and she pounds away on the ground. Eye rake by Hart into forearms. Back elbow by Hart. Bambi with forearms. Chop block by Hart. Julia with the Hartless Lock for the tap.

WINNER JULIA HART

We hear from Malakai Black regarding the recent theft of Andrade El Idolo's mask. He's trying to make Andrade better by freeing him of the mask for good.

Backstage interview with Andrade. He tells Malakai that he is a business man. There is no way he hides behind a mask.  He is not a coward and that the mask is about his family and culture. Soon it will be time to fight.

AEW Tag Team Title Eliminator: FTR vs. Jay White and Juice Robinson

Dax and White kick us off with a lockup. Clean break. Lock up, leg sweep by Dax for a 1 count. Go behind by White, side headlock takeover by Dax. Shoulder block by Dax into a hip toss into another headlock takeover. White rolls away and tags in Juice. Cash tags in. Juice evades the takedown attempts. Lockup, arm twist by Juice, reversal into a fireman takedown by Cash into an arm lock. Juice with a pair of shoulder tackles. Off the ropes, Juice falls victim to a monkey flip. White tags in and nails a kneelift. Things get chippy and all four start battling it out in the ring. Double Germans by FTR as we go to commercial.

Back live, Juice tags in and pounds away at Dax into a suplex for 1. They trade chops. Cash tags in and legdrops Juice for 2. Dropkick for 2 by Cash.  Cash slams Juice and they trade chops. Reverse atmoic drop by Cash into 9 punches in the corner.  Uppercut by Cash, he gets tripped out of the ring by White and then suplexed. Shoulder blocks in the corner by Juice. White tags in and chops away. Backbreaker and Juice tags in. Bearhug by Juice, White tags in. White grabs the bearhug. Muta Lock by White, Dax with the save. White goes after Dax and sends him into the rail. Back in the ring, Cash with a small package for 2. Single underhook into the corner by White for 2. Headlock by Cash, he reverses a belly to back attempt by White. Juice prevents the tag. Cash fight off Bullet Club Gold but gets backdropped to the floor as we go to commercial.

Back to live action, White gets the tags, as does Dax. Suplexes by Dax, he sends Juice to the floor and rolls up White for 2. Running clothesline in the corner. They jockey for position but Dax nails a brainbuster for 2. Dax sets up a superplex.

The crowd thinks this is awesome. They're not wrong. Juice saves White but Cash with a spinebuster on the apron. White to the top but he gets caught. PowerPlex by FTR and they only get a 2 count. Juice nails the Left Hand of God on Cash. Cash and Juice trade chops. Dax tags in and FTR hits a spike piledriver for 2 as Juice makes the save. The clock may be turning into a factor here. White with a blind tag in. Regal Plex for 2.

All of them are exhausted. White with a uranage but Dax with a sllingshot powerbomb for 2. Running uppercut for 2 by Dax. Juice interferes with a leg lariat but Cash with a powerslam. White nails the blade runner on Cash. Dax and White go face to face and exchange forearms. Dropkick by White, blind tag to Juice, who nails a DDT for the pin.  Cash was a second too late on the save.

WINNERS JAY WHITE AND JUICE ROBINSON

We see a buildup for Luchasaurus vs. Shawn Spears for next Saturday

FTR is with Schiavone. Bullet Club Gold shows up to brag. BC wants a 2 out of 3 falls match next week. FTR accepts.

Scorpio Sky vs Action Andretti 

Andretti has the dreaded already in the ring "entrance". Leg kicks by Sky into a side headlock and a shoulder block. Leg trip by Sky, Andretti escapes but Sky with a snap mare. Rollup for 2 by Sky. Arm drags by Andretti.  Sky ducks a clothesline and nails a stomp off a backdrop attempt as we go to commercial.

Sky with a chinlock, Andretti escapes and nails a running forearm. Backbreaker/neckbreaker combo by Andretti. Back diving elbow by Andretti. Tope suicida by Andretti. Action goes back in the ring. Spanish Fly by Andretti for 2. Forearms by Andretti. Sky tries a backslide attempt. Kick by Sky, kicks by Andretti. Running dropkick by Andretti. Sky gets his knees up on a moonsault attempt. Crucifox by Andretti for 2. TKO by Sky for the pin.

We see Samoa Joe & CM Punk backstage making their final preps.

Owen Hart Tournament Semi Final: Samoa Joe vs. CM Punk

Big fight feel. Feeling out process, Joe misses a kick. Lockup, Joe misses a chop. Punk hits one and backs off.  Lockup, arm twist and chop by Punk. Test of strength, Joe has the clear edge. Punk breaks it with a chop.  Lockup, Joe misses a punch. Side headlock by Punk. Arm twist and chop by Punk, back into a side headlock. Joe misses a punch, Punk witha couple of jabs. Punk misses a dive off the 2nd rope. Chops by Joe. Round house kick by Joe. Joe with his jabs in the corner. Forearm by Punk, back elbow by Joe. Back elbow by Punk but Joe with a big elbow sends Punk to the floor as we go to commercial. 

We are back and Punk is face down. Neck crank by Joe. Punk is bleeding from the mouth. Punk fights back and they trade chops. Leg lariat by Punk and he hits a knee in the corner. Joe slaps on the choke. Belly to back counter by Punk. Jabs by Joe. Kick by Punk. Running knee strikes by Punk. Punk to the top and nails the elbow drop for 2.  Punk cant hold Joe up for the GTS. Crossface by Joe. Punk makes the ropes. Kicks by Joe, Punk blocks a powerbomb. Powerslam by Joe for 2.

Big Owen Hart chant.

Kick by Punk for 2. Punk to the top, Joe stops him and tries a muscle buster. Punk escapes and hits a neck breaker. Rollup by Punk for the 3

WINNER CM PUNK (advances to finals)

Good match, nothing was going to follow that FTR v Bullet Club Gold match.

Punk and Joe stare each other down. An Owen Hart chant breaks out. Joe offers his hand. Punk accepts but immediately gets choked out. Joe grabs a chair and FTR runs in to make a save. 

Ricky Starks comes out to assess the situation.
