It is Saturday and AEW Collision was recorded on Thursday at the FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton ON, Canada. Our commentary team is Kevin Kelly and Nigel McGuinness.
We start the show with quick promos from the people involved in the Owen Hart Tournament. I LOVE this idea as it makes those matches feel more important.
MJF (AEW World Champion) vs The Already In The Ring Kip Hoerst
MJF hits the heat seeker and covers for two, pulling up Kip to break the count. He then puts on the Lebell Lock and Kip taps out.

MJF then heels the crowd, He then says he will beat anyone from Hamilton who will come to the ring. A heavy guy starts to come out, but Ethan Page comes to the ring instead and Page slaps MJP and takes the Mic. Page says MJF has no idea what he is capable of and neither do the people in the back. He then puts over his Hamilton ON Bonafides. He then calls MJF a bare minimum bitch.
Ethen says that he will do whatever the company wants because he would get paid back in due time, and that time is now. He then says MJF needs to live up to his word and fight him right here, right now.
MJF (AEW World Champion) vs Ethan Page
MJF charges Page, but Page side steps and beats down MJF in the corner. He sets up for the Ego’s Edge, but MJF escapes and goes after Page’s knee. Page gets a jawbreaker, then follows MJF into the corner. Page follows and MJF pulls the ref in front of him. He then boosts Page into the corner, and Page does a handstand on the top turnbuckle. MJF kicks him in the head, and then hits a flapjack slam.
MJF grabs a single leg Boston Crab. Page is pulled back from the ropes and Page is able to roll through and MJF reverses it again and holds on. Page finally gets to the ropes. Page rolls to the apron as we go picture in picture.
When they return to full screen, Page fights off a heat seeker. Page hits a DDT and his leg is hurt too much to grab the cover. Page gets a series of strikes at MJF and then clotheslines MJF before hitting a hurricanrana. Page puts MJF on the top and hits an iconoclasm and a snap power slam for two.
Page calls for the Ego’s Edge and MJF gets free. Page hits a Twist of Fate and goes to the top for a swanton. MJF hits the ropes, knocking Page down. MJF goes to the top and they fight for control. Page gets a power slam from the top but jams his knee. Page crawls for the cover and MJF gets a foot on the ropes.
Page sets up for the Ego’s Edge and his leg collapses. MJF gets a dragon screw leg whip on Page and then gets the heat seeker for the pin and the win.

Dustin Rhodes vs Powerhouse Hobbs w/QT Marshall in an Owen Hart Tournament match
They lock up and Hobbs forces them back to the corner. They break and Dustin gets a side headlock as Hobbs b[punches his way free. They run the ropes and Dustin gets a flying shoulder tackle for two. Hobbs beats Dustin into the corner and works him over there. Dustin turns it around and throws hands. Dustin is whipped into the corner, but gets a boot up. Hobbs is able to press Dustin from the corner, but Dustin escapes.
Hobbs knocks Dustin to the floor and Hobbs beats Dustin’s head into the apron. When they ref orders Hobbs into the ring, QT runs Dustin into the ringpost. And Dustin is busted open as we go picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Hobbs covers for two. Hobbs hits a series of short arm clotheslines that knock Dustin down. Hobbs hits a running power slam for two. Dustin is up and fights with right hands, and knocks Hobbs down with lariats. Dustin tries for the power slam, but Hobbs blocks it. Dustin instead turns it into a cross roads, followed by a pile driver for two. Hobbs works over Dustin in the corner, and Dustin is able to pull out a Code Red for two.
QT gets on the apron and Dustin gives him un uppercut to knock him to the floor. Hobbs charges into Dustin right after that, and hits a spine buster for one. Hobbs pulls down the straps and lifts Dustin in a fireman’s carry. Dustin escapes and gets a power slam for two. Dustin is knocked into the ropes, and QT nails Dustin as the ref is not looking, and Hobbs gets a spinebuster for the pin and the win.
Winner and moving on: Powerhouse Hobbs.
Miro vs The Already in the ring Anthony Henry
Miro dominates the start. Henry gets a raised boot and a series of kicks to show some fire, but then Miro obliterates him and then ends it with Game Over.
Winner: Miro
Tony Schiavone is in the ring to interview Bullet Club Gold: Jay White, Juice Robinson, and Colton and Austin Gunn.
White talks about how the Gunns have joined Bullet Club Gold, and he says Juice Robinson will beat Ricky Starks. The Gunns explain why they joined Bullet Club, and in the last 16 months since they started, they have won the tag team titles and beat everyone’s favorites. They say they are the best tag team in the world.
Tony says Bullet Club is banned from ringside at Juice’s match tonight. Jay is upset about it and then says he has something to say to CM Punk. He says he wants CM Punk’s bag of goodies because if someone waves gold in his face, he wants it. He then says FTR has their Gold Attention, and asks them to put the belts up for a match.
Punk, Starks, and FTR are with Lexi Nair in the back on the Big Screen, and Punk starts out and tells White if he wants a belt, he can do what MJF did, go to ShowAEW and buy a replica belt. FTR say that the Gunns are shooting blanks. Dax says if they want to fight, they are ready. Starks says that without the rest of his team, Juice loses.
Juice Robinson vs Ricky Starks in an Owen Hart Tournament match.
They start with Juice shouting at Starks before moving to arm bars. They run the ropes and Starks gets a hip toss and then grabs a side headlock on the mat. They run the ropes again and Juice trips Starks, sending him into the ropes. Juice mounts Starks for blows and the ref calls him off.
Juice starts working over Starks’ leg. Starks breaks free with an elbow and they both throw hands in the middle of the ring. Starks comes off the ropes and Juice grabs him and slams him into the ropes. He does it again into the other side of the ring as we go picture in picture.
When we come back to full screen, Juice beats down Starks in the corner. Juice calls for the cannonball and delivers. Juice gives a series of mocking kicks as Starks gets up. Juice comes off the ropes with a kick and Starks calls for more. Juice then comes off with a clothesline, Starks refuses to go down and calls for more. Starks gets a backdrop then a series of right hands. He hits a leaping clothesline and tries for the rope assisted DDT, but he does get a normal DDT with a kip up.
He hits Juice with a hot shot on the top, following it with the rope assisted DDT for two. Juice tries to roll out of the ring, but Starks stops him. Juice drops Starks neck first on the top rope for two. Juice gets a Texas Cloverleaf. Starks almost gets the ropes, but Juice drags him to the middle of the ring. Starks makes it to the ropes the second time.
Juice tries to suplex Starks into the ring, but Starks lands on his feet. Juice gets an O’Connor roll with a handful of tights for two. Starks gets a scoop and a slam for two. Juice tries to call out of the ring, but Starks drags him back in. Juice charges Starks into the corner. They go to the top and Juice goes for a hurricanrana off the top, but Starks blocks it by hanging onto the top rope. Juice gets a spear into Starks for two.
Starks gets a spear of his own. Juice tries for a jack knife, but Starks reverses it and holds on for the pin and the win.

Bullet Club Gold surrounds the ring and as they are climbing into the ring, FTR and Punk come to the ring to drive them on. Bullet Club Gold leaves through the crowd as each team taunts the other.
In the back, Christian Cage and Luchasaurus are with Lexi and she asks them why Cage carries the title. Shawn Spears interrupts and Cage tells him to talk away. Spears says he wants to talk to the champ, and Cage steps in front of Luchasaurus and speaks for him every time.
Kris Statlander (AEW Women’s Champion) vs Lady Frost
Statlander does American Sign Language for “More than a Woman” before the match.
They lock up and Statlander forces them into the corner with a clean break. They lock up again and trade waistlocks. Statlander gets a slam and comes up with a headlock. Frost gets one herself and tries for a takeover, but Statlander blocks it. They run the ropes and Statlander gets a shoulder tackle. Frost tries for a wheelbarrow, but Statlander blocks it and gets a spinning backbreaker as we go picture in picture.
When they return to full screen, Statlander is hammering away at Frost into the corner and then charges into her from the other three corners for a two count. Frost escapes a pile driver and rolls up Statlander, who reverses it for two. Statlander gets a slam for two. Frost gets a German suplex and tries for a handspring off the ropes, but Statlander grabs her for a slam. Frost reverses it into a swinging DDT. Frost covers for two.
Frost goes to the top and Statlander dodges the leap. They trade lifting the other until Statlander gets a rolling clothesline, then hits Saturday Night Fever for the pin and the win.

Lexi does an interview with Andrade El Idolo, and asks about the mask stolen by the House fo Black. He wants it back from them and to show their face. We get them on a sign and they say all in good time.
CM Punk joins commentary and takes time to greet fans at ringside.
Roderick Strong vs Samoa Joe in a Owen Hart tournament Match
Roddy is on the move and Joe just waits for him to come in to lock up and they trade arms bars. Joe goes to the ropes for a break. Roddy gets a side headlock and Joe forces them to the corner. Roddy gets in chops on Joe and Joe just clubs him down. Roddy gets a leaping kick and Joe pulls Roddy to the outside of the ring. Joe goes for a tope, but Roddy gets out of the way, so Joe just leaves the ring. Roddy charges and leaps into Joe on the floor. They brawl on the floor. Joe tosses Roddy into the ring and when Joe rolls in, Roddy stomps him down.
Joe gets to his feet in the corner and Roddy gets shoulder thrusts. Joe hits a big slam to knock Roddy down. Reddy gets a foot up in the corner and is able to get a rear chinlock as Joe is on his hands and knees. Joe gets to his feet and sets too early for a backdrop, so as Roddy comes off the ropes, he kicks Joe. Joe then knocks Roddy down with a backhanded chop.
Joe takes control with jabs in the corner. Roddy reverses a whip into the corner, but when he charges Joe, Joe gets a one arm slam. Joe covers for two as they go picture in picture.
When they return to full screen, Roddy gets an elevated knee on Joe and Joe kicks out at one. Roddy tries to pick him up and Joe hammers him down. Joe beats down Roddy in the corner and then they throw hands in the middle of the ring. Joe gets an Atomic Drop and then a senton for two. Joe keeps working over Roddy on the mat. Joe goes for another senton, but Roddy moves out of the way.
Roddy gets a face buster and then a foot up as Joe charges him. Roddy gets a series of running clotheslines and then knocks Joe down with a drop kick. Roddy gets a scoop into a back breaker. Roddy gets the sick kick for two. Roddy leaps on Joe in the corner and Joe catches him and puts him on the top. Joe tries for the muscle buster, but Roddy fights him off and hits a drop kick in from the second rope for two.
Roddy hits a series of flying forearms and then gets a slam for two. Joe is able to lock on the Coquina Clutch and Roddy passes out.
Winner and moving on in the tournament: Samoa Joe
Joe tosses a chair in the ring and Joe hits a muscle buster on the chair. Punk gets in the ring to check on Roddy, as does Adam Cole. Roddy is stretchered out of the ring and next week, it is Samoa Joe vs CM Punk.
