MLW FUSION REPORT: TWO TITLE MATCHES, AND MORE

Your announcers are Joe Dombrowski and Matt Striker.

We start off with a Jacob Fatu video package talking about The Calling and his match against John Hennigan tonight.

Match Number One: Juicy Finau and Lance Anoa’i versus Ray Jaz and Little Guido versus Jay Lyon and Midas Black for the MLW Tag Team Championship

The FBI go after Lance while Mane Event go after Juicy when the bell rings. Then they all go after Juicy until Juicy pushes them off. Juicy and Lance with splashes to everyone. Midas with a drop kick off Jay’s back to send Lance to the floor. Jay and Ray drop kick Juicy to the floor. Ray with a German to Midas and then he gets Jay up for a Death Valley Driver. The FBI with a double elbow drop to Jay. Ray goes for a pescaod and takes Lance down on the floor. Guido sets for a divve to the floor but he realizes that it might not work on Juicy so he stops short. Juicy catches Guido off the apron and sends Guido into the guardrail. Jay with a suicide dive through the hoop. Midas goes up top and Lance with a Rocket Launcher onto everyone on the floor. Lance with a flip dive onto everyone.

Jay and Midas are sent back into the ring and Juicy and Lance with a splash to sandwich Jay and Midas. Juicy with a leg lariat to the back of Midas’ head. Lance with a cannonball to Jay in the corner. Ray with a belly-to-back suplex to Lance while Guido applies a sleeper while hanging from Juicy’s back. Juicy sits out and falls onto Guido to get a near fall. Juicy with a Samoan drop to Ray. Midas with a Tiger Feint Kick to Juicy and Jay with a quebrada followed by a frog splash from Midas but Lance breaks up the cover.

Lance goes up top and Jay wit a punch to stop him. Jay goes to the turnbuckles and sets for a superplex but Ray comes under and they hit a tower of doom move. Guido gets a near fall on Midas and then on Lance. Then he covers Midas for a near fall. Guido covers Ray but he is his partner so the referee does not count. Lance with a splash to both men. Juicy catches Jay off the ropes and hits a Samoan drop. Lance goes up to and hits the frog splash for the three coun.

Winners: Juicy Finau and Lance Anoa’i (retain championship)

We go to The Calling. They say there are two ways through them. First is to fashion through and the second is to go around the obstacle. You time is done. You brought me in. The Samoans are down there while the Calling is up here. They aren’t coming to help you. It is coming to crash over you like a tidal wave. You will be left alone to drown in the tsunami’s wake that is The Calling.

We go to MSL and he tells a production assistant not to send the royalties directly to MicroMan. They need to be sent to his office in Toronto. MSL sees Davey Boy Smith Jr. walk past and he follows Davey.

We go to commercial.

We are back with footage of Delmi Exo winning the Featherweight Championship from last week.

We see Taya after the match and she is not in a good mood. She sees the camera and wants to know what they want. A nobody beat her. She says that is not fair. She says she is not here to be a loser.

We are told that John Hennigan and Sam Adonis were fined $2,500 each and have to pay in a week or they will be suspended.

We go to Mance Warner.

He says he can barely talk. He does not mind if you punch him or kick him in the face. You tried to choke him out. Mance says you decided to jump him and choke him out. You took him to death’s door. He saw the light and you did that to him. Sam Adonis tried to end him. He has been in MLW for a long time. You cannot end Mance. He is going to take Sam to death’s door. He won’t beat you with his fists, or with an eye poke, or a head butt. He wants Sam in a Leather Strap Match to drag him to death’s door.

Match Number Two: MicroMan (with Mister Saint Laurent) versus Beastman (with Kimchee)

Micro avoids Beast in the corner by going way under Beast. Micro grabs the leg and Beast walks around with Micro on his leg and Beast kicks Micro away. Beast bites Micro a few times and then presses him above his head. Beast with a World’s Strongest Slam and then he pulls Micro into position as Beast goes up top. Beast misses a seated splash and Micro grabs Kimchee’s weapon. Beast collides with Kimchee and Kimchee falls to the floor.

The referee focuses on Kimchee so he does not see Micro hit Beast in the groinal region with the weapon. Micro hits him in the knee. Micro with a satellite DDT and Micro gets the three count.

Winner: MicroMan

After the match, MSL gets on the mic and he wants everyone to show their love for MicroMan.

We cut to John Hennigan getting ready for his match while Sam Adonis tells John that Taya will get her title bacck. Sam thanks John for what he did last week to Mance with the leather strap.

John says Jacob is out of his mind if he thinks he will win tonight. This match is for Taya.

We go to commercial.

We are back with the announcement of the first entrant in the 2023 Opera Cup. Davey Boy Smith Jr. will be in the Opera Cup.

We are told Alex Kane has been banned from the tournament after stealing the Cup.

Delmi Exo will face Ava Everett in a Title versus Title Match with both the MLW Featherweight Title and the WXW Women’s Championship on the line at Never Say Never.

Sam Leterna is with Alex Kane and Mr. Thomas.

She asks Alex about the Opera Cup.

Alex is angry he is not in the Oprah Cup. He says he rebranded the Cup and he wants to know who is behind this.

Thomas suggests that it is Alex Hammerstone.

Kane says it is not him. It is a conspiracy by the league. Alex says since you are trying to take things from him, the people, and the BOMAYE Fight Club. He is going to give back with the Big Apple Grapple. He says he hopes that Alex is in the house to see what is coming to him. Alex with many BOMAYEs.

Sam Adonis joins Matt and Joe on commentary.

Match Number Three: Jacob Fatu versus John Hennigan (with Taya Valkyrie) for the MLW National Openweight Championship

They lock up and Fatu pushes John away. John discusses strategy with Taya before John decides to try a test of strength but John with a wrist lock into a side head lock. Fatu with a shoulder tackle and John rolls to the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and John with a forearm to the back of the head followed by punches. John with an Irish whip but Fatu with a shoulder tackle that sends John to the apron and he goes to the floor. Taya gets in the ring and John clips Fatu thanks to the distraction. John chokes Fatu in the ropes. John wit a knee to the midsection and he sends Fatu to the floor. Fatu sends John into the apron and then into the guardrails. Taya stops Fatu for a moment but he follows John around the ring while John calls for a time out. Fatu with punches and he throws a water bottle at John.

Fatu sends John into the guardrails. Fatu sends John into a chair. Fatu with a punch and then he head butts John. John hides behind a camera man but that does not work and Fatu with a punch. John kicks Fatu when they return to the ring. John with more kicks and he chokes Fatu in the corner. John with a neck breaker and he gets a near fall. John with forearms and he gets a near fall. John returns to the reverse chin lock.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Fatu with a punch and John with a Pele Kick and a knee to the head. John goes up top and Fatu punches John off the ropes to the floor. Fatu with a suicide dive and then he sends John into the ring post. Fatu goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall. Fatu with a thrust kick and a handspring moonsault for a near fall. Fatu gets John up but John with an elbow and a swinging neck breaker. John sets for Starship Pain but misses. Fatu gets on the turnbuckles to have some words with Sam, who is on the balcony. John grabs a chair and the referee takes it from him. Fatu with a super kick and he goes up top for the triple jump moonsault but Taya hits Fatu with the title belt and he falls to the mat. John gets a near fall. John with a running knee to the head and Delmi Exo comes to ringside and Taya pushes Delmi.

Meanwhile, at the announce table, Mance Warner attacks Adonis. Taya sends Exo into the ring post.

Back in the ring, John goes for a superplex but Fatu knocks John off the turnbuckles. Fatu with a moonsault and Taya pulls the referee out to stop the count. Exo chases Taya and Juicy Finau grabs Taya and carries her away. John with a springboard round kick and both men are down. John with a punch and Fatu punches back. They continue the exchange and Fatu with a head butt. John with a kick and poisonrana. John with Starship Pain for a near fall. John with forearms and a round kick. Fatu with a splash and punch followed by a kick and head butt. Fatu with a thrust kick and a pop up Samoan drop and a triple jump moonsault for the three cout.

Winner: Jacob Fatu (new champion)

After the match, Fatu celebrates his victory.

Next week, Mance Warner faces Sam Adonis in a Leather Strap Match.

Fatu is on the mic and he says it feels good to be back home. He asks if you want to know what Bloodline he is from. He says he wants to thank them.
