Global Recognition of Women's Wrestling

The Women's Revolution in wrestling is not limited to WWE. Female wrestlers worldwide have been pushing boundaries and earning recognition for their athleticism, charisma, and storytelling abilities. Promotions such as Impact Wrestling, All Elite Wrestling (AEW), and Ring of Honor (ROH) have also made significant strides in promoting women's wrestling, with AEW even hosting a women's tournament in 2021 to determine the number one contender for their Women's World Championship.

Internationally, Japanese women's wrestling, known as joshi puroresu, has gained increased visibility thanks to stars like Asuka, Io Shirai, and Hikaru Shida. These athletes have garnered global attention for their hard-hitting, high-flying wrestling styles, further elevating the status of women in the sport.
