WOW - Women of Wrestling Episode 40: Welcomings and Whoopings

Our commentary team is David McLane, Steven Dickey and AJ Mendez

We start with a recap of last week’s main event and then we are told about this week’s main event. 

Holidead and Siren the Voodoo Doll vs The Tonga Twins (Kaoz and Kona)

The brawl starts before the bell, and Holidead is tossed through the ropes, and Siren takes a double flapjack. Kaoz slams Siren and goes to the ropes where Holidead gets in a punch. Kaoz gets snapped with a guillotine on the top rope by Holidead and Siren takes her down with a clothesline. Kaoz is worked over in the corner by Siren and Holidead with quick tags. 

Kaoz is able to roll out of the way of a big splash, and then hits a head butt on Holidead on the mat before tagging in Kona. Siren is tagged in as well, and Kona hits a series of clotheslines, a belly to belly suplex for two, broken up by Holoidead. Holidead tosses Kona to the corner, but Kaoz comes in and gives Holidead a big boot. The Tongas lift Siren up and give her the Tonga Twist for the pin and the win.

Winners: The Tonga Twins

Gigi Gianni vs Kandi Krush

They lock up collar and elbow and move to wrist locks. Then into headlocks and Kandi gets a headlock takedown. Gigi escapes with a head scissors, and they both get to their feet. Kandi gets a series of arm drags. She then gets a drop toe hold and Gigi gets to the ropes for a break. Kandi gets an arm drag takedown and then whips Gigi into the corner, and charges into her. Kandi gets a short arm clothesline for two. 

Gigi is able to whip Kandi into the corner, and then sets her on the second rope. Gigi stomps on Kandi’s midsection, and drags her to the ring apron for a blow to the chest. Gigi returns to the ring and lays in stomps. Gigi gets a Russian leg sweep for two. Gigi lays in stomps in the corner. Kandi is whipped to the corner where Gigi gets a splash and then puts Kandi in a rear chinlock. 

Kandi works her way to her feet and escapes with an uppercut. Kandi hits a discus elbow, a series of kicks and a back elbow for two. Kandi gets Gigi up, but Gigi escapes with elbows and gets a back breaker for two. Kandi then gets a back elbow followed by a right hook and the Kandi Krusher for the pin and the win.

Winner: Kandi Krush

We get a video package telling us about Tormenta and how she was brought to the US by Sophia Lopez, the greatest attorney in the world. 

We then get a video from Princess Aussie, who wants a top contender who has traveled the world, and that is Tormenta. 

Tormenta vs Princess Aussie

Tormenta is introduced by Sophia Lopez.

Tormenta shoves Aussie, and Aussie comes back with a hurricanrana. Tormenta gets a dragon screw leg whip and then grabs a single leg Boston crab until Aussie gets to the ropes for the break. Tormenta then gets a drop toe hold, and comes off the ropes with a drop kick. Tormenta then gets a leaping knee drop into a cover for two. 

Aussie dodges a charge from Tormenta into the corner and tries to leap at Tormenta, who catches her and slams her head into the top turnbuckle, followed by a German suplex for two. Tormenta gets a back breaker from a pile driver position. Aussie gets a boot up in the corner, but Tormenta just charges in again with shoulder blocks. Aussie is whipped to the corner, and then dodges a charge from Tormenta, who goes through the ropes into the turnbuckle.

Aussie gets a clothesline and then tries to charge into Tormenta, but Tormenta tries to make Aussie go up and over, but Aussie doesn’t go all the way over. Aussie gets a spin kick and then a diving hurricanrana for two. Aussie gets a pair of kicks and tries to whip Tormenta into the corner, but Tormenta reverses it. Aussie goes up and over into a back cracker on Tormenta. Aussie covers for two. 

Tormenta is able to get Aussie up for a fall away slam for two. Sophia is on the apron after leaving her briefcase on the apron. Tormenta grabs it, but Aussie kicks it into Tormenta, and then goes to the top. Aussie gets a frog splash for the pin and the win.

Winner: Princess Aussie

We get a video package showing the whole story of how Samantha Smart had Big Rig Betty’s truck hauled away.  Betty and Holly Swag finally found it in an impound lot in Tennessee, beat up the man who owned the lot, got put in jail, and were bailed out by Sophia Lopez.

We then get a video of how Betty and Holly got back to where WOW is recorded to face The Disciplinarian and GI Jane.

A reminder that I call the Disciplinarian DC in match play by play so that I don't have to type that name over and over. 

Holly and Betty attack before the bell and it’s an all out brawl!

Betty and Holly work over DC and once she tags in Jane, Holly gets a drop toe hold, and follows by hitting both knees on Jane while she is hung up on the middle rope.  Holly follows with a meteora. Smart is on the apron and guillotines Holly on the top rope. Jane and DC work over Holly with quick tags. Smart uses her ruler to choke Holly when the ref is distracted. 

Holly is finally able to grab Jane and drops backward, jamming her knees into Jane’s chest.  Betty is tagged in and cleans house. Betty gets a Russian Leg Sweep for two, broken up by Jane, and the Tag Team Siren goes off, with all four in the ring. Holly puts Jane in a full nelson, and Betty nails DC with stunner. Both Betty and Holly get a pin for three.

Winners: Big Rig Betty and Holly Swag

After the match they take out Samantha Smart and toss her out of the ring. Betty says they messed with the wrong team and the Mother Truckers are here to stay.
