Spotlight Match: Gal Barkay vs Sammy Diaz

Welcome back, Sammy! You are f***ing doomed! Gal Barkay overpowering early with slams, tosses and boots. Sammy with a backstabber in the ropes and just starts punting at his spine and neck. He’s trying to stretch the action figure but Gal Barkay rages back. Big whips, body drops and chops. Sammy with a reversal and slingshot but gets caught out of the air in the blue Thunder bomb! Sammy tries a gasp of life but Gal walks him out of the corner and hits the pendulum chokeslam for the win!

Winner: Gal Barkay

Let’s get to it! Paul Crockett is at commentary. Rich Palladino is your ring announcer. Denver Colorado is SLINGING PIZZA IN THE BACK. This music….what…It’s World Class time?!? But they’re still at their merch table slinging those Hate by 10’s and mystery bags full of chocolate and tampons! I guess we’re going right to the ring for their match. It’s an early night for Papa Bear.

Match 1: Channing Thomas (w/ Sidney Bakabella) vs 50 Cal

Channing is thinking this is TOO easy. 50 Cal is happy to prove him wrong. He tosses Channing around and exits him right over the top. Thomas skins the cat? 50 blasts him out! Bakabella already getting involved, and Chia Channing slips in the back door and blindsides him. Cal getting the beating but Channing wipes out into the buckles! 50 Cal whipping him around, rip off the shirt…Channing with a huge lariat and comes out of the corner with a leg lariat. They head back to the merch table to sell 50 Cal’s ripped shirt for $20. These are my favorite scumbags.

Winner: Channing Thomas

Match 2: Antonio Christiano Zambrano (w/ Cypher) vs Gabriel Skye

Is this just gonna be a big ol’ kick fight? Gabe decides to light him up with huge crackin’ chops.  Zambonio has a very red chest but he trips up Gabe on a slingshot into the top rope. ACZ getting his back…big kick to the abdomen and definitely not borderline low. Gabe firing up with huge shots, ACZ reverses, goes for the Pk! Gabe out of there…shining wizard! Huge gutwrench powerbomb for the win!

Rich Palladino has the mic to lay out how Anthony Greene skipped the line into a title shot ahead of him. Skye is mad that AG turned on him and he’s rooting for Ichiban tonight.

Match 3: Ray Jaz vs Bobby Buffet

Ray has a tip. If you can hear it in this room, we arent doing our job well enough. Jaz doesn’t look too happy to wrap his arms around the hungry Buffet. Jaz with a back elbow in the corner and starts suplexing Bobby at will. Bobby with the corner dodge…huge lariat and a German black hole slam. Kick out! Bobby going for a burning hammer but Jaz grabs the ropes, hot shots him into it and gets the slingshot backslide for the win. Because he’s Ray Jaz. Ray Jaz wins. And that’s that.

Winner: Ray Jaz

Match 4: Church of Greatness (Brother Greatness & Tyree Taylor) vs Chris Cruz & Nate Bradley

Cruz & Bradley just overwhelming BG early. We’re deep in the Good Brother’s head. Tyree finally with the blind tag and just using his weight against him. BG used as a weapon and splashes down for the two! Cruz with a reversal to a ddt and spikes Tyree! Bradley’s in! Double dropkick for two! They set up a finish but Tyree intercepts. BG with a DVD and Tyree polishes Cruz off with a powerbomb. This was a sacrifice.

Brother Greatness says the church’s night isn’t over. They still have business with Dezmond Cole. Boofa said it would take something BIG for Tyree to get a rematch…Cole wants it to be in two weeks at Summer Stunner…in a CHAINS MATCH! Brother Greatness agrees! Cole reveals a second stipulation…WHEN he wins, he gets five minutes in the ring with Brother Greatness. “You’re ON!” Shouts Tyree. Hot spot.

Percy Ryan is out here for his match with Boofa. Percy Ryan brags that he got a Lloyd’s of London insurance policy to protect his stellar jawline What jawline?

Match 5: Dezmond Cole vs Percy Ryan

Percy dares Cole to touch his jaw before rolling right out. Boof waits on him and just unloads with the high kicks and corner charges. Percy hits the rope and crotches him on the top. Big step up big boofa. I just got completely distracted as I realized Ryan has a bowl of cherries painted on his head. Why. Percy just starts saying “Jawline” with every attack. He is truly ridiculous. Boofa dodges out the corner and just rattles Percy. He pulls him up by the wrist and rock bottoms him down with an emphatic BOOOOOOFA and a pinfall!

Winner: Dezmond Cole

It’s Ranch o-clock. Apparently we should have missed them? Stetson wants to focus on BRG right now. His actions as of late HAVEN’T been for the ranch. He’s been costing the ranch. Well, if Alec Price wants to take out the ranch, he can take his first shot at BRG in two weeks at Summer Stunner. BRG doesn’t look thrilled.

Match 6: The Stetson Ranch (Steven Stetson & BRG) vs CPA & Johnny Rivera

Stetson starts this with the wild hound. He needs to show BRG how it’s done. Johnny is quick to show the big cowboy that he can swing hard too. cpa in and Johnny slams him into Stetson. Match 7: Joe Ocasio vs Love Doug

Ocasio is no fun. He’s gonna hate this match. Doug tries to love him. Joe is unamused. But he’s also just beat up….wait no, he catches Doug and murders him with a huge slam. It’s a LOT of brutal slams and suplexes from here. Joe being a big grumpy Gus. Doug with the dodge and tries to win with some smooches…he misses slice of love, he tries the rebound stunner but Joe headbutts him in the SPINE. A huge running powerslam finishes Doug off.

Winner: Joe Ocasio

Joe on the mic and he barks something about no one being able to beat him. Enter Gal Barkay. The Israeli Action Figure wants this fight NOW? “Maybe another time” say Joe as he leaves Gal in the ring perplexed.

Match 8: Mortar vs Alec Price

Price can’t get a grip on Mortar he’s so f***ing wet. Price needs a mortar umbrella. Luckily, we have one. Mortar trying really hard but Alec Price is protects by the finest Abel & Sons precipitation prevention prophylactic that we can buy. Price just showing off through a sequence of high flying moves with an umbrella. It’s great. Mortar is sick of this and just slams him into the apron. Very back and forth from

Here on, Price firing up and Mortar slamming him back down. Dodge the leg lariat, Mortar with a cannonball!Huge German! Price dodges a second cannonball into a leg lariat! Dive to the outside, spike cutter as he launches himself back into the ring. The Suuuuuprize kick connects and Mortar is donnnnnne. This was a sprint but it f***ing ruled.

Match 9: Big Business (Victor Chase, Julio Cruz & TJ Crawford w/ Big Bacon Brad Hollister) vs JJ Doze & Sebastian Amor & Nick Robles

This debuting trio is here to die and Big Business is here to kill them. That is exactly what happens. There is no hope. There is no mercy. Brick City and TJ just run these poor kids over. Doze kicking out just prolongs the inevitable. Big Business with with a head kick, powerslam ddt combo on Robles for the win.

Winners: Big Business

Big Business celebrating in the ring, they’ve been confirmed to be in the Eliminator Cup and they are getting TWO SPOTS on either side of the brackets and win the trophy as a foursome. NGL….THAT is intriguing.

Max Caster is out here….is  the supposed to fight Kylon King? He has a notepad. He is upset that people are critical of him but apparently he make a gesture last week that offended all of Worcester. Clearly, he needs to save his mayoral campaign from scandal! He says he is deeply sorry. He only engaged in because WE did it first. Ohhhh, he flipped us off! I remember now. Also he’s full of remorse and is suspending himself and will not be wrestling Kylon King tonight. Miracle Generation has other ideas. They take a straw poll with the audience to confirm we want Max to take this beating and RING THE BELL ITS ON!

Match 10: Max Caster (w/ JGeorge) vs Kylon King (w/ Dustin Walller)

Kylon flies in, sends Max out and throws himself into the first fan of fans trying to get at Caster. Max is wrestling with JEANS on he’s not ready! Kylon unloading! Main Event: Ichiban vs Anthony Greene (Title for Title: Wrestling Open Championship vs Skywalker Championship)

Ichiban wasn’t expecting this challenge a week ago but he’s a fighting champ and gonna take it. He’s alllllll over Greene at the bell. AG with a dodge out of the corner and a hard whip chop combo, slowing this down and breaking down OUR champ. Ichiban sends AG flying, baseball slide misses and AG hands MG’s him on the top and superkicks him to the floor. Ichiban hitting some great bursts but AG is massively experienced and is clearly out tacticing Ichiban. Slow it down, grind it out, the crowd is trying to will Ichiban back to life. EVEN DIJAK LIKED THIS ONE

AG makes like he’s going to walk off with the Skywalker belt but he hugs Ichiban and hands it over. We have Ichi-2-Belts! Wait what?!? Ray Jaz with the ambush! The crowd is furious! Ray Jaz with the Cradle Bomb! Pedro Dones is out here?!? Is he cashing in the Call Your Shot contract? He considers it opts to turn in the contract…Well, he tries but Miracle Generation runs them out of them ring. Dones is furious. He claims that every time he tries to fight Ichiban “man to man”, the Miracle Punks get involved and save him. Yes, that is exactly how that went. ANYWAYS, he’s calling his shot because we deserve a “fighting champion”. In 2 weeks, Dones vs Ichiban on the 1-year anniversary of him earning the contract in last year’s Open Door War. No DQ. Miracle Generation barred from ringside. Dones promises to show every who is truly Number One….but it’s worth noting Ray Jaz is NOT barred from ringside. Things do NOT look good for Ichiban….for now?

I keep saying it. I wrote a whole retrospective article about it. Open is GOOD S***. Everything was just on point tonight. The work. The crowd. The room. And that main event AND post-match angle? Fire all the way. THE ABSOLUTE GARBAGE PART FOR ME? I can’t be in Worcester for the next two shows! So some of y’all better get down there, get right up on the ring and smash the crap out of the apron and be loud as f*** because I get the sense these next few weeks are going to be white hot.
