Cathy Corino aka Allison Danger was been spotted at the WWE Performance Center Coach in Orlando, Florida today. The belief among those we have spoken to is that she's there working as a Guest Coach.
Corino, who is easily one of the most influential women behind the scenes in terms of helping to grow and evolve women's professional wrestling over the last several decades, had been a very popular hire for the company back in late 2021/early 2022 before being let go just a few weeks into her tenure as part of company cutbacks at the time. That release at the time placed Corino and her family in an unfortunate situation where they had uprooted themselves to move across the United States for the position and then had to pivot once again when the position was eliminated.
Corino first broke in the business in the early 2000s as a manager and as Allison Danger was the preeminent female performer for Ring of Honor, where she managed Christopher Daniels and The Prophecy, among other talents. While she was a great heel manager, her true gift for the business in many ways was her ability to coach and visualize other female performers as she and Dave Prazak spearheaded SHIMMER Women's Wrestling in Illinois, the first promotion in the United States of the modern era to promote serious women's professional wrestling.
That work kicked off a butterfly effect in the business that eventually resulted in the WWE Women's Revolution and scores of talent who have gone on to become bona fide stars that will certainly inspire and influence additional generations of performers, including Becky Lynch, Saraya and Bayley, among many others. She and Prazak both deserve a lot of praise and credit for helping to shape the direction of women's professional wrestling. It can all be traced back to their work.
Corino is the sister of former NWA and ECW World Champion and current WWE NXT Coach Steve Corino and the aunt of Colby Corino, one of the best independent performers in the Mid-Atlantic area who has been seen in the NWA and recently returned to that promotion.
