If you were Adam Cole and spent all of that time out with a head injury, would you let someone throw heavy items at your head and then fall backward through a table on the floor?
No, no I certainly would not. With that said, I would also never do that if I never had any kind of head injury. I like thinking clearly. Wrestlers are a different breed, for sure. They are way tougher than I am.
I saw one prominent reporter gave the final two matches of Double Or Nothing 4 3/4 stars for the Title match and 5 stars for the main event. I thought those ratings were ridiculously high. What did you rate them?
I don’t do star ratings. I stopped back in the 90s when I saw how ridiculous the process is. By its very nature it’s bias based for most people. If your friends are in the main event, they get five stars to some people. If someone you don’t like has the same match? Three stars! It’s ridiculous. Now, if I DID rate matches, five stars is a perfect number. There is no world that main even got anywhere close to that. The Title match was solid, but a quarter star from being a perfect match? Please, put down the damn pipe already. That’s ridiculous (and shows bias for sure).
Following up on the excellent “last shot” from Jeddah question…Is Kevin Dunn still involved, or is that way everything from a production perspective seems even better than normal (even though the last decade of the VKM-Dunn partnership delivered at times too)?
He is. Like Bruce Prichard he appears to have adapted to giving Paul Levesque what he is looking for, just as those two did for Vince McMahon.
With Roman Reigns joining the 1,000 day club, do you see GUNTHER breaking Honky Tonk Man's record for longest IC title reign?
I can't say that I do or don't see it, but I think it would be great. Gunther has been a great, believable champ. I would love to see him be the longest reigning IC champion. I have loved the dude from the first time I saw him.
I keep reading on internet wrestling sites that certain people in AEW aren't comfortable working with Ace Steele and Tony Khan just goes along with this. And in the past I've read the same thing about Thunder Rosa and Andrade. Given his past, <the rest was deleted>?
OK, first you referred to allegations against someone which may have occurred in another company that I can’t even confirm happened, so I won’t potentially smear someone here. With that said, the allegations came from outside of AEW. I would think that someone would have to happen IN AEW for someone there to have an AEW related issue with someone else.
