Update 7:30 AM 6/8/23: It has been confirmed that it was indeed Rusty Stallings who has passed away. PWInsider.com sends our deepest condolences to Stallings' family, friends and fans.
It's been announced by several online that Jeff Gann, who performed as The Gambler in WCW, passed away yesterday. We ran a career retrospective on Gann this evening that was online for about 25 minutes.
PWInsider.com has since heard from some in the Southeast that it was not Gann who passed away, but Florida-based competitor Rusty Stallings, who also used The Gambler name in the ring.
We are seeking clarification as it appears that there is some confusion based on each using The Gambler name during their respective careers. Once we have it, we will update. Thanks for your patience.
