The Stan Lane-Lauren Boebert DNA test story, which we wrote about over the weekend here on PWInsider.com was picked up by a TON of political websites, some of which credited us. The former Midnight Express and Fabulous Ones member was 100% ruled out as Boebert's father after many years of her mother claiming Lane was the father online publicly. Lane was listed as a former WWE star by some outlets since he was an announcer for the company in the mid-1990s after retiring from the ring. I can't wait for Jim Cornette's take on this madness, but do hope that everyone will respect Lane's request for privacy. The entire situation could not have been easy for Lane and his wife.
By the way, The Drudge Report used a 1970s-era photo of STAN HANSEN for Lane. They still have yet to correct. I'd like to see the alternative reality where Hansen was a member of the Midnight Express!
World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico, the promotion run by the Colon Family, will present their Anniversario 50 as a live PPV on FITE.TV for the first time in the event's history on 6/24 at the 12,000-seat Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum on Bayamon, Puerto Rico. The current plan is for the event to have only Spanish language commentary. The event will be priced at $19.99. The show will be headlined by WWC Universal Champion Intelecto Cinco Estrellas vs. Carlito Colon and Gallo The Producer vs. Chicky Starr and Eddie Colon vs. Rey Gonzales Sr. in a tag team bout. Former WWE star Epico, Orlando Colon, is now booking the promotion. WWC's TV series airs weekly on Sunday afternoons on WAPA locally on the Island at 1 PM EST. Last year's Anniversario was headlined by Intelecto 5 Estrellas winning WWC Universal Title in a 3-Way Match over champion Xavant and Eddie Colon and Carlito Colon pinning Andrade El Idolo, who was accompanied by Ric Flair. That led to Carlito's father, WWC owner Carlos Colon coming out to reprise his feud with Flair from the 1980s.
Australia's MCW is airing their High Stakes event, which took place on Saturday 6/3 in Melbourne on 6/9 on FITE.TV with Edward Dusk vs Adam Brooks, Intercommonwealth Champion
Emman Azman vs. Nick Armstrong, Slex vs. Eli Theseus, Gabriel Aeros vs. a Mystery Opponent and more. One of the real sad stories of the pandemic that was overlooked is that Australian talents like Brooks and Slex lost their window of opportunity here in the United States after Ring of Honor shut down after many months of those contracted talents not being able to travel here due to the borders being locked down.
