Wrestling Open Week 73 - 5/25/23

Spotlight Match: Paris Van Dale vs Ray Lyn

Paris hits a big should block but Ray pops right up. She does a great job keeping Paris on the backpedal until she get caught in the corner. Ripcord straight jacket slam. Ray gives up a lot of size here and Paris is bullying her. Lyn with a sweep and meteroa for two! A missile dropkick can’t end it. A cutter can’t do it. Paris hits her short ddt for the win. Great showing from Ray Lyn and hope to see her back!

Winner: Paris Van Dale

We’re live on IWTV! Sidney Bakabella and Alyssa Marino are on commentary tonight. Rich Palladino is your announcer. Let’s do this!

Match 1: Joe Ocasio vs Landon Hale

Ocasio better WATCH HIS BACK! Landon is on fire in these opening moments, flipping free of Ocasio and just making him look stupid. Joe with a huge lariat and just starts tossing Landon everywhere. A huge corner whip moves the ring. More slams, kicks, he tries stretching the good doctor out. Landon with a back cracker but it’s not enough. Ocasio heads butts Hale out of the air and a huge powerbomb ends his night. This owned. 

Winner: Joe Ocasio

Match 2: Delmi Exo vs Tiara James

Delmi runs her into the corner and pats James on the head. James returns the favor and these two just power each other to the ground. Tiara wraps up the arm and keeps Delmi grounded, the God Queen fights back and hits a huge suplex and tortures her in the corner. Huge clothesline and a bulldog from Tiara for two! Running neckbreaker! Delmi fights off an atomic drop and destroys James with a package piledriver for the win.

Winner: Delmi Exo

Match 3: Mortar & Brian Milonas vs Mutually Assured Destruction (Rip Byson & Perry Von Vicious) 

Milonas lets Mortar go first and that’s a bad idea as MAD just chops the hell out of him. Milonas complains about the amount of “cheating” going on but that doesn’t stop him from tossing Perry into the post when the ref is too busy arguing with Mortar. Mortar whipped into Perry with a shriek. He’s decking Perry, floating like a butterfly, stinging like a mortar shell. Tag to Rip and the big men are getting tore up. MAD double decking Milonas…double flying shoulder block take the big man down. Mortar tosses Perry off the top and they swarm on Rip. A huge earthquake splash ends the flurry and MAD is DOA.

Winners: Milonas & Mortar

Match 4: Brad Baylor vs Gal Barkey

Oh God I hate Baylor so much. This is a battle of better hair and tan. Gal is the clear favorite and he ruffles Brad’s coif. Gal is just destroying him. Baylor traps Gal in the ring apron and just pummels him. Gal takes a few hard shots, a flying knee for two. Baylor using the ropes but Ref Tyler catches that. Gal with a black hole Thunder Bomb? Baylor tries to avoid the inevitable but Gal destroys him with a pendulum chokeslam for the win! I love this finisher. 

Winner: Gal Barkay

Match 5: Tyree Taylor (w/ Brother Greatness) vs 50 Cal

Tyree does not know what to make of this as 50 capitalizes. It doesn’t last long as Tyree spears him into the corner. The penance begins as Tyree just busts him up. Hard kick to the ribs. 50 struggles to his feet….dodge! He get up to speed and takes Taylor off his feet! Rip off the shirt! Tyree with a discus corner that is practically a spear itself. Brooklyn Zoo bomb mercifully ends this massacre.

Winner: Tyree Taylor

Brother Greatness comes in with the sermon but Dezmond Cole…who wants WORDS with Taylor. No more sneaking around. Cole is still upset that after Brother Greatness disrespected him…Tyree betrayed him. But Tyree is alone right now. Where’s the rest of the church? Cole wants Tyree next month at PARABELLUM. Taylor accepts…so he can make an example out of him…and next week, we’re getting the NOT NICE TYREE. 

Match 6: Ray Jaz (w/ Pedro Dones) vs Ryan Mooney

Ray Jaz takes a bite on the butt from the rabid honey Badger. Jaz flung back into the ring hard. Jaz with the reversal and Mooney is just getting pummeled. Mooney with the rollup and almost takes it…Jaz is furious! Toss into the top rope and a flying knee. Mooney firing up and rakes the back. He comes running…wipe out! Jaz with the cradle bomb. Goodnight. 

Winner: Ray Jaz

It did not escape Worcester’s notice that Mr. Raymond Jazzington the -96th’s birthday is this weekend so he was sponsored tonight by https://www.rayjazfan.club and serenaded on his way out. 

Match 7: the Kelly’s (Westfield & Grayson) vs Shook Crew (Bryce Donovan & Bobby Orlando)

As before, the Kellys are twins wearing identical gear. Bobby takes a beating from these big boys. This is a long heat section. Bryce finally with the hot tag as we hit the five minute mark. Huge flying clothesline. Sky high elbow drop! The Kelly’s have the numbers advantage though. Huge double chokeslam…Bobby makes the save! Bobby with the dive and Bryce gets a tap out with the anaconda vise!

Winners: Shook Crew

Match 8: Andy Brown vs Gabe Skye

I see we have another Gabe Skye banger on deck? Andy doesn’t like these chops and kicks. He hits a huge meat slap back in kind. Skye dropkicks him outside…Andy catches the PK and just drops him on the apron. This is back and forth meat damage. I can’t call this, it’s so many hard hits. Brown blasts a cutter but Skye rebounds with a running knee for the win! This was my s***.

Winner: Gabe Skye

Match 9: The Fancy Snipers (Ryan Clancy & TJ Crawford) vs VBU (Jack Tomlinson & Dante Drago) 

Dante gonna bro it up. Clancy just runs him over. Pose! Tomlinson doesn’t fare better with TJ. Drago really wants to keep his goggles on. Clancy just wants to serve up atomic drops. Jack with the blind tag. Some good tandem work from VBU as TJ protests. It’s bad news for Clancy as Ref Bill just gets suckered into being distracted. TJ finally tags and VBU is back in pledge week. Running Dropkick into the side Russian destroys Dante Drago and does it for the Fancy Snipers!

Winners: Fancy Snipers

Clancy and TJ are still upset about Big Business’ attacks. They challenge them to a 6-man tag next week…and their partner? THE OVALTINE DREAM THOMAS SANTELL!!!!

It’s main event time and Miracle Generation wants their belts back. They even offer to make tonight’s 8-man a title match for the IWTV tag belts. The ranch is out here. BRG thinks his all-star team is MORE than enough to ensure Sweet a victory for the ranch. 

Main Event: Miracle Ones (Dustin Waller, Kylon King & Ichiban) and Dan Barry vs BRG, Channing Thomas, & Big Business (JCruz & Victor Chase) (w/ Big Bacon Brad Hollister, Sidney Bakabella, Danny Miles & Steven Stetson)

There’s a whole extra 4-man team in the corner of the World Business Ranch. Is this going to turn into some BS? This is super fast paced in the open, ripping through multiple tags until Dan Barry gets isolated in the corner. Dan getting beat down but he rolls free to tag Kylon and the King is running wild! Stereo dives to the bad guys! The numbers game is against Kylon as there are SO MANY distracting elements at ringside. Brawl to the outside, Kylon with a double northern lights and JESUS CHRIST I THOUGHT JULIO JUST DIED. Ichiban running wild! Stetson distracts with the belt! Dives from Dan and Dustin! Channing eats a German out of the air! BRG breaks it up! Massive chaos, brick end to Kylon! Kylon kicks out! The heels are furious! Dustin fighting them all off! Huge waterfall of big moves all around! BRG with a skull crushing finale…he tries to run Kylon into the belt! Kylon sends BRG into the belt! Roll up! They get the win! Miracle Generation have recovered the IWTV belts!

Winners: Miracle Ones & Dan Barry
