Legendary singer Tina Turner passed away today at the age of 83, it was announced by her official Facebook page.
Turner appeared on the WWF MTV special The War To Settle The Score as one of many celebrities backing rock n' roll music against the likes of the late Roddy Piper, who was out at the time to destroy "The Rock N' Wrestling Connection." On the special, Turner responds to Classy Freddie Blassie after he backed Piper.
Later, in the 1990s, Turner's song Simply the Best was regularly used by ECW to promote Shane Douglas regularly on their weekly Sportschannel Philadelphia TV series:
