WILDKAT WRESTLING Results from New Orleans 5/20

WildKat Sports & Entertainment was back again live from John Curtis in Greater New Orleans! WildKat kicked off the summer with an action packed night with Heavyweight Championship implications and the announcement of a new General Manager!

MATCH RESULTS:

-Danny Flamingo VS Nate Bradley ended in a No contest due to interference from Chris Cruz and Brady Pierce.

-Suge Whyte defeated Dru Taylor.

-Gigi Rey defeated Promise Braxton.

-SLIME SZN (J Spade & Buku Dao) defeated FLY DEF (Warren Johnson & Zack Mason) to retain the WildKat Tag Team Championship.

-Chuck Devine (with Rob McKnight) defeated Mysterious Q and Jace Valor in a Triple Threat to retain the WildKat Revolution Championship.

-PJ Hawx defeated Bryan Keith by submission.

-Danny Flamingo, Ryan Davidson & Matt Lancie defeated IPC (Nate Bradley & Chris Cruz) and WildKat Sports Heavyweight Champion Brady Pierce in a six-man Tag Team Match Main event.

The show kicked off with the ultra popular Danny Flamingo, who wasn't waiting until the end of the night for his championship match, calling out the Champion Brady Pierce. Pierce answered the call to inform Danny and the crowd he never agreed to defend against Flamingo again, so he wouldn't do so then or ever. The crowd and the Chalmation Sensation Danny Flamingo certainly weren't happy with this, and while Danny riled up the crowd to demand his match, Brady attacked Flamingo from behind. With the Chalmation Sensation down, Brady suddenly had a change of heart, declaring he'd face Danny IF Danny could defeat Nate Bradley.

So an impromptu match between IPC's Nate Bradley and Danny Flamingo started the show, with the champ Brady Pierce and Nate's tag team partner Chris Cruz at ringside. The moment Danny rallied back against Mr. 5K Nate Bradley, Cruz and Brady jumped the ring and attacked Flamingo, ending the match in a no contest!

A 3-on-1 beatdown ensued, with Brady Pierce and IPC assaulting Danny Flamingo before Ryan Davidson and Matt Lancie rushed the ring to aid Danny. With the odds now even, Pierce and IPC bailed, only to be met in the aisle by ANOTHER surprise: the NEW WildKat Sports General Manager Said Abumusa! A beloved figure for years at WildKat Sports as head Official, Said Abumusa was now the man in charge, and the New GM wasted no time throwing his weight around, scheduling a new main event of Brady Pierce & IPC vs Matt Lancie, Ryan Davidson & Danny Flamingo!

Not only that, but if Brady Pierce's team were to lose, Pierce would be obligated to defend his championship against Danny Flamingo!

Danny Flamingo went on to do just that! In an awesome main event, Flamingo hit the CDM before pinning the WildKat Heavyweight Champion Brady Pierce! The New GM then announced that at WildKat's next show from John Curtis on July 22nd, it would indeed be Brady Pierce vs Danny Flamingo for the WildKat Sports Heavyweight Championship!

Other Show notes:

-PJ Hawx went to war with the Underground King PJ Hawx, a contest that saw both focus on their opponent's leg to the degree both would be limping out on one leg. A back and forth battle saw PJ ultimately force the submission on Keith with the Hawxclutch, both men shared a moment of mutual respect after an excellent contest.

-With the odds against him, WKS Revolution Champion Chuck Devine brought back up for his Triple Threat in the form of Rob McKnight. In the closing stretch it seemed Jace Valor had the match won before Rob's interference allowed Chuck to take advantage and steal the win from Valor. Both Valor and Mysterious Q put on a great effort, but Devine managed to again sneak away as champ.

-Slime SZN continue their awesome reign as WKS Tag Team champions, finally defeating for the first time the awesome duo of Warren Johnson and Zack Mason of FLY DEF.

-WildKat saw a few Debuts, including Promise Braxton and Gigi Rey bringing their awesome rivalry to New Orleans for the first time. These two women put on arguably the match of the night that on this night saw Gigi Rey walk away with her hand raised.

-The powerful Suge Whyte also made his official main roster debut against Dru Taylor. Taylor showed tremendous spirit in his debut as well, but ultimately wasn't a match for the powerful and imposing Suge Whyte

-Said Abumusa's announcement as the new General Manager of WildKat Sports sees the first new GM since Matt Lancie relinquished the role after returning from injury back in 2021

-Gabe Sapolsky was in attendance for the weekend, holding a seminar the following day at WildKat's training school based out of the New Orleans area.

-WILDKAT WRESTLING returns to LIVE action at John Curtis in River Ridge Louisiana on Saturday, July 22nd. Tickets will be be available soon at wildkatsports.com
