5/19/23 Quick Results from the Best of the Super Juniors 30 from Aomori, Japan:
1 - Master Wato vs. Clark Conners
Conners continued where he left off last nigh beating down on Wato. Wato attempted to fight back with aerial attacks but Conners kept him grounded. Conners hit a spear and was about to go for No Chaser. Gedo screamed at ringside to hit another spear. Conners obeyed and hit another spear. Gedo demanded a third spear. Conners charged and Wato dropkicked his knee. Conners bounced off the ropes, and Wato hit a high angle German Suplex with a bridge.
Wato pins Conners.
Master Wato gets to 10 points.
Clark Conners remains at 6 points.
2 - Ryusuke Taguchi vs. DOUKI
Good wrestling between Taguchi and DOUKI to start. DOUKI went for the Italian Stretch #32. Taguchi reversed into the ankle lock. They exchanged reversals. DOUKI went for a Doton-no-Jutsu. Taguchi kicked out at two. DOUKI finally gets the Suplex de La Luna.
DOUKI pins Taguchi.
DOUKI gets to 6 points.
Ryusuke Taguchi remains at 0. He is mathematically eliminated at this point with a few matches left in the tournament.
3 - Kevin Knight vs. Robbie Eagles
Very competitive match. Knight matched Eagles with reversals and counters. Eagles escaped a top rope Frankensteiner and applied the Ron Miller Special.
Knight submits.
Robbie Eagles gets to 10 points.
Kevin Knight has 6 points.
4 - Titan vs. SHO
EVIL comes to the ring with SHO. SHO attacks Titan before the bell. SHO powerbombs him on the apron. Titan rallied and got advantage. SHO was in trouble but EVIL never interfered. Titan traps SHO in the Inmortal submission. EVIL jumps on the apron. SHO taps but the referee does not see it. Titan kicks EVIL off the apron. He drops SHO with another kick. Titan misses a double stomp hits a tornado DDT. Titan goes for Inmortal again, but SHO kicks him away and EVIL hits Titan with a chair. Titan kicks out at two. SHO hits a Shock Arrow.
SHO pins Titan.
SHO gets to 6 points.
Titan has 8 points.
SHO and EVIL attack Titan and rip off his mask. The young lions run in to help Titan and protect his face.
5 - Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs. Francesco Akira
Great O-Khan comes to the ring with Akira.
Kanemaru starts out attacking at the bell, already attacking the leg. Kanemaru goes for a figure four. Akira rolls him into an inside cradle.
Akira pins Kanemaru.
Francesco Akira gets to 8 points.
Yoshinobu Kanemaru has 4 points.
6 - KUSHIDA vs. Lio Rush
KUSHIDA attacks Rush's arm. Rush uses his speed to get an advantage but KUSHIDA was prepared. Rush goes for a tope suicida but KUSHIDA catches him and applies the Hoverboard Lock on the floor. Rush goes for Rush Hour, but KUSHIDA counters into a cross arm breaker. Rush stuns KUSHIDA with a quick kick. Rush hits a cross body, then follows with Final Hour.
Rush pins KUSHIDA.
Lio Rush gets to 10 points.
KUSHIDA has 2 points.
7 - YOH vs. BUSHI
Very evenly fought match by both men. YOH hit an MX on BUSHI, then hit a Direct Driver.
YOH pins BUSHI.
YOH gets to 10 points.
BUSHI has 2 point.
8 - Taiji Ishimori vs. Mike Bailey
Ishimori went for the Bone Lock quickly, but Bailey escaped. Bailey quickly attacked with kicks. Ishimori goes to the floor and throws Bailey into the ringpost. Ishimori sends him into the crowd and chairs. Ishimori continue to work over the left arm. Bailey gets thrown into the steel turnbuckle. Ishimori hits a shoulder breaker. Bailey throws kicks to fight back. Bailey with a moonsault to the floor. Bailey goes for a Flamingo Driver. Ishimori counters into a sunset flip. Bailey hits a flipping double knee to the gut. Bailey misses the Ultimate Weapon. Ishimori goes for a Bone Lock. Bailey into a cradle for a two count. Bailey misses a roundhouse kick. Ishimori hits a reverse Bloody Sunday. Ishimori with La Mistica and the Bone Lock.
Bailey taps out.
Taiji Ishimori gets to 10 points.
Bailey has 10 points.
9 - El Desperado vs. Dan Moloney
Lots of trash talking at the start. They fight to the floor and exchange chops. Moloney throws Desperado gut first into the ringpost. They exchange strikes, kicks and power moves. Desperado goes after Moloney's leg. Moloney goes for a Drilla Killa but Desperado escapes. Moloney with a high kick. Desperado hits a spine buster and Guitarra de Angel. Two count. Moloney hits a double stomp and a senton. Moloney hits a Gore. Two count. Moloney goes for another Drilla Killa. Desperado counters into Numero Dos.
Moloney taps out.
El Desperado gets to 10 points.
Dan Moloney has 4 points.
10 - TJP vs. Hiromu Takahashi
TJP get the early advantage by hyperextending Hiromu's left arm. TJP hit three snap suplexes. Hiromu kicks out. TJP was also selling his arm. The match momentum keep switching back and forth. Hiromu goes for D, but TJP gets the ropes. Hiromu tries to suplex TJP from the ring to the floor. TJP gets free and superkicks Hiromu and hangs him up on the top rope. TJP hits a Mamba Splash off the top ropes on to Hiromu, sending him bouncing off the top rope to the mat. TJP hits a Fireball. Two count. TJP goes for another Mamba Splash but Hiromu catches him in D. TJP reverses into a Pinoy Stretch. Rope break. They exchange reversals. Hiromu with a lariat then a Time Bomb.
Hiromu pins TJP.
Hiromu Takahashi gets to 10 points.
TJP has 8 points.
