Pat McAfee, admitting it "didn't even cross his mind" discussed how surprised he was about a huge outpouring of negative responses to his move to ESPN, a deal which is believed to be in the eight-figure range, on his Pat McAfee Show this week:

McAfee noted that he's most surprised by the response from some long-time supporters, asking whether "we have a good history, do we not?"
McAfee reiterated that he will maintain full creative control of his series, but admitted he likely won't go as far as he used to with expletives.
McAfee remains associated with WWE, but there is no word if and when he'll be back with them regularly, if at all.
Of course, as we reported in the PWInsiderElite.com section weeks ago, WWE and ESPN have recently had discussions of their own on new potential projects together...
