Sports Illustrated's Jimmy Traina noted on his Twitter that an email and link for the official press release touting the June debut of AEW Collision listed CM Punk at the forefront of all the talent:
Here's an interesting one for the wrestling fans: AEW's press release on their new show says, "will feature headliners including Thunder Rosa, Miro, Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs and Andrade El Idolo." Their email, though, and link to the release, mentioned CM Punk. Hmmm.... pic.twitter.com/gBxbHisvOY

None of the disseminated material for the new Saturday night series today featured Punk, which surprised a number of people within the company today as the belief was today's announcement would be timed with the official reveal of his return to the company on the premiere episode.
Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.com was able to confirm Traina's report:
WBD's press release headline for the AEW Collision announcement originally mentioned CM Punk and other wrestlers, which you can see in the cached listing (left) before it was edited (right).

h/t to @JimmyTraina for noticing pic.twitter.com/VUzkvjzbh1
Obviously, something happened to bring about the removal of Punk's inclusion in today's announcement.
What that was remains unclear.
More as we confirm it.
