NBC revealed its new fall schedule but did not announce a fourth season for "Young Rock", which is built around Dwayne Johnson (in the future as a would be Presidential candidate) telling stories about different eras of his life growing up.
In an article on Deadline.com, NBC stated that no decision had been made yet about the future of the series, which completed its third season several months ago. It is one of severa NBC comedies still on the bubble.
Among the professional wrestling personalities featured on the show beyond Dwayne Johnson has been his father Rocky Johnson, his mother Ata Johnson, his Grandmother Lia Maivia, his Grandfather Peter Maivia, Steve Austin (as played by Luke Hawx), The Iron Sheik, Pat Patterson, Andre the Giant, Jerry Lawler, Randy Savage, Jake Roberts, Roddy Piper, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, The Wild Samoans, Mr. T, Cyndi Lauper (as played by WWE's Becky Lynch), Harvey Whippleman, The Undertaker, Mankind and Triple H, among many others.
There have been 37 episodes produced over three seasons, to date.
The show is Executive Produced by Brian Gewirtz, Nahnatchka Khan, Dwayne Johnson, Hiram Garcia, Dany Garcia, Jeff Chiang and Jennifer Carreras.
