AEW ALL ACCESS SEASON FINALE - “All About The Boom”

Los Angeles, CA - Kia Forum Dynamite

(Note - I attended this episode live. Was one of the best television tapings I’ve ever been to.)

Everyone is excited to be in LA. Tay says it feels like a PPV.

Adam Cole is picked up for his surprise return. He tells the driver this is as exciting as his AEW debut. Cole says the only people who know he’s coming back at this show is Tony Khan & Britt.

Matt Jackson says match 7 feels like a PPV night. They arrive at the Forum and check in with security. They get asked who they are and they point to their photos on the production trucks. Matt hopes a great match and win washes away the anxiety of the last few months. Mama & Papa Buck greet them backstage. They have 30 family members at the show.

Tay says Tony liked her & Ruby’s match so much that her and Anna Jay get a street fight vs Ruby Soho & Willow Nightingale. There is no holding back and she hopes when it’s all over things will be cool professionally and personally between her and Ruby. Ruby explains street fights are brutal and painful. She talks to Eddie Kingston about being nervous, he says just punch, kick and bite but be safe about it. He says don’t be nervous about it, “You’re both pros”.

Cole continues his drive. He says when you’re out of sight you’re out of mind. He’s afraid the fans have forgotten about him and he’s lost his spot. They make the call he’s 10 minutes away and the sneaking in process begins. He’s driven inside the arena. A wheelchair is brought over. Cole is wrapped up in a hoodie and a black curtain and wheeled in. He’s delivered to Tony who laughs and gives him a hug. He’s out into a small closet with Britt. He’s explaining his promo ideas to her. He doesn’t know if he’s going to cry or scream and she says “if it happens it happens”.

Highlights from Dynamite.

Sammy is told by Tony there is a plan for him but he’s worried he might get injured waiting to it to happen.

Britt Baker says the women’s division is in a much better place than it has been in a while. They show the tag match with her snd Jamie Hayter vs Saraya & Toni Storm. Baker says even though she doesn’t have the title she feels she’s one of the top girls there. Maybe the belt wants her and she should reconsider not wanting to be champ again.

Tay is super nervous and hopes her and Ruby can trust each other. Ruby feels like she going to throw up knowing what they have planned. Sammy says he’s more nervous for this match than one of his own.

Highlights of the street fight from Rampage. Sammy can’t believe how much blood Ruby is losing. The reaction to Willow missing the table on the powerbomb is amazing, everyone the gasps & cringes. After the match the girls get backstage with doctors and despite how gruesome the match was everyone is mostly ok. They’re very sore. Ruby says Tay has her respect. Tay says “we’re like a family, sometimes we fight but we end up cool again”. Now she wants to get into the title picture. Sammy can’t believe how nuts the match was and just like Tay he wants to get himself into the main event.

Matt & Nick are getting ready for match 7. They want to be where they were supposed to be after “All Out” so they can write a new chapter in their book. Highlights from the ladder match and The Elite’s victory. Matt says this journey was a roller coaster ride. Mama Buck says she was shaking the entire time. This match and experience made The Bucks rediscover their love for wrestling.

Britt checks Twitter to see is anyone has leaked Adam’s return. She doesn’t think so. They walk to Gorilla. Adam is shaking as he goes up the stairs to the stage. Tony gives Cole a high five. We hear Excalibur say “the format sheet says TBD” as Tony Schiavone goes to the ring.

“YOU KNOW IT’S ALL ABOUT THE BOOM”

They show story time with Adam Cole bay bay. Britt says if his career would have been over early it would have been a wrestling tragedy, he hasn’t even hit his prime. Cole said his legs were shaking, he had goosebumps & sweaty palms and he didn’t want to be anywhere else. Cole says it was an emotional process in the ring but going backstage and seeing all his friends was also overwhelming. He wasn’t cleared at the Dynamite show but he was on the road to his return match.

Dynamite in STL in March a few weeks later. Britt gives him new boots. Cole says he loves her to death and he wouldn’t have been able to get through any of this without her. Britt leaves Cole at Gorilla for his match vs Daniel Garcia. She going to go watch full of nerves that everything works out. Daniel Garcia says it’s an honor to be in this match. His mom used to take him to see him wrestle. The Bucks greet Cole and say how sad it was not having him around and they’re glad he’s back.

Highlights of Cole vs Garcia while Britt, Jack Perry, The Bucks & Cutler watch. They’re not super excited by some of the moves and bumps Cole has chosen to take. The match ends and everyone is relieved. They show Britt & Adam in the ring. He says “we kiss on the boom”, the pause, kiss and the streamers shoot. Cole is glad this part of his journey is over and he’s looking forward to what is next.
