Cowboy Bob Orton, Al Snow, Marty Jannetty, Greg Valentine and Ted DiBiase Sr. will all be appearing at the third annual Crusherfest in Milwaukee. The event, which pays tribute to the legendary former AWA World Champion will be held 6/3 and 6/4. We have heard nothing but raves for the previous events. Announced thus for this June are nine musical acts, a tribute proclamation and match in honor of late AWA star Kenny Jay, a Mr. Saloon Contest (featuring Keg holding, a Crusher Pose contest, a beer drinking contest, a sausage eating contest and a Throw the Drunk contest), polka, a battle between the Crusher's daughters as to what the better tasting sausage and more. Dave Herro's Great Lakes Championship Wrestling will be presenting a live event as part of the weekend as well.
Dallas ABC affiliate WFAA Channel 8 featured a piece on Kevin Von Erich's upcoming appearance at the Majestic Theater for a one man show where he will discuss his career at this link. Dale Hansen, the station's sports anchor, will be hosting the show, which will cover Kevin's career. Tickets range from $47 down to $17 and there will be a private meet and greet with Von Erich before the event for $200. "I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to be doing this show, to get back to Texas and see everyone who has been so loyal for more than forty years," Von Erich said in a statement to WFAA. "We’ve got some great stories to tell and having Dale Hansen up there with me… it will be just like a Friday night at Sportatorium.”
The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Mane Event will headline the 5/19 House of Glory "Beware the Fury" event in Jamaica, Queens on 5/19.
Pat LaPrade sent word that Rick Martel’s nephew and great-nephew will team up in Quebec City. NSPW has announced over the weekend that Rick Martel’s nephew, Keven Martel, will make a comeback to team up with his son, Shawn Martel, for the very first time on June 17 in Quebec City. Keven wrestled mainly in Quebec at the end of the 1990s, early 2000s and was voted Quebec wrestler of the year in 2002. He had stopped wrestling in 2004. Shawn just started in 2023.
