The 4th edition of Tommy Fierro's 80s Wrestling Con drew a massive crowd today in Middletown, NJ at the Mennan Sports Arena with fans from over 40 States and several countries coming for the festivities.
The largest draw of the event was easily WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart, who sported a massive line that nearly circled the venue.
Dory Funk Jr, making a very rare signing appearance, also had a healthy line all day, signing copies of his recently released memoir. Accompanied by his wife Marti, Funk was in great spirits.
Others appearing included Sgt. Slaughter, a reunion of Nikita Koloff and Magnum TA, Beverly Brothers, Demolition, Powers of Pain, “Dr. D” David Schultz, Wendi Richter, Bob Orton, Killer Bees, Lelani Kai, Skinner, Brooklyn Brawler, Downtown Bruno, The Original Midnight Express of Randy Rose and Dennis Condrey, Papa Shango, Tony Atlas, Tommy Rich, Mr. Hughes, Rita Marie Chatterton, Paul Roma, Craig DeGeorge in his first-ever convention appearance, former WWF Prime Time Wrestling personality, Jameson, Manny Fernandez, Mario Mancini, Mike McGuirk, Marty Jannetty, Gerald Brisco, Typhoon, Bull James and many more.
Bill Apter was doing live karaoke at the convention, including a big rendition of Sweet Caroline.
Visiting at the event were John Arezzi, former ROH owner and ambassador Cary Silkin, the legendary George Napolitano, the lovable (well likable...maybe?) George Tahinos, Kevin Gill and many, many others.
