TMZ.com is reporting that former WWE Tough Enough winner Sara Lee's death was a result of suicide.
Lee earned a $250,000 one year contract with WWE in late August 2015 via her TE victory. Lee, who entered the competition with a powerlifting background but was a novice to professional wrestling, was overwhelmingly popular with viewers of the show and voted the winner. She wrestled and lost to Alicia Fox that evening, making it her lone televised WWE bout. Lee had not made her official NXT TV debut at the time of her September 2016 release from the company, but had been working live events, including some work as a heel.
She was only 30 years old at the time of her passing.
PWInsider.com continues to sends our deepest condolences and best wishes to Sara's husband Cory "Wesley Blake" Westin, their family and their friends.
