S1 E3 - Winter Is Coming
AEW ALL ACCESS Garland, TX
Ruby Soho talks about how amazing her return was the prior week. She says Tony was so happy with it she’s getting a singles match against Tay Melo. They show her taping promos for the show. Ruby says she knows accidents happen but she has a right to feel apprehensive in the ring with her.
Matt Jackson and wife Dana arrive. The Elite have the week off during the 7 match series. Tay & Sammy greet them. Tay is very excited she’s getting a spotlight match on the “Winter Is Coming” episode. She hopes everything goes well so they don’t blow a big opportunity.
Britt Baker is getting photos done and Willow Nightengale approaches her with a dental question. DMD does a quick exam and notices a minor issue. They talk about wanting to protect their teeth but not wanting to wear mouth guards because their smiles are important.
Sammy says it’s week three of being off Dynamite and he’s getting concerned. He does have a run in so at least he’s on TV. His mother is coming to visit the show.
Britt goes to visit Kenny Omega and asks him to watch Adam Cole work out in the ring with doctor. She asks Kenny how he is feeling now that he’s back full time. He says his conditioning is there. He’s concern about Cole coming back too soon. Baker doesn’t want to be the bad guy in the situation telling Adam to not push it. He agrees to go with her to see the work out.
Deborah Guevara is at the show to see Sammy. Talking to camera Sammy tells us about how much she supported him in his journey to become successful. We see clips of the action and Sammy getting beat up by Jon Moxley. They go say hi to Tony Khan. She embarrasses Sammy by asking TK about a “Mama Panda” t-shirt idea. He laughs and says he can’t take her anywhere.
Ruby & Willow go over plans for their segment with Tay-Jay. We get footage of Willow’s match and then the planned run-in. Tay says everything went great. She said Ruby being mad at her made her more sassy and she feels the segment went better because of it. Ruby feels the same and that it’s nice to be able to do business the right way even if you don’t necessarily like your opponent.
Sammy goes to visit the old “Wrestle Circus” venue with his Mom & Tay. He starts climbing a fixture where he once did a moonsault. Tay says she’s heard about the building but wasn’t with him when he was in Wrestle Circus. Deborah tells Tay she would give him the car and $60 for a motel but he would always come home early. He gets emotional saying he wouldn’t be in AEW without the promotion giving him a shot.
Adam Cole (note they use his real name Austin Jenkins a lot where it is not that way for others) arrives at the gym. He’s nervous. Also nervous are Kenny & Britt who arrive. Cole says his goal is to come back at the LA Forum show. Kenny says he’s there to encourage Cole to not do too much too soon. AEWTrainer Bryce Ready arrives and gives Adam instructions for what he wants to see. He tells him to run the ropes and get some cardio in, he also says too stop if he gets dizzy (which Cole does a little bit). Cole is wondering if the dizziness if the concussion or just his body not being used to moving around. Kenny gets in the ring to help him with timing. The doctor has seem enough, he says no bumping but that everything he did see was very positive. Everyone is happy with how it went.
At Dynamite Nick Jackson explains the emotions of getting back to work and the roller coaster of how the fans have responded to them. They’re trying to get cheers on their way to regaining the trios titles.
Tay is excited about her first singles match as a heel. Sammy is bummed he’s in his home state and he isn’t doing meet & greets and isn’t on the posters. He doesn’t want his momentum to stall.
Ruby has anxiety over working her first match in four months and working with Tay who she feels is not safe.
Britt is starting the build to the women’s tag match with Jamie Hayter against Saraya and Toni Storm for the LA Forum.
Sammy is excited he got on the show in a singles match against Jon Moxley. It’s a one off match and he’s got his eyes set on a long term main event title program.
Highlights from Dynamite.
The Elite head to the ring for match four. Matt is excited about the possibility of winning a title in an arena in his home area. They play the highlight of the match and they announce the no DQ sixth match.
Ruby is headed out for her match with Tay. They play the Dynamite footage. Tay says it was great and we see Tony Khan congratulate them. She said she thinks Ruby still doesn’t like her but the match was good so she can deal with it. Ruby agrees the match went well and she’s excited that their program will continue. She alludes to then “upping the ante” teasing the hardcore match in LA.
Sammy vs Moxley is next. Sammy says he’s focused on the match and he’ll deal with the politics of any further push down the line. They show the match highlights. After the match they take Sammy to medical to make sure he isn’t concussed. Sammy loved the match and is fine despite staff being concerned. Tony compliments him on the match after the show. They go into Tony’s office and Sammy asks about further singles matches and asks where he’s headed. Tony shows him what’s he got mapped out for him. Sammy doesn’t want to not capitalize on the heat he has. Tony says he will keep him active but still in the mix with Jericho for a few more weeks.
Next week it’s Dynamite from the KIA Forum.
