Wrestling Open Week 69
4/27/23 Worcester, MA
Big Bacon has some thoughts for the city of Worcester.! The Miracle Ones have a title celebration! Alec Price vs Dan Barry III?!? It’s Thursday!
Spotlight Match: Thiccc Daddy Uptown Andy Brown vs The Wander Soul Jimmy Townsend
The Australian backpacker apparently got lost at Albuquerque again and wound up in Worcester. This is fun. Townsend gets a few good speedy shots and sweeps on Brown. Launch into a spike ddt. Andy turns it around and blasts him out of the air with knee. Butterfly neckbreaker. Jimmy trying to fire back but Andy powerbombs him to hell and a flying punch puts the lights out for three.
Winner: Uptown Andy Brown
Alyssa Marino is our announcer. Paul Crockett is your commentator tonight! Let’s do this!
Match 1: the Big Boofa Dezmond Cole vs Tyree Taylor (w/ Brother Greatness)
Tyree blasts out of the entryway and takes out Cole with a chair. Brother Greatness grabs the mic to say that wasn’t enough. Tyree unloads with chair shot after chair shot. The bell is ringing to stop this but Tyree rolls him into the ring. Huge Brooklyn Zoo in the center. BG is giving a bible lesson to Dezmond while Tyree sets up a door on chairs. Another bomb through the door as Greatness calls this exercise the funeral of sin. All the refs get out here to peel Boofa off the mat. What a beatdown.
Winner: No Contest

Match 2: The Long Island Landmine Joe Ocasio vs Carl Randers
Randers came out to Kokomo…because he’s FROM Kokomo….Indiana. He gives Ocasio a few quick surprises before eating a big side slam. Joe tries a press slam, Carl out to a flying bulldog. He slingshots back in…right into a stiff elbow. Randers looks dead as Joe hits a powerslam for the win.
Winner: Joe Ocasio
Match 3: The Kelly Twins (Graceson & Westfield Kelly) vs Rex Lawless & RJ Rude
Twin teams are hard because it’s tough to tell which twin is which right now. My apologies to the Kellys. Rude isn’t faring well by himself but Rex gets in to unload some heat. Big tandem splash doesn’t end it. It seems a bad idea to leave Rude alone with the Kellys, as he just is getting pummeled in their corner. Double running uppercuts while RJ is trapped in the ropes. Looked brutal. The Kellys are confident as they beat on the smaller RJ…but he dodges, rolls to the tag! The Pectoral Poseidon is unloading! A Kelly eats a chokebomb Blockbuster and that’s a wrap for their debut.
Winners: RJ & Rex
What do you all think? https://t.co/0Slr40SGMU

RJ Rude is still upset that he was blindsided by Brian Milonas…so he challenges him to a match next week. Uh….is that wise? Rex looks supportive but maybe not too sure for his little buddy’s prospects here.

Match 4: Nobody’s Betta Michael Mistretta vs The Israeli Action Figure Gal Barkay
Gal beats the hell out of Mistretta. That’s the match. Mistretta is trying to get any traction but Gal keeps overpowering him. Gal gets over exuberant and runs on the post. Mistretta laying in shots but he decides to taunt the crowd. Bad move. Gal’s back. Mistretta booted & yeeted. One pendulum chokeslam later, Mistretta has three seconds to rethink his moniker.
Winner: Gal Barkay
Match 5: The Jawline of Professional Wrestling Percy Ryan vs The Goatest of All Time Bobby Orlando
Ryan is all about that chin and Mom is all about hitting that. Big jawbreaker sequence but Percy is just really Mad about that. He tries to hold Orlando down but Bobby unloads the slam for two. Percy stuns Bobby with a knee but pops himself into cutter. Bulldog off the corner for the win!
Winner: Bobby Orlando
Match 6: Your Favorite International Pop Star B3CCA vs Rebecca J Scott
Shannon LaVangie is on commentary for this one. Becca is upset about being across the ring from “fake Becca”. The crowd is all about chanting for Becca’s. Scott with some good early offense but “real Becca” unloads some chops….Uhoh, taunting again. Scott dodges and fires off a flurry of punches…Becca with a big slam, suplex. She goes for a dragon sleeper….Scott fights it off! She walks into a huge backbreaker for two. She stands tall over Scott, who grabs a heel hook! It’s deep! Becca kicks free and starts slamming her head into the mat in a frenzy. She grabs a chin lock and swings her around. Shannon LaVangie leaves commentary to eat popcorn at her rival. Scott with a pair of shining wizards and a basement dropkick only gets a two tho. Becca with a huge yakuza kick. She tries another but Scott wraps on a sleeper. We only have a minute left! Scott with a slingshot flatliner for two! She goes for a moonsault but Becca kicks her in the head. She goes for a powerbomb but Rebecca Scott rolls her up for the three with ONE SECOND LEFT! This was way better than I think anyone expected.
Winner: Rebecca J Scott
Did you feel that?! It’s the #quickening ! There can be only one Becca!#wrestlingopen pic.twitter.com/hpVnNMkqKx
— the frenzy of tongs (@frenzyoftongs) April 28, 2023
Becca is furious and shoves Shannon out of her chair at ringside. Becca says Shannon is a PITA. But if she really wants a one on one with the pop star…she’s got it.
Match 7: Top Five Dead or Alive Sammy Diaz vs The One-Lunged Angel Bryce Donovan
Bryce is confidently walking through Diaz early. He has an answer for everything and hits a pop up flapjack. Sammy with a dragon screws on the rope gets the edge and he works that leg on the ropes and posts. Bryce dodging but the leg is an ISSUE. He can’t hold Sammy up. He hits a pop up bomb but it’s painful. He hits a one-foot tko. Kick out! Sammy with an enziguri and brain buster! Huge frog splash! Kick out! Sammy comes flying but Bryce hits the black hole slam! He wraps up the anaconda Vice! Sammy taps!
Winner: Bryce Donovan
Big bacon Brad Hollister is out here to address the crowd after his title tournament loss to Ichiban last week. He talks about how he’s gone full circle from his injury here four years ago. He felt forgotten when he came back. But after last week, he doesn’t expect he’ll be forgotten again. He says every tournament opponent…and wrestler in the back…and member of the crowd…can kiss his ass! Oh he wasn’t being genuine? He says he was outnumbered in the tournament. It was a gang beatdown basically. To beat a gang, you have to bring a gang. Bacon has a gang? Bring it on! This was excellent.

Match 8: The Kings Road Slayer Derek Neal vs Wrestling’s Cupid Love Doug
Derek Neal is all business and no clowning around with stupid prom poses or smooches or flower petals or tests of love. Big chops as Neal is unfazed by the shenanigans. Huge running dropkick into the corner for two. Big northern lights for another near fall. Doug hits a cross body but Neal just bowls him over as soon as he gets up. Side suplex for two! Doug throwing hands and Neal blasts him down. Elbow drop for two! Neal is yelling at Doug to fire up. He yells at him to stay down. Doug won’t quit and Derek Neal dishes out a ton of punishment. He tries a sleeper, Doug backs it in a corner…Doug with a boot and a bulldog out of the corner! Neal powers through the slice of love, stuff knee and a tiger bomb! Doug rolls up the dude buster…kic out but pops up and hits the Slice of Love for two! Neal goes for a big lariat, Doug hits the rebound! Derek Neal is down but damn this was a fun match.
Winner: Love Doug

Main Event: The Prize Alec Price vs Never Be Famous Dan Barry
Alec Price is alone tonight but still came out to that Stetson Ranch music. We don’t like this. Can Dan Barry finally get a win over Price in this, their third one on one contest? Dan wraps up the arm…Price drags him over and wrenches it. The lack of respect is clearly in Alec’s head as Barry controls him in these Opening minutes. Back and forth on the ropes, Alec hits a flying crossbody for two! Alec going for his knee sequence but Dan belly to bellys him out of the corner. surfboard stretch choke! Alec really wants Dan in a corner but nobody puts Barry in the corner. Slingshot senton off the apron. Price trying to swing but Dan clocks a back elbow. Enziguri from Price…standing moonsault for two! Price gets him up too but Dan Barry hits an air raid crash into the top buckle Jesus Christ! Back and forth, Dan turns him inside out with a lariat! Cannonballlll! Back to the top…Dan escapes a sunset flip powerbomb! Hoodstar stomp! Stetson is out here to cheer for Alec as he sets up the Suprize kick! Dan dodges it…Alec tries a block bustah…Barry catches him to a sitout bomb! Stetson steals the One More Time chant…Price is distracted and Barry flips him out to Stetson. Big dive from Dan! Alec stunned…Dan hits a tombstone as stetson staggers to the back. Kick out! Stetson tries to distract Dan…Price with a ddt through a northern lights! Suprize kick! Stetson says to hit another one! Alec argues with Stetson but pulls up Dan for a second one…Dan Barry with the rollup…bridge! He gets it! Dan Barry beat Alec Price!!!! This ruled.
Winner: Dan Barry

It’s time for the Miracle Ones Championship celebration! Miracle Generation Carrie’s newly crowned Wrestling Open Champion Ichiban to the ring! Dustin puts over how hard Ichiban worked to EARN that belt. A couple of years ago, they were building the ring. Now they own it! They’ve earned the right to represent Wrestling Open and IWTV respectively. They have words for Ray Jaz and Pedro Dones, who they would love to have a chance to beat on. Raydro. lol. Ray was suspended indefinitely I rely but they ask to have it lifted so they can get even. Dustin passes the mic to Ichiban who says “Thank You”. At that moment, Stetson Ranch (minus Price) hit the ring, wipe out the Miracle One and steal ALL THE BELTS! They heist the hardware and run out of fire door! Ichiban is back up but Miracle Generation is down and out. Refs fill the ring to help the champions out of there. What a show!
