ACTION Wrestling “5th Anniversary Mystery Show”
4/28/23 Tyrone, GA

ACTION has been a favorite of mine for the last few years and tonight, they celebrate their 5th anniversary as an active promotion! It’s a Mystery show! I have my suspicions of what this could be….but let’s kick back and party! Tyrone is packed!
 

Action is synonymous with the promotion and he’s out to own the microphone. He’s got an open challenge to throw down! The crowd is very much with Mack as he goes through his entrance. Who’s it gonna be? Rico Gonzalez!

Match 1: AC Mack vs Rico Gonzalez 

Mack seems a little confused why it’s Rico stepping up to the plate. This is a proving ground for Rico tonight. Rico frustrating Mack early but AC just body tosses him out to the floor. The lower back is already hurting. Rico with a huge slap and gets right in Mack’s face! Slingshot arm drag! Mack powders but Rico comes right at him. He wants this and stays on the former IWTV champ. He goes round the world but Mack walks off the dive. OW. Mack with a round the world boot and just talks a ton of trash to Gonzalez. He leaves Rico laying and waits the ref’s count….Back in at 9! Mack throwing hands….big meteora and Mack is going through his playbook. Rico desperately bits at Mack and eats a hard knee. Sunset flip for two! Mack trips him running just for two. Mack getting frustrated that Rico won’t stay down. Crowd is getting split for these two. Rico comes running but Mack spears him. Two again! Rico cracks him with a head kick on the apron….standing apron double stomp!!! Rico goes round the world, big boot! Kick out! Rico with a running boot and a bounce back elbow drop! Kick out! Slingshot….Mack takes him out of the sky! AC wants the Mack 10…Rico reverses…..Mack reverses….rollup….Rico gets the three!!!! AC Mack is bewildered at the loss but he holds Rico’s hand up for the crowd. Great start!

Winner: Rico Gonzalez

I was hoping we’d get some Good Hand in action tonight and they slither into the room from the entrance, as usual. Suge doesn’t want a mystery opponent….he wants Damian Tangra to come out here. Alex Kane is too busy for Tangra but if Damyan can beat Kevin Ryan, Suge says he’s see what he can do. There’s no mystery, the Mat Scientist is here!

Match 2: Kevin Ryan (w/ Suge D) vs Damyan Tangra

The kids of Tyrone love Tangra. Suge positions himself right behind Tangra at ringside. Kevin Ryan powders IMMEDIATELY. Tangra rolls his eyes and gives chance. Unloads on the brain dead one. Suge tries to intercept but Tangra has a shot for him too. Hard chops send Ryan screaming for cover but Tangra miscalculates and boots to the post. Kevin is too bust gloating and Tangra catches him with a butterfly suplex……but his leg looks bad. Suge takes the leg out from the apron, the ref is blind! Ryan with a huge dive to the floor, this is becoming a handicap match. Tangra grounds Ryan and tries for the submission but that leg is still a factor and Ryan uses it against his opponent. Tangra going for a superplex but Suge distracts. Fighting onto the stage……the production crew looks terrified. Lol. Tangra cradle tosses Ryan off the stage to the apron owwwwwwww. A trio of gut busters! Kevin Ryan kicks out. Kevin lands a hard kick….piledriver…kickout! Tangra takes him up…..Kevin Ryan hits a Spanish Fly! Only two! Suge grabs a chair from the crew and passes it off. Ryan sets it up in the buckles. Ryan hits a double knee into the chair! Tangra wraps up a STF! Suge trying to pulls him to safety. Ryan tries to bite free but goes out. Suge looks so disappointed.

Winner: Damyan Tangra

Suge D grabs the mic. He is UNHAPPY. He says he’s many things….but not a liar. On June 16th, he gets his fight with Alex Kane….but as it turns out, Tangra has another match tonight….a stomp out! The Good Hand laying a beatdown on Damyan! Matt Sells is out here to make the save. Ryan and Tangra battle to the back but we still have a fight in the ring? We have another match!!!

Match 3: Suge D vs Matt “Sex” Sells

This is just a full on brawl. Suge sent to the floor and Sells dives out. Suge drops Sells on the apron as we notice Kevin Ryan is back out here. Suge grabs a chair and uses Sells as a footstool. Wow. Sells eats the chair and Suge tries for that elusive count out win. Sells. Barely making it to his feet as Suge riles up the crowd. Matt waking up as a series of punches and chops…the Mayor is alive! Suge eating chop after chop! Double throat thrust! Rebound spike cutter! Kick out! Suge blocks the palm strike…deadlift flatliner for two! Sells lands the shot! Kevin Ryan pulls the ref. That should have been it! A big dude hits the ring and starts killing everyone, including ref shiny shoes. Suge is overjoyed as his new dude (who looks kind of like, but isn’t, W Morrissey) cleans house. Suge hits a piledriver as a new ref runs in to make the three count. This isn’t a no contest?!? It’s a win for Suge. Wow. Who is this new dude?

Winner: Suge D

Suge has the mic again. Big dude is choking Matt as Suge runs down his career. Matt Griffin and Dylan Hales are trying to stop this. Suge introduces his new man as “The Wall”. He tells Matt Griffin that the Wall should replace Sells on the roster. No more games, says Suge. It ain’t no fun when the rabbit’s got the gun. Another wild Good Hand moment in Tyrone. Matt Sells has a lot of think about after this. 

Match 4: Out of This World (BK Westbrook & Erik Royal) vs The Skulk (Adrian Alanis & Liam Grey)

Out of this World is ready to make their case for a tag title shot against the inaugural champions. The Skulk has to get through their gauntlet os children they have to fight first though. Dylan Hales says ref Shiny Shoes had to go to the hospital after the Wall’s attack in the last segment. Both team try to ambush the other on the floor but it finally results in Liam and BK going back and forth with some high flying antics. High crossbody and Alan’s is in to get the Skulk combos going. Grey with a blind kick to the back. Acegawd is just stuck in tag rope limbo. Grey with a somersault over Alan’s to hit Out of this World on the floor! Liam misses a round the world and crashes into the front row…Arik off the apron wipes out Alanis! Royal just tosses Liam to the floor like a bag of trash. Liam is just getting pummeled by the Acegawd. Grey catches BK with a leg drop spike into the apron….tag to Alanis. He’s trading with Royal and BK! Royal sent to the floor! Slingblade neck breaker! Suicide dive into Erik! Bk eats a dive and the Skulk looking to finish this off. Cutter backbreaker for two! Real good combos there. Royal pins Alan’s in the corner…big dropkicks and splash to the corner! Slingshot corkscrew splash from BK for two! Liam escapes a bomb….backcracker! Alan’s almost steals the rollup. Facebuster! Liam with a splash off the top…kick out! Royal sends Liam flying. BK picks up Alanis and Royal hits the super Kobe for the win! Wild tag match!

Winners: Out of this World

Team TWE is here. Number One Jaden Newman is out here with his goobers and the crowd haaaaaaaaaates this. He says he hates Mystery shows! He hates that he’s not the ACTION Wrestling champion (after losing to Adam Priest in Germany). He wants respect. The crowd gives him that Number Two chant. He makes a point to talk about how he kicked Erron Wade to the curb for being a loser and a failure and an embarrassment to the TWE PC. Erron wants a fight…..but he has no friends! OR DOES HE?!? COACH KODY IS HERE! It’s a Squatting Dragons reunion in Tyrone! Is this 3 on 2? Do they have a third? 

Match 5: Team TWE (Jaden Newman, Carson Dilbeck & Noah Hossman) vs Squatting Dragons (Coach Kody Manhorn & Erron Wade)

TIME FOR SOME SQUAAAAAAAATS! Team TWE is completely flustered that they actually have to do some work tonight. The former TWE tag champs are running over Dilbeck early. Tandem squat slam for two! Squatting double suplex! Carson gets Hossman in there but Wade is serving up some heavy kicks! Wade distracted in the corner, Noah traps the arms and unloads with a flurry of headbutts. Earthquake splash for two. Erron Wade is getting rag dolled and pummeled by TWE. Noah sneaks around and posts Manhorn. He looks dead and Erron Wade is left 3 on 1. Jaden with a back suplex! He grabs the mic. He calls Wade a loser and stomps him out. And at that moment…..KRULE’S MUSIC HITS! Jaden Newman summoned a monster! He’s the third man! Krule unloading uppercuts and boots. Corner charges! Chokeslam to Dilbeck. Newman watches in horror from the floor. He tries to blindside Krule. Bad idea. He charges and Krule kind of hits s shoulder block side slam thing. Scorched Earth! Erron Wade asks Krule for help and he reverse choke slams Wade into Newman for the win! ahahahahahaha!

WInners: Squatting Dragons & KRULE

They need to peel Newman off the mat so we’re going to intermission for a few. 

We’re back ALEC PRICE is here?!? He says he’s here because he keeps hearing that there’s nothing better than ACTION Wresting. They are so lucky to see the Northeast Beast make his debut in person. He’s gettin’ WHATTED to death so everyone is GAHBIDGE. Those Southeast First chants starting to fire up. Who is gonna shut Price up? The heart and soul of ACTION is here!

Match 6: “The Prize” Alec Price vs Bobby Flaco

Bob’s here! The crowd is fired up and Price is already aggravated. I’ve missed classic s***head Alec Price. Bobby staying ahead and slipping Price’s grip early. The crowd is allllllll over Price. Flaco with a good head scissor. Slingshot crossbody for two! Suplex and a stomp, Price is starting to fire up but ends up yelling at children. Snap suplex for two. Price going for the trash knee sequence…..Flaco reverses….twisting stunner! X factor! High cross body for two! Alec caught on the apron with a lariat…Bobby baseball slide! Top rope body dive to the floor. Slingshot cutter for two! Price dodges a double stomp…..He slingshots Bobby face first into the bottom buckle. HORRIBLE LANDING AND BOBBY ISN’T DEAD. Powerbomb for two! Price with a saito. Air raid crash neck breaker! Flaco kicks out again but he just took a LOT of punishment to the head and neck. Bobby coming back up but Price is pie facing him. Bob’s mad! He unloads on Price with slaps and knees! He tries the cutter…Price catches a half and half…Bobby with a tornado ddt. A-YO DRIVER! Price looks glass-eyed as he stays down for the three! Lot of fun.

Winner: Bobby Flaco

Main Event: Adam Priest(c) vs Daniel Makabe (for the ACTION Wrestling Championship)

HELL. YES. Ol’ Any Style defends his title against the Wrestling Genius. What a perfect main event for this 5th Anniversary! Makabe trying to control the champ early, he wants this to be a grappling chess match. Priest is able to defend and really disrespects his challenger. He’s annoyed and kicks out the the leg of Adam. Running dropkick! He tries to trap a pin but Priest was ready for it. Hard chop stuns Makabe. Priest tries to clip the knee, Makaba figures out the counter! He’s trying to wrap up Adam but Priest bites free. The knee is a target for Makabe though and he’s honing in on it. Priest catches Makabe and just chucks him to the floor! Priest to the top?!? The champ flies down to the floor! Roll tide! Priest is limping hard but he’s stalking Makabe through the crowd. They fight into the bleachers. Priest chopping like mad, Makabe pokes the eye! Priest dodges a charge, Makabe caught in the tree of woe. Priest with a dropkick! Makabe rolls through and tries to wrap up that bad leg. Makabe misses a knee drop….he misses the fastball punch! Priest with a dropkick to the knee! Figure four? Makabe rolls him up. Both guys can barely stand. Makabe with a hard shot to the chin, Oriest chops the knee from the ground! Figure four locked in and Makabe has to tap! Loved this.

Scott Hensley is in the ring with Adam Priest….and he officially invites Priest to join the Scenic City Invitational in July this year. That tournament is already stacked high with talent! This was a lot of fun. Mystery shows are a blast but this was the right mix of awesome random matchups, returns, debuts and story movement into next June.
