Britt Baker & Tay Melo are getting their hair done and they talk about injuries. Tay has never broken a bone. Tay is worried that Ruby Soho is back and she’s heard Ruby think she broke her nose on purpose. Tay tells Britt they had a prior incident in NXT and feels there may still be heat. Britt says she’s broken her nose three times and that shit happens. But it’s pro wrestling so someone is always pissed about something. Tay says she’ll be a pro and we’ll see how it goes.
Ruby arrives at Dynamite and is greeted by Tony Schiavone. She gives her bio. Ruby says wrestling is the one place she didn’t feel like a misfit. (We see a clip of Britt Baker on the Swerve City Podcast say she doesn’t like Rosa). Speaking to the camera Rosa says she realizes AEW has to have a champion on TV and it sucks if she has to let it go. After doing some minor grappling her back erupts in pain and she can’t go.

Sammy Guevara talks about how he had a big match last week and is not scheduled for this show and that it’s disappointing. He asks the cameraman about how the camera works and how much it costs. He uses it and talks to Penelope Ford. He jokes that if he’s not wrestling he has another skill.
The women’s division gathers to tape their segment. Producers are Sonjay Dutt and Tony Schiavone. Jamie Hayter is holding the title belt and can’t believe how heavy it is. Baker says she doesn’t like Rosa but will do business with her because the fans will want to see them fight.

Baker and Schiavone talk about how good it is that Jamie is the champ. Tony says Jamie stressed about it and asks if Britt is going to be the one to beat her down the road. Baker says she doesn’t want the title again, it’s too stressful with all the politics that come with being champ. She laughs and says maybe in 5 years. Britt says she wasn’t prepared for the heat that comes with being the champ and having the locker room talk about her to management (sounds like there was a meeting where talent wanted the title off of her do to her broken wrist). She says things are better now and she’s made up with the girls but it was rough at the time. Tony says in wrestling you should always advocate to be the top star and you have to have a thick skin. She says “cheers to me not having the belt again”.
