Apparently being a heel now includes exploiting your nieces' public hardship to get attention, as he stated in a response to a fan that perhaps Mysterio should donate to his niece who is embroiled in a legal issue with her mother Vickie after accusing Vickie's current husband of allegedly sexually assaulting her on a cruise.
Either way, it was either a waste of everyone's time or Guerrero decided to back pedal. You can decide which for yourself.

Former WWE and WCW star Chavo Guerrero, who has been working as a stunt coordinator for projects like the forthcoming Von Erich biopic film and NBC's Young Rock of late, called on WWE's Rey Mysterio to donate some of the money Mysterio is making paying tribute to the late Eddy Guerrero during his WWE matches, recent Wrestlemania entrance, Dominik's mannerisms, etc. to charity or Guerrero's daughters, citing that would prove the WWE Hall of Famer isn't "prostituting" the Guerrero family name.
If @reymysterio is really mentioning the Guerrero name only in tribute ¬ to line his own pockets with cash, maybe he’ll donate some of that money to charity,or even better,how about to Eddie’s daughters.That will show myself &the fans that hes not prostituting the family name

Chavo had been critical of the Eddy Guerrero-inspired Wrestlemania 39 entrance, with Snoop Dogg driving Rey to the ring in a low rider, while making a virtual signing appearance that streamed live on Facebook (and can be seen below), commenting, "Look, we all love Eddie, but we’re not going out with his gimmick and our gimmick...it was Los Guerreros’ gimmick and come out with the Los Guerreros, ‘We Lie, We Cheat, We Steal’ and everybody’s like, oh yeah, keeping Eddie’s memory alive. I say no, dude, I’m tired of people...and this is not a bitter thing, this is the truth. We worked hard for that last name. The whole family worked really, really hard to get that name to where it was and we’re tired of people prostituting it in a sense and using it for their benefit. So Rey Mysterio, I’m sorry that no one knows who Rey Mysterio Sr. is, Rey Mysterio Jr. No one knows who he is. I’m sorry that you have to latch on to the Guerrero family and we’re just kind of tired of it. So, thank you for keeping Eddie’s name alive. Thank you for keeping the Guerrero name alive but we don’t need you, we’re good, you know what I’m saying?"
There is no word what sparked Guerrero's comments. Mysterio has not responded publicly.
