Paul "Triple H" Levesque appeared on tonight's edition of Monday Night Raw in Chicago to announce that "WWE can be all that it can be for generations going forward."
Levesque said he was there to talk about Roman Reigns coming up on 1,000 days as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. He said that he can't name too many stars who can hang with Reigns in the ring. He said Reigns negotiated himself into a position where he didn't have to defend the title that frequently. He said that while that is good for Roman, it is not good for WWE or the fans.
Levesque said that when he talked about the WWE Draft a few weeks back, it will be change the company at its core. When Roman gets drafted to whatever brand he goes to, he will stay there as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
The other brand will determine a new champion at the Night of Champions event on 5/27 in Saudi Arabi, they will crown a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Levesque promised the fans will get a champion they will respect and admire and someone who will defend it any place, any time, all over the world.
PWInsiderElite.com reported earlier today that the announcement was based around a new championship.
