NJPW STRONG REPORT; TWO MATCHES FROM THE MULTIVERSE SHOW IN LOS ANGELES

Before the match starts, Joe Hendry has the mic. He says the Multiverse is united. It does not matter which galaxy, solar system, or country you come from. Whether you are here for an extraterrestrial or Joe Hendry event, we speak the same language when we say We Believe. We believe in the team of Eddie Edwards, Tom Lawlor, Kratos, and Joe Hendry.

Match Number One: Fred Rosser, Alex Coughlin, Callihan, and PCO versus Eddie Edwards, Joe Hendry, Tom Lawlor, and JR Kratos

Callihan and Eddie start things off. They go face to face and Eddie pushes Callihan and Callihan pushes back. They grab each other by the throat and they exchange punches. Eddie with a side head lock and Callihan with an exploder. PCO tags in and Eddie gets away. Lawlor tags in. Rosser comes in and he connects with a clothesline and boot. Lawlor kicks back. They exchange kicks and forearms. Lawlor with forearms and a cravate. Lawlor with a knee. Rosser with a forearm and he gets Lawlor on his shoulders but Lawlor with a sleeper and Rosser goes to the floor and he gets back in the ring.

Lawlor with forearms and chops. Rosser is sent into the turnbuckles and Hendry tags in and kicks Rosser. Hendry with a wrist lock and clothesline. Hendry with a wrist lock and Rosser with knees. Rosser with clotheslines to the chest and back. Rosser with a clothesline. Rosser with a knee and he tags in Couglin. Coughlin with a delayed vertical suplex attempt but Hendry blocks it and then Alex blocks it. They go back and forth with near suplex attempts. Eventually they give up on suplexes. Hendry gets Alex on his shoulders and drops Alex face first to the mat.

Alex is sent into the turnbuckles and Kratos tags in and he misses a clothesline. Alex with chops and then they exchange slaps. Kratos with a forearm and a chop in the corner. Kratos with an Irish whip and a splash into the corner but Alex catches Kratos and hits an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. PCO tags in and he misses a splash on Kratos. Kratos with punches and forearms in the corner. Kratos goes to the turnbuckles and PCO with chops and head butts. PCO sets for a Frankesteiner and hits it. Eddie hits PCO from behind and Eddie punches PCO. Everyone else gets in the ring and eventually it gets down to Lawlor and Callihan. Lawlor with an enzuigiri. Callihan with a clothesline. Callihan misses a splash into the corner. Lawlor with a kick and a diving head butt to the lower midsection in the corner.

Lawlor with a kick to Callihan from the apron. Rosser with a back drop driver onto the apron. Alex with a pescado onto Lawlor and Hendry. PCO pushes Eddie over the top rope to the floor. PCO goes for a dive to the floor but he is stopped by Kratos with a POUNCE. Kratos with a plancha to the floor. PCO sits up and he goes to the turnbuckles for a moonsault onto everyone.

PCO goes up top and Eddie grabs the leg to stop him. Kratos with a jumping knee to the head. Kratos with a superplex. Kratos kicks PCO in the back. Kratos punches PCO in the corner and Hendry tags in and he kicks PCO. Hendry with an Irish whip and PCO with a clothesline out of the corner. Rosser and Eddie tag in and Rosser runs through a chop and he runs Eddie into the corner. Rosser with chops and clotheslines in the corner. Rosser with a kick to the hamstring. Rosser with hips in the corner. Rosser with a running hip into the corner followed by a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Rosser with elbows to the clavicle and then he goes for the crossface chicken wing. Lawlor with a knee to force Rosser to release the hold. Lawlor kicks Alex and then Alex sends Lawlor and Edide into each other and he hits a double belly-to-back suplex. Hendry gets Alex up but Alex escapes. Hendry gets Rosser up and then Alex jumps on and Hendry gives them a double fallaway slam. Hendry kicks Callihan and Callihan goes for the groinal claw. Callihan with a piledriver to Hendry. Lawlor with a V Trigger to Callihan. Rosser with a double knee gutbster to Lawlor. Eddie with a Blue Thunder Bomb to Rosser. Kratos tags in.

Kratos with a deadlift suplex and then he sets for a Ganso Bomb. PCO tags in. Kratos with a forearm and PCO fires back. They continue the exchange. PCO with a kick but Kratos misses a clothesline but he does not miss a second time. Kratos misses a splash into the corner. PCO with a clothesline into the corner and a reverse DDT. PCO goes up top for a moonsault and the three count.

Winners: Alex Coughlin, Callihan, PCO, and Fred Rosser

After the match, PCO is in the back and he says tonight, Multiverse eight man tag match. Eddie. You know, the winner was PCO. Because he’s not huma, he’s not human. He was dead. He was dead, but it’s alive. It’s not human, PCO. Number One.

Match Number Two: KENTA versus Minoru Suzuki for the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship

KENTA circles slowly around the ring while Suzuki is ready to start the match. They try to lock up but neither can get the advantage until KENTA pats Suzuki on the head and KENTA goes into the ropes to avoid having Suzuki hurt him. KENTA backs into the ropes again instead of locking up and Suzuki has had enough and he kicks KENTA in the leg and applies a triangle in the rope. Suzuki pulls KENTA to the floor and kicks him. Suzuki with knees to the midsection and then he connects with a knee against the guardrails. KENTA sends Suzuki into the ring post.

KENTA sends Suzuki into the ring post and he kicks Suzuki against the guardrails and follows with a European uppercut. Suzuki and KENTA exchange forearms and KENTA rakes the eyes. They return to the ring. KENTA kicks Suzuki and slaps him. KENTA slaps Suzuki some more but Suzuki slaps KENTA. KENTA with a rake of the eyes. KENTA with a neck breaker and he gets a near fall. KENTA with kicks to the back. KENTA slaps Suzuki.

KENTA tells Suzuki to hit him and they exchange slaps. KENTA rakes the eyes and backs Suzuki into the corner. KENTA with a boot to the head and a snap mare and elbow drops. KENTA gets a near fall. KENTA with a reverse chin lock. KENTA with knees and kicks to the back. ENTA with knees drops and a kick to the back of the head. KENTA with kicks to Suzuki and Suzuki does not approve. KENTA with more kicks and Suzuki blocks a kick and connects with an elbow to the leg. Suzuki with forearms in the corner. Suzuki chokes KENTA in the corner. Suzuki with a knee and Irish whip followed by a Yakuza kick and a snap mare. Suzuki with a kick and he gets a near fall. Suzuki with kicks to the back of the leg and he applies a heel hook. KENTA rolls to the ropes to force a break.

KENTA with a jaw breaker and a DDT. KENTA goes up top and connects with a clothesline for a enar fall. KENTA goes for a figure four leg lock and despite Suzuki’s attempts to block it, he locks in the hold. Suzuki gets to the ropes to force a break. KENTA with a waist lock and Suzuki with an elbow and forearm. KENTA with a forearm and they go back and forth. Suzuki with a forearm that sends KENTA to the mat. Suzuki with boots to the head and KENTA with a boot but Suzuki with a boot. They go back and forth. KENTA with a series of boots and Suzuki goes down. KENTA with a running boot into the corner and a hesitation drop kick in the corner. KENTA goes up top and hits a double stomp for a near fall. KENTA goes for Go 2 Sleep but Suzuki escapes and applies a sleeper. KENTA gets to his feet and connects with elbows. KENTA with an elbow but Suzuki with a sleeper. KENTA grabs the referee and that allows KENTA to hit Suzuki low and get a rollup with an assist from the ropes for the three count.

Winner: KENTA (retains championship)

After the match, Suzuki goes under the ring to get a chair and officials keep Suzuki from getting back into the ring to get some revenge on KENTA.

KENTA says this is his title. This crowd is so stupid. They don’t know who the true legend is. It is him. That is why he hates Los Angeles.

Eddie Edwards shows up to say hello to KENTA. Eddie says it is good to see him. Since you came back to Impact, it has been years since we wrestled. Eddie says he was just a young boy in Japan but things have change. I have become a World Champion and you are the Strong Openweight Champion. Why don’t we do it one more time. This time it is different because I am not a young boy. This time, how about we wrestle for that title on your shoulder?

KENTA accepts the challenge.
