n what is the final episode of FTR with Dax Harwood, Dax discusses anxiety, struggling with the preconceived notions he had about dealing with it, medication, how a heartbreaking miscarriage made him challenge his perception of God and the benefits of therapy. The AEW Tag Team Champion talks about how he feels while they try to do good with the podcast, things were used to create friction by other wrestling sites. Dax apologizes to anyone that might've been offended.
In regards to Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez taking his comments on possible dream match with his friends Cash Wheeler and CM Punk in Wembley versus The Elite and saying he was, "gaslighting" anyone, stating the journalists don't know the true story. They just report what they perceived to be the truth from their friends. Dax talks about the online reaction since Meltzer and Alvarez stated their opinions regarding FTR and CM Punk, revealing some really vile comments against his nine-year-old daughter, himself and others involved with the podcast.
Dax and Matt state there was no pressure from AEW/Tony Khan to end the podcast,. It's not because of the trolls, Meltzer and Alvarez, or anyone else. Their original intention was to create positivity in the wrestling space, but unfortunately they feel like the podcast has caused more harm than good in its media coverage, online discussion, etc. so they decided to end the show.
Earlier in the show, Dax stated why FTR signed a four-year contract with AEW, stating that he felt more confident that Tony understood the team better than Vince and Hunter would. In talking about his initial struggle with anxiety in 2021, he mentions that Megha Parekh was the one to give him some books on the issue and really opened his mind to the possibility of the diagnosis, as she struggles as well.
Matt and Dax state that they love doing the show, but they don't want to cause anybody in the locker room, the fans or anyone else anymore heat or negativity. They may come back at some point in the future.
