NJPW STRONG REPORT: MATCHES FROM WRESTLECON

Match Number One: Trey Miguel versus Frankie Kazarian versus Rich Swann versus Clark Connors versus Kevin Knight versus Rocky Romero for the Impact X Division Title

Try has some words for everyone in the match and that means everyone attacks him first. Clark sends Trey to the floor. Kazarian with a side head lock on Night. Clark joins in along with Rocky and Swann. Swann with a shoulder tackle to Rocky. Clark with a shoulder tackle to Swann. Kazarian with a hip toss to Clark. Knight with a hip toss and arm drag to Frankie. Everyone with arm drags and then everyone gets to their feet. Trey pulls Kazarian to the floor and then Trey drops Rocky’s arm on the top rope and drop kicks the arm. Trey with a Japanese arm drag to Clark and Kazarian. Trey with an arm drag to Swann. Rocky with an arm drag to Trey and Trey with an arm drag. Trey falls victim to a quadruple drop kick.

Kazarian sends Trey over the top rope to the floor. Rocky clotheslines Frankie over the top rope and he goes with Rocky. Kevin and Swann with a double back elbow. Swann with a splash and Knight with a twisting splash. Swann with a head scissors to Knight. Clark with a knee and Swann goes to the floor. Frankie with a shoulder to Clark and a slingshot DDT for a near fall. Frankie with a slam to Rocky and a springboard leg drop. Frankie with a slam to Swann and a springboard leg drop. Frankie with a slam to Trey and Knight with a drop kick to Frankie for a near fall.

Clark gets a near fall on Frankie and then Trey gets a near fall. Swann with a near fall on Frankie. Knight knocks Frankie to the floor. Knight runs into a boot from Trey. Knight with a jumping Frankensteiner and Trey with a double senton to Swann and Rocky. Knight and Clark are on the turnbuckles and Frankie stops them. We set for a Tower of Doom with everyone but Swann involved. Swann with a frog splash to Clark and everyone is down. Swann misses a splash on Rocky and Rocky with Infinity Clotheslines to everyone but Clark. Rocky with a double clothesline to Clark and Frankie. Then he hits a double clothesline on Trey and Swann. Clark with a spear to Rocky and he spears Trey through the ropes onto the apron. Kazarian with a slingshot cutter to Knight but Clark with a spear to Kazarian. Swann with a kick but Clark with a spear to Swann.

Clark misses a splash on Knight. Clark with a punch. Knight leaps to the turnbuckles for a superplex but Clkar pushes Knight to the mat. Clark spears Knight and Trey sends Clark to the floor and gets the three count on Knight.

Winner: Trey Miguel (retains championship)

Trey Miguel is outside and he says lights, camera, action. And still your X Division champion. Everyone wanted to know his strategy and now they are mad at him. He says he is your forever X Division champion.

Match Number : Hiroshi Tanahashi versus Mike Bailey

Bailey offers his hand and Tanahashi hesitates but he does shake Mikes hand. Tanahashi with a waist lock and Bailey with a standing switch and Tanahashi with a standing witch. Bailey with a wrist lock and Tanahashi with a reversal. Bailey with an arm drag into an arm bar. Bailey with a clean break but Tanahashi puts Bailey in the corner and punches Bailey. Bailey with an Irish whip but he runs into an elbow and Tanahashi with a cross body off the turnbuckles and some air guitar. Tanahashi with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Bailey with speedball kicks and an enzuigiri that sends Tanahashi to the floor. Bailey goes for a dive but he lands on his feet when Tanahashi moves. Bailey with a forearm and Tanahashi fires back. They continue the exchange on the floor.

Bailey with a running drop kick on the floor. Bailey sends Tanahashi back into the ring and Bailey goes up top. Bailey leaps over Tanahashi but Tanahashi with a drop kick to the knee. Tanahashi with kicks to the hamstring and an elbow drop to the leg. Tanahashi with more kicks to the hamstring and he plays guitar on Bailey’s leg. Tanahashi with a kick to the knee and he puts the leg in the ropes. Tanahashi with kicks to the leg. Bailey with forearms and Tanahashi with a slap. Tanahashi with an Irish whip and Bailey with a kick and a missile drop kick. Bailey with a back heel kick and a few round kicks to send Tanahashi to the mat. Bailey with a shooting star press for a near fall. Bailey misses a round kick but connects with a back heel kick. Tanahashi with a flying forearm. Tanahashi with punches in the corner followed by a slam and a somersault senton for a near fall. Tanahashi goes up top and Bailey stops Tanahashi. Tanahashi with a forearm. Bailey with a kick and he takes Tanahashi off the turnbuckles and follows with kicks. Tanahashi blocks a kick and hits a dragon screw in the ropes. Tanahashi with another dragon screw. Bailey leaps over Tanahashi on a baseball slide attempt and Bailey with an Asai moonsault. Both men struggle to get back into the ring but they both beat the count in just enough time. They exchange forearms from their knees. They get to their feet and they continue the exchange. Bailey with kicks to the arm but Tanahashi blocks a kick and goes for a dragon screw but Bailey counters with a rollup for a near fall. Bailey with a knee drop and a round kick to the temple for a near fall.

Bailey goes for a running kick but Tanahashi with sling blade and he goes to the turnbuckles. Bailey struggles to get to the turnbuckles to stop Tanahashi. Tanahashi with forearms to put Bailey in the ropes. Tanahashi with boots to the knee and chest. Bailey pulls himself up and he connects with a forearm and a Frankensteiner. Bailey with a round kick and a thrust kick. Bailey with a tornado kick into the corner and Bailey goes to the turnbuckles. Bailey misses a knee drop when Tanahashi moves. Bailey with a back slide for a near fall. Tanahashi blocks a suplex and Tanahashi with two swinging neck breakers. He hits a third one and hits sling blade. Tanahashi goes up top and hits High Fly Flow for the three count.

Winner: Hiroshi Tanahashi

After the match, Tanahashi helps Bailey to his feet and he raises Bailey’s hand.

Tanahashi says he said he would be back and he is interrupted by Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley. They apologize for interrupting.

Sabin points out that they are the Strong Openweight Champions and they want to face the best. Him and Okada are the best so they want to challenge them to a match.

Aussie Open show up and says if you are going to throw around challenges, you are holding on to our titles. If you want a shot at the titles Tanahashi, you have to wait in line because they are next.

Tanahashi says he challenged Sabin and Shelley first.

Shelley says it does not matter who challenged who first so what about a Three Way Dance?

Shelley says it does not matter if you are okay with it because they are the champs and it happens the way they want.

Tanahashi does not look too happy that the match is now a three way.
