We got a lot going on tonight! From the three quarterfinal round matches in the Wrestling Open Championship tournament to the return of PLATINUM MAX CASTER! Wrestlemania week might be over but Wrestling Open never ends. Every. Thursday. Forever.
Spotlight Match: Percy Ryan vs Rex Lawless
Everyone here would like to see Rex rearrange the perfect jawline of Percy. Percy runs for cover starts arguing with a fan and big boy Rex sneaks up behind him and chops him to hell. Percy with a rebound kick stuns Rex but he gets caught trying a dive to the floor…and tossed back into the ring! This is all Lawless until he whiffs a yakuza kick. Percy throws shots to the abs, kick dropkick…he thinks he’s gonna lift Rex. No. Just no. Percy opts to chop block and lands some head kicks. Rex rages up, hits the running boot and a sitout chokebomb for the win!
Winner: Rex Lawless
And we’re live on IWTV! Rich Palladino is your announcer. Paul Crockett and Denver Colorado are on the commentary mics tonight! It’s Thursday! Let’s do this!
Match 1: Steven Stetson vs Marcus Mathers
The crowd REALLLLLLY lays into Stetson tonight. We’re all about corn chants? Ok. We still mad about he did Alec Price dirty. Marcus doing a good job controlling the cowboy, dodging an early northern lariat attempt. Stetson catches Marcus out of the air, huge backbreaker. Steven hitting big shots. Marcus resorting to quick rollup attempts but Stetson boots him in half. Marcus fires back with a flurry of chops, Stetson blasts him With a stiff one and a slam. Seated senton! Mathers whipped hard to the buckles. Cowboy just throwing all his power offense. Marcus coming back. Stunner! German! Kick out! Stetson drops him, winds up the lariat. Marcus reverses it again and Stetson cracks some wicked chops. Back and forth lighting each other up! Marcus winning the exchange, tries a gonzo bomb…his back gives out! He tries a corner bomb…his back again. Stetson tries to come in and Marcus hits a sitout bomb! He lays into stetson for how much he cares about Worcester. Stetson dodges and hits a powerslam. North Jersey Lariat connects! Oh no! Marcus is DOA. The ranch continues their tournament run! This was nuts. Maybe Stetson’s best match at Open?

Match 2: Vicious Vickie vs Notorious Mimi
We got BRYCE REMSBURG as ref for tonight?!? Mimi starts with a test of love and owns the open moments but runs into a side effect. Vickie tries to wear her down. She twists the neck, big charge out of the corner, Mimi kicks out! Vickie walks into an X Factor! Kick out! Vickie catches a big boot…Mimi is face planted but Boots Vickie in the head when she gets pulled up for the win!
Winner: Notorious Mimi
Match 3: Joe Ocasio vs Bobby Buffet
Bobby is ready to EAT the competition. Ocasio wants to bring the fight but he’s bringing appetizers instead. Bobby caught with a shot to the back of the head and tries to stretch the big man. Buffet throws him off but walks into a flying knee. Joe with a real feat of strength, picking up Buffet and hitting a lung blower. Buffet with a sunset flip but Joe rebounds and hits a flying headbutt for the win. Good fight between two relative unknowns.
Winner: Joe Ocasio
Match 4: Sammy Diaz vs Fancy Ryan Clancy
Fancy wrapping him up early but Diaz is slapping at the head. Hard hands to the chest. Sammy steals THE FANCY POSE and get armdragged for that offense. Sammy is aggressive as hell with Clancy. Running backbreaker for two. Clancy tries a sunset flip but Sammy catches it into a deep cloverleaf. Fancy’s out! Huge fire up and dropkick! Diaz fights off the side russian…snap powerslam and moonsault for two! Fancy out and hits the side Russian for the win!
Winner: Fancy Ryan Clancy
Match 5: Anastasia Morningstar (w/ Brother Greatness) vs Zeda Steele
So this follows the “Anastasia Morningstar scares the hell out of a tiny human and beats the f*** out of her” playbook. Zeda runs for cover, Ana chases her down, electric chair facebuster on the apron. Zeda battling back and Ana is taking a beating but not for long and she hits the fade to black for the win.
Winner: Anastasia Morningstar
Dezmond Cole is out her to confront the church. He is still mad at the church….and he’s coming for ALL of them! Boofa is going on a crusade!
Match 6: Mortar vs RJ Rude
RJ is a starting quick…Mortar goes for the hair and ignores the ref’s warning. Mortar just got DQ’d! He unloads a pile of post match beatings on Rude. Rex Lawless runs in to make the save! RJ looks a little hesitant but Rex pulls him up and carries him out on his shoulders!
Winner: RJ Rude (by DQ)
Milk Chocolate is out here to…talk on the mic and maybe save face after their IWTV title loss…but they have a surprise return coming through the curtain!
Match 7: Milk Chocolate (Randy Summers & Brandon Watts) vs The Hispanic Mechanics (Jos A & Jos B)
I cannot overstate the level of HYPE this room got when the Mechanics music hit. There is a match happening here but we are SO in the head of Milk Chocolate. This is bananas. The Mechanics riding the wave and really frustrating the hell out of Watts & Summers. A gets caught up but escapes to B. whip to the corner, famouser on Summers! Kick out! Watts breaks it up…Milk Chocolate eats a double cross body! Tag to A…Summers blasted with the A2B and the Mechanics get the win!!!
Winners: Hispanic Mechanics
Match 8: Pedro Dones vs Ichiban
Pedro is focused and ready to advance in the tournment. Ichiban uses that aggression to owns the opening sequences. He’s going for the flatliner but Pedro blasts through him. Fighting to the outside, Pedro traps Ichiban in the tag rope. His hand is toast and Dones is coming right at it. He stomps, twists and even bites at it! Dones choking him down. He WANTS this. Flying headbutt off the top rope, Ichiban kicks out! Dones coming in strong! Ichiban hits the flatliner for the win!
Winner: Ichiban
Steven Stetson hits the ring and ambushes Ichiban, his next opponent in the tourney.
Max Caster is out here. He says he’s here to do charity work…donating his time to us so we can see what a real TV Star looks like. Also…Bryce is on his side tonight? He’s decided he needs a tuneup match before his encounter with 50 Cal. He issued an open challenge? Who is his first opponent going to be?
Match 9: Max Caster vs Eric Chacha
Chacha runs in…straight in a lariat. Caster gets the win in eight seconds.
Winner: Max Caster
Match 10: Max Caster vs 50 Cal
Max doesn’t wanna hear Cal’s music. He does want to watch him pose. He blindsides 50 before the bell. He tries that big lariat again but Cal kicks out! Big slam. Max is posing. Cal firing back with forearms and dropkicks! Punches on the corner! Bryce clearly interfering to prevent the tenth punch. Max slides down and puts his feet on the ropes. Bryce clearly sees it but counts the three anyways. Never in my life did I think we’d be chanting “F*** You Bryce!”
Winner: Max Caster
Caster is hungry for another opponent. DAH NAH NAH….SHOOK! Bryce Donovan is making his return to face his Shook Crew stablemate who is clearly talking out his a** tonight. That’s OUR Bryce!
Bryce talks about the disappointment of sitting at home watching Open have their biggest matches in history. But he worked for the last four months to get back home! He’s offended Max is trying to make him feel like he came back for nothing. Max wants nothing to do with this. Bryce isn’t cleared to wrestle…maybe he can’t watch Max wrestle at Rampage tomorrow night? He tries to ambush Bryce but Donovan is ready for it…and announces he’s medically cleared to fight tonight!
Match 11: Max Caster vs Bryce Donovan
Donovan with a quick rollup almost takes it! Big boot! Big slam. Elbow drop! Bryce doesn’t QUITE get into place quick enough. Bryce is pushing Donovan back and Max ambushes with a throat chop and posts him. Bryce tries to make a fast count on the outside but Donovan quickly scrambles back in. Max eating blows but he whips Donovan to the buckles. Donovan with a backslide but Bryce has his back turned. WHOOPS. Donovan keeps fighting but these odds are not in his favor. Bryce takes a bump and Donovan has a clear pin. Max tries to get the win but we got another ref that actually counts fairly. Kick out! Max to the top…donovan intercepts! Chokeslam toss off the top! He’s got the win again but Bryce Remsburg wipes out Ref Scott! Donovan is in his face and goes for a chokeslam. Max with a blatant low blow. Pop up crotch kick! Donovan kicks out! He puts his feel on the ropes, Donovan kicks out. Max is getting mad at Bryce for not counting fast enough. He goes for the chain! He accidentally hits Bryce! Donovan hits the black hole slam! Ref Scott makes the count to three!
Winner: Max Caster
Main Event: Brad Hollister vs Bobby Orlando
Bradley Baconator can’t do cartwheels and it’s important that you, dear reader, know this. That said, he does shoulder block our mom right over after a brief walk on the outside. Mom right back and sends Brad to the floor again and DOES A CARTWHEEL! Brad is beside himself! Bobby with a flurry of counter! Backstabber for two! Bacon yanks him off the top and Orlando crashes back first into the buckles. Bacon sent out and Bobby dives after. Orlando slammed to the apron and ref Tyler is making the count. Bobby makes it back in time! Big backbreaker to Mom! Whipped to the buckles, big hip attack! Bobby trying to fight back but gets Germaned hard. Did Bacon just call back the Iron Shiek?!? He’s gonna make him humble?!? Orlando fights off the camel clutch! Bobby trying to lift him but his back gives out! Bobby hits an AA!!! Firing up! Bacon tries a powerbomb but Bobby slips it barely and hits a spear! Kick out! He tries the sick trick cutter…Hollister uppercuts him out of the air! Slam to a senton. Bobby kicks out! Bacon calls for the jackhammer…Bobby suplexes him into the buckles! Time for the dab elbow drop! Bacon gets the feet up, Bobby shorts the Jump…Bacon with a powerbomb and a sharpshooter! Orlando gets the ropes! Who is gonna end this crazy main event clash? We just hit the 15 minute mark…Bacon hits the ropes…Bobby gets crotches on the top. Backbreaker to the top buckle. Hollister hits the inside out jackhammer for the win! Sick match.
Winner: Brad Hollister
Fancy Ryan Clancy is at commentary and Hollister calls him down to face him in the ring. Clancy obliges…Bacon says Clancy isn’t as good as anyone thinks he is. Clancy is JV. Bacon is a varsity STUD. Ryan knows who is he. FANCY RYAN CLANCY plans to kick Bacon’s a**. He decks Brad and Hollister carefully scoots away to safety. Fancy stands tall to end the night!
