A&E announced the following today:
On Sunday April 30 WWE on A&E expands with all-new series “Stone Cold Takes on America” and season 2 of “WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures.” The screening link above includes the premiere episode of each series.
At 10pm ET/PT “Stone Cold Takes on America” sets out on the road with renowned WWE Superstar, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin® as he takes viewers on an epic adventure and redefines what life after years in the ring looks like and experiences everything he missed out on while focused on his career. The premiere episode finds Steve taking on everything from bowling to off-roading on a sand dune.
Kicking off the night at 9pm ET/PT, “WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures” returns with Legends Booker T, Mick Foley, and Lita as they hunt for iconic WWE memorabilia and share the stories behind some of the most memorable items in WWE history. The premiere episode continues to celebrate beloved “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and his legacy as Steve joins the team to track down items including a custom title and the infamous cement truck.
The sent us screeners. Here are some thoughts I have on the shows. I like the changes they made to Most Wanted Treasures especially the end where they show the actual merchandise on display. You have to think under Endeavor we may get to see some kind of physical edification of the Hall of Fame as a revenue generator. Stone Cold Takes on America is a bonafide hit in my eyes because it's just fun. It takes the fun aspect of Straight Up Steve Austin and mixes it with a little bit of Eric Young's Off The Hook Animal Planet show to great success. I like the idea of showing them behind the scenes of the behind the scenes.
