As we reported last week, MLW is looking at doing a live PPV this summer and are having discussions with potential partners. MLW sources believed they would get a deal done and have a live show slotted in the next 3-4 months currently.
Some more on MLW's strong weekend. NYC sold out about 30 minutes after the show started. Philadelphia sold out the day of the show with pre-show walk up.
Alexander Hammerstone was 100% hurt in NYC (we heard he possibly pulled his groin) but isn't expected to miss any time. He worked a short match in Philly.
Microman was far and away the top merchandise seller in NYC. There is a belief he brought families with children to NYC. There were a lot of families sitting in the balcony of The Melrose Ballroom.
Going forward, the promotion is looking at doing additional two show weekend loops for TV tapings. Beyond NYC and Philly, loops are being looked at for Atlanta and Charlotte and Dallas and Houston.
Expect Rickey Shane Page to get a massive push this summer.
