PRESTIGE WRESTLING NERVOUS BREAKDOWN REPORT FROM LOS ANGELES

Coming from the Globe Theater in LA, it’s Prestige Wrestling’s Nervous Breakdown.  

The commentary team is Jordan Castle and Brian Zane

C420 (Sonico, Cody Chhun and Guillermo Rosas) vs LA DOJO (Clark Connors, Jet Knight and Yuya Uemura)

Knight and Chhun start out locking up and go to waistlock and wrist locks. Knight gets a snap mare and Chhun gets a shoulder tackle as they jockey for position. Sonico and Yaya are tagged in and Yuya is able to get a pair of elbow drops for a two count. Sonicotakes over and pulls Yuya to hsi corner for Rosas, and Conners is tagged in.

Conners gets a series of forearms until they are trading forearms. They run the ropes with Conners getting the shoulder tackle, and then when they run the ropes again, Conners gets a pounce, which sets off the tag team bell and all six men are in the ring.

After they settle, Conners attacks C420 on the apron so that they can’t tag in while LA DOJO keeps Rosas in the ring with quick tags. Rosas is able to get a sunset flip for two and then finally makes the tag to Chhun who cleans house.

He gets a DDT on Knight for two. All of C420 get in the ring and Knight fights them off with high flying kicks. Yuya and Rosas tag in and Conners takes out Rosas. Conners and Yuya attack Sonico and Sonico hits Yuya with green mist. Sonico then hits the AMF suplex for the pin and the win.

Winners: C420

Vinnie Massaro vs Calvin Tankman

They lock up collar and elbow, and after the last match being high spots and Lucha fast, this is just gonna be a hoss fight. They move to chops and attempts at shoulder tackles. Tankman drops Massaro. They move to brawling on the floor. They return to the ring and Tankman beats down Massaro in the corner. Massaro is able to get a drop kick on Tankman.  

Massaro drops an elbow for two. He gets a running forearm in the corner and then chops on Tankman. Massaro gets a snap mare and then a sliding clothesline for two. Tankman gets to his feet and it’s back to chops until Tankman gets a backbreaker for two. Massaro is up and gets a back elbow, and when Tankman charges, Massaro gets a suplex into the turnbuckle for two. 

Massaro tries for an exploder, but can’t lift Tankman, and they trade forearms. Massaro is able to drop Tankman with a clothesline and then gets a half nelson into a slam for two. Tankman gets a headbutt and tries to slam Massaro, but Massaro lands on his feet and gets a shot in.  Tankman whips Massaro into the ropes, gets a spinning back fist and a back elbow for the pin and the win.

Winner: Calvin Tankman

Titus Alexander (West Coast Pro Wrestling Champion) vs Michael Oku

They lock up collar and elbow and Oku moves to a side headlock. They move to arm bars and then go into the ropes and start in with chops. They run the ropes and Oku gets his finisher, the half crab, and Alexander escapes quickly. Oke hits a springboard dropkick to the floor. Oku goes to the floor as well and Alexander slams Oku on the apron, which we are told is the hardest part of the ring.

They brawl on the floor and Oku is rolled into the ring for a one count. Alexander gets a back breaker and a two count. He follows with a quick series of one counts. Oku gets a quick rollup for two. Alexander gets a drop kick and argues with the ref. He works over Oku with kicks and strikes. Oku is able to get a foot up and then a missile drop kick from the top.

The crowd is behind Oku as they chant for him and jeer Alexander. Oki gets forearms and a DDT for two.  Alexander kicks Oku off into the ropes and Oku comes back with a penalty kick. Oku clotheslines Alexander to the outside and then gets the crowd to clap for him, and when he goes to leap onto Alexander, he grabs Oku’s girlfriend as a child. She ducks out of the way as Oku hits a kick and then leaps over the top into Alexander. Alexander gets into the ring and takes a Frog Splash from Oku.

Oku gets a drop kick into the corner and puts Alexander on the top. Oku hits a delayed Frankensteiner, but Alexander is able to hold over for a roll up for two. They throw hands on their knees. They get to their feet, still fighting. Oku gets a dragon screw and then tries to lock on the half crab, but Alexander escapes. Oku hits a dragon screw in the ropes. 

Oku drops a knee from the top into Alexander's knee. He tries for the half crab again and Alexander escapes. Alexander hits a rolling suplex for two. He follows with a brain buster for two.  Alexander grabs a half crab on Oku. Oku is able to get to the ropes for the break. Oku gets a small package for two. Oku gets a shining wizard into a lion sault for two. 

Oku pulls down his knee pad and Alexander collapses on the mat. Oku hits a series of slaps and Alexander gets a surprise rollup for two. Alexander gets a GTS and Oku is able to recover and grabs the half crab. Alexander pulls Oku’s girlfriend instead of the rope and pulls her into the ring. As the  ref is distracted, Alexander gets a low blow and a driver for two as Oku’s girlfriend pulls the ref out of the ring.

The ref gets back in the ring and Oku gets a poisonrana. He goes to the top and hits a frog splash for two. Oku grabs the half crab again, and Alexander is able to get the back slide as Oku leans back for the pin and the win.

Winner and still West Coast Pro Wrestling Champion: Titus Alexander

Allen Angels attacks the ring announcers and the mic no longer works. He grabs another mic and says the crowd needs to shut up and listen. When he left AEW the fans loved him and now they have forgotten him. He says other people wrestle for the fans and he wrestles for himself. Next year he will be the Prestige champion and the most talked about guy in the industry. A stage hand gets into the ring and tells him he needs to go. He says he will leave and then hits a spinning heel kick on the stage hand.

WARHORSE and Adam Brooks vs Midnight Heat (Eddie Pearl and Ricky Gibson)

Gibson and Warhorse start and Warhorse stalls by playing to the crowd. Gibson tries a shoulder tackle and Warhorse doesn’t move. Warhorse hits one as well, and Gibson doesn’t move. They run the ropes and Warhorse gets a successful shoulder tackle and then hits a suplex into a two count. Brooks is tagged in and he comes off the top onto Gibson’s arm. He then gets a back elbow and a drop kick and covers Gibson for two.

Pearl tags in and Brooks hangs him on the second rope for a series of knees. Pearl drops to the floor and Brooks kicks him from the apron. He rolls Pearl into the ring for a cover and a two count. Pearl escapes a backdrop, gives Warhorse a back elbow and then takes a kick and suplex from Brooks into the turnbuckle. Gibson runs in and takes a clothesline. 

Warhorse and Brooks get stereo dives to the floor. Pearl takes a back body drop from them both and Brooks covers for two. Brooks is dumped to the outside. Pearl rolls him back in. Gibson is tagged in and slams Brooks for two. They work over Brooks with quick tags. Brookes is able to get the kick out and tag Warhorse who cleans house.

Warhorse hits Pearl with a brain buster on the knee, and Gibson misses a elbow drop on Warhorse and lands on his partner. Brooks gets a slingshot DDT on Gibson. Brooks gets a meteora on Pearl and Warhorse follows with a flying elbow for two and Gibson knocks Brookes into the pin. Brooks tags in and Warhorse hits a codebreaker, holding Pearl on his knees, but Gibson grabs Brooks. Brooks kicks him off and leaps, but Pearl dodges and Brooks lands on Warhorse. 

Midnight Heat gets a two man backstabber on Brooks for the pin and the win.

Winners: Midnight Heat

Taya Valkyrie vs Miyu Yamashita

They shake hands to start.

They lock and trade waistlocks and arm locks with a take down. They separate clean. Taya runs into an elbow in the corner and then responds with a kick. Taya gets a basement German suplex. Taya gets a two count. She gets a clothesline in the corner and then hits Miya with a hip attack and a two count.

Miyu is tossed to the floor. Any brawling on the floor is so dark, it’s hard to see what is going on, other than brawling. Miyu gets a running knee from the apron into Taya. She rolls Taya into the ring for a two count. Miyu gets a series of kicks to Taya’s back and then tries for a fireman’s carry, but Taya fights free. 

Miyu gets a kick in the corner and they go to the top. Taya drops down and power bombs Miya, but is too exhausted to cover. They get to their feet and trade blows. Taya comes off the ropes into a kick and a German suplex from Miya. Miya covers for two. Taya is able to dodge a kick and gets a mule kick and then the Road to Valhalla for the pin and the win.

Winner: Taya Valkyrie

Timothy Thatcher vs Robert Martyr

They shake hands before starting.

Thatcher is able to grab an arm bar and then wrenches Martyr’s arms back. Martyr is able to grab a leg and bring Thatcher down, but Thatcher escapes. They lock up and Thatcher is able to trip Martyr and then mounts for strikes and then a cross arm bar.  Martyr is able to take Thatcher down and Thatcher escapes. 

Martyr gets a side headlock and Thatcher is unable to shoot him off. He is finally able to do it on the third attempt, and Martyr is able to get a cross body for two. Thatcher gets an arm bar and then stands on Martyr’s other hand. Thatcher gets a knee strike and then Martyr works up with strikes and then hits forearms. Thatcher hits an uppercut and then lays in kicks. 

Martyr works up and gets forearm strikes and Thatcher fights back with a suplex and a cover for two. Thatcher gets a surfboard, but Martyr flips out and covers for two. Thatcher stretches Martyr in the ropes and lays in chest strikes. Martyr picks the leg and escapes a suplex and charges into a Thacher uppercut for a two count.

Thatcher gets a couple of more covers for two right away. Thatcher works over Martyr’s arm and gets a two count. Martyr fires up after each  Thatcher uppercut. Thatcher puts on a front facelock but martyr dumps Thatcher over the top the outside. Martyr hits a cannonball dive to the outside. Thatcher is rolled into the ring. Martyr goes to the top and Thatcher gets an uppercut to cut him off. Martyr head butts Thatcher down and follows up with a diving headbutt, but misses and Thatcher locks on the STF. Martyr make it to the ropes.

Thatcher goes back to uppercuts. Martyr gets a forearm off the ropes to drop Thatcher. Martyr reverses a German suplex for one of his own and then a clothesline in the corner. He hits a suplex into a two count. He throws hands on Thatcher into an insigiri, but Thatcher picks the ankle. Martyr gets a double kick into a pile driver. Martyr hits a rising knee strike and covers for two.

Martyr gets on Thatcher’s back and tries to butterfly Thatcher’s arms, but Thatcher escapes and locks on a sleeper. Thatcher switches it to a rear naked choke and Martyr goes out.

Winner: Timothy Thatcher

Shigehiro Irie vs Kevin Blackwood

They lock up and then break with no one getting an advantage. They lock up again and this time they break with Blackwood getting a chop. Blackwood lays in more chops. Irie is whipped into the ropes, grabs the rope to stop and then grabs Blackwood for a slam. Irie propels himself off the ropes for a splash for two. 

Irie gets a rear chinlock and pulls Blackwood up for a knee and a slam. He then leaps onto Blackwood and sits on Blackwood for two. Blackwood gets a drop kick off the top and then lays in strikes and gets a double foot stomp. He then lays in penalty kick into Irie’s back which Irei withstands. He then grabs a chinlock. Blackwood tries for a suplex, but Irie blocks it. Irie instead suplexes Blackwood. They fight on the apron and Irie dives into Blackwood’s back, knocking him to the floor. 

Blackwood is rolled into the ring and Irie hits a splash off the top and a two count. Blackwood trees more chops and then gets a flurry of chops in the corner. Irie reverses and lays in strikes in the corner. Blackwood reverses for more chops. Irie beats Blackwood into the corner and hits a cannonball for two. 

Blackwood lays in kicks and Irie gets a belly to back suplex. They get to their feet and Blackwood gets a series of kicks, a DDT, and then a stomp from the top. Blackwood gets an air raid crash for two. Blackwood misses a double foot stomp for the top and they go to the top on the opposite side of the ring. Irie hits a springboard Samoan drop from the top and covers for two. 

They trade shots on their knees, then move to their feet, and Blackwood gets a stunner followed by a tombstone for only for a one count. Irie hits a cannonball onto Blackwood on the second rope. Blackwood hits two double foot stomps from the top for the pin and the win.

Winner: Kevin Blackwood

We then get an announcement that the new So Cal home of Prestige Wrestling is the Globe Theater.

Aja Kong vs Masha Slamovich 

They lock up and Kong forces Masha into the ropes. They lock up again and this time Masha forces Kong into the ropes. Masha hits a series of strikes and Kong whips her into the ropes. Masha tries a series of shoulder tackles and Kong doesn’t flinch. Kong then shoulder blocks Masha down. Kong whips Masha into the ropes and chops Masha down. 

They go to the floor and Kong uses a chair on Masha. Kong whips her into the crowd’s chairs. They brawl into the crowd, with Kong in charge. Masha is rolled into the ring and Kong kicks her back. Masha gets slammed and Kong hits an elbow for two. Kong locks on a bully choke into a crossface. Masha crawls to the ropes for a break. Kong whips Masha to the corner and runs into a kick. Masha gets a series of kicks and finally gets a clothesline for two.

Masha tries for a power bomb and gives up, running into the ropes when King slams her and covers for two. Kong gets a suplex and covers for two. Kong goes to the second rope and Masha is able to get a German suplex and a shining wizard for two. Masha tries to get Kong up and instead goes to the top. Masha gets a drop kick and Kong pops right back up and hits a brain buster for two. Kong hits a spinning back fist for the pin and the win.

Winner: Aja Kong

Main Event: Kushida, Alex Shelley and Ultimo Dragon def. Team Filthy (Jorel Nelson, Royce Isaacs and Filthy Tom Lawlor)

I am a huge fan of Ultimo Dragon and Kushida, so I have been looking forward to this one all night. And this will be nuts, so it’s bullet point time.

  • Royce wants Dragon, so Kushida tags him in

  • They lock up collar and elbow, Royce shoves Dragon back

  • Next is a knuckle lock and Royce forced Dragon down. Dragon fights his way back up and Royce forces him back down

  • Dragon reverses it and is whipped into the ropes to take a shoulder tackle from Royce

  • Dragon runs the ropes and finally takes Royce down and then scrapes the eyes with his feet. 

  • Lawler and Kushida tag in. They mat wrestle for control ending with Lawler getting a leg bar and Kushida gets to the ropes.

  • They mat wrestle for control again, Shelley tags in, and Lawler tags in Nelson

  • Nelson takes Shelley down, gets an alligator roll, and then hits a drop kick.

  • They run the ropes, Kushida comes in and they double team while running the ropes. Royce comes in and gets the same treatment

  • Kushida, and Shelly work over Nelson with quick tags and arm bars, and Dragopnm tags in and joins in

  • Shelley stays in, knocks Team Filthy off the apron and then he and Kushida hit a double suplex for two.

  • Shelly rams Nelson into the turnbuckle, where the then climbs up the rain down blows.

  • Shelly whips Nelson into the ropes but sets too soon, so Nelson gets a kick

  • Nelson tries to come off the ropes, but Shelly trips him, then snapping his head off the top.

  • Lawler gives a penalty kick to Shelly on the floor, and Kushida enters the ring, and Nelson drops him with a knee to the midsection

  • Royce Marches around the ring with Shelly in a stalling vertical, while Nelson does the same to Kushida in the ring

  • Shelly is dropped on the apron and Kushida is dropped in the ring where Lawler’s team celebrates

  • Royce is tagged in and hits a back breaker on Shelly for two.

  • Team Filthy work over Shelly with quick tags

  • Royce misses a leg drop from the second rope and it’s Time For Dragon To Clean House

  • Dragon tags in Kushida and he works over Nelson with kicks and strikes. 

  • Nelson is whipped into the ropes and tires for a sunset flip, but Kushida blocks it, gyrates, flips him the bird and then goes for the hoverlock

  • Lawler tries to break it up and Kushida hits an insigiri.  Kushida’s chest is busted open somehow. 

  • Royce comes in and Kushida handsprings into him, and Royce turns it into a German suplex

  • Royce is tagged in and Nelson pulls up Kushida for a slam, followed by Nelson hitting a slingshot onto Royce’s shoulders, and then Lwler hits a shining wizard with Royce hitting a death valley driver.

  • Kushida is put into a STF, and Shelly breaks it up.

  • Dragon is tagged in and hits a Dragon Screw on Royce

  • He then hits a figure four starting with a twist, but Nelson breaks it up.

  • The tag team bell goes off, and everyone gets a finisher in success

  • Dragon gets the pin with a crucifix cradle on Royce

Winners: Kushida, Alex Shelley and Ultimo Dragon

Alex Angels bring in a bunch of people from Wrestling Revolver and they lay out everyone in the ring. He says if they want a war, they have got one. The locker room empties out and drives off Wrestling Revolver members.
