WWE CEO Nick Khan appeared on CNBC's Closing Time last night.
Khan noted this weekend would be the "kick off" for media rights discussions with partners and praised FOX and NBC as partners.
Khan said they've had a "robust" response to potentially selling the company but would not comment on who or how many were involved as bidders.
Khan declined to comment on the alleged $9 billion price but joked they would hope it would be $18 billion.
Khan said Vince McMahon made it clear to him that he does not need to be part of any deal going forward. When asked if he wanted to be, Khan said he wasn't sure.
Nick Khan said Vince was not involved in the creative process. He has not "interfered" in creative. Paul Levesque remains the head of creative and has done a phenomenal job, pointing out the ratings success
On Stephanie McMahon leaving, she had been on a leave of absence when Vince and Nick asked her to return. She was phenomenal across the board. When Vince returned, she returned to what she was doing during the leave. On whether she could return, Khan said they would always love to have her but that's a question for her.
