JOSH ALEXANDER INJURED, WILL VACATE IMPACT TITLE

By Mike Johnson on 2023-03-24 09:19:00

Impact Wrestling Champion Josh Alexander has suffered a torn triceps and will be undergoing surgery, it was just announced on SiriusXM's Busted Open.

Alexander will be undergoing surgery today and will be vacating the Impact Wrestling title, ending the longest Impact Wrestling title reign in company history.

Alexander will be missing tonight's Sacrifice PPV as well as the Wrestlecon weekend events, including Multiverse United.

KUSHIDA, who was scheduled to face Alexander this Thursday in Los Angeles, CA will not wrestle Steve Maclin at the 4/16 Rebellion PPV in Toronto to crown a new champion.

Alexander last wrestled over the weekend as part of a Trios match at the Lucha Libre AAA World Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico as part of Team Canada in a loss to Team Europe, it would appear that's where the injury occurred.
