There's been some buzz around WWE Hall of Famer and former WCW World Champion Bill Goldberg today ahead of his appearance for Wrestlecon in Los Angeles at the end of the month.
As PWInsiderElite.com reported on 3/6, Goldberg is no longer with WWE.
Our report at the time noted, "Last week, WWE Hall of Fame Bill Goldberg commented on having a retirement match to Sports Illustrated, even remarking that he felt he was owed one. Multiple sources have told PWInsider.com that Goldberg is not currently contractually obligated to WWE, so he's free and clear to perform elsewhere if he chooses to do so. I don't see AEW doing Goldberg vs. MJF, but you never know! By putting it out there, even if this wasn't his intent, Goldberg let everyone - WWE and otherwise - know he's available for conversations."
