After Wade Barrett noted that she is now the permanent Smackdown color commentator, Pat McAfee responded to those assuming that meant the end of his WWE run:

A lot of wrestling chatter about me right now..

I think about wrestling everyday..that dream isn’t done.

My business is currently rather active and exigent…+ baby on the way…timing is everything

I still have MASSIVE plans for my journey to the WWE HOF someday.

As PWInsider.com had previously reported, McAfee is extremely busy with other opportunities but WWE absolutely loves working with him and the two sides will continue on together. I would be surprised if we didn't get through Wrestlemania 39 week without McAfee apppearing in some fashion, much as he appeared as surprise to even Michael Cole and Corey Graves at the 2023 Royal Runble.
