Major League Wrestling today announced Davey Boy Smith Jr. vs. Calvin Tankman at MLW War Chamber’23 Thursday, April 6 at New York City's Melrose Ballroom.

The card is an MLW TV taping, airing nationwide in the US and in over 60 countries around the world.

What happens when 355 lbs. of “Heavyweight Hustle” collides with the 6’6” 265 lbs. “British Bulldog”? It’s a hoss fight at War Chamber ‘23!

For the first time-ever, Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Calvin Tankman will lock horns and grapple in the Big Apple.

The explosive low center of gravity of Tankman presents a unique challenge for the 2019 Opera Cup winner Smith. Tankman, an MMA practitioner with uncanny agility, is battle tested.

Fresh off a year-long reign as a World Tag Team Champion, Tankman will battle another man who enjoyed a dominant reign as champion in the tag team division in DBS.

The captain of the “British Bulldog” fight team, Smith has his eyes on getting in the mix for a world title shot. Tankman, pivoting to a return to a singles career, has a big statement to make to matchmakers.
