Kayla is in the back with Paul Heyman. She brings up Jey not saying anything earlier and she asks Paul if he has anything to say.
Paul says he wasn’t paying attention and he says this Cody Rhodes is too much. We get this criticism for mentioning the names of his family but Cody gets involved in Bloodline business. Maybe that is Cody’s counter attack. For almost 1,000 days, Roman has been champion. Every time a new challenger comes along, Roman comes to him to ask how to they deal with them. Do they do it by getting into their head before the match or do we do it with the truth. When together, the Bloodline can’t be stopped.
Cody comes around and he was the one guy Paul did not want across the ring from Roman Reigns. Do we do it gangster or truth? Roman told him, the most gangster thing to do to Cody is to smash him with the truth. The truth is in his past that he couldn’t control or escape. It will put emotional baggage on Cody to the point where when he walks into the ring, he will already be a defeated opponent.
The only story left for Cody to tell is when he takes his shoulders off the mat after being defeated by Roman Reigns and he has to pick the time and place when he truthfully acknowledges Roman Reigns.
