Tokyo Sports is reporting that WWE NXT star Sarray has departed the company as of 3/9 and will officially announce her return to Japan on 3/13.
Sarray, previously wrestling as Sareee, joined WWE in 2020 after a nine-year career in Japan. Her debut was delayed until the following year due the COVID-19 pandemic . She had a strong start to her WWE NXT run but seemed to get lost in the shuffle during the time period Paul Levesque's black and gold NXT vision was dismantled.
A planned reboot of her on-screen character based around the inspiration of jewelry bestowed upon her by her grandmother never really clicked. We are told the original plan for that run changed quite a bit after the NXT 2.0 launch.
Sarray last competed in the ring for WWE in August of last year.
Tokyo Sports' report indicates she will return to the ring in Japan in May.
