AEW DARK RECAP FOR 3/7/23
Skye Blue vs. Mylo
The match begins with Blue scoring a takedown on Mylo before getting her in a front headlock, Mylo gets free and Blue drops her with an arm drag. Blue drops Mylo again with an arm drag before being dropped on the top rope, Mylo uses a running kick to knock Blue to the arena floor. Mylo leaves the ring and she nails Blue with some more strikes before getting her back into the ring, Mylo then hits Blue with a slingshot suplex for a near fall. Mylo traps Blue in the corner while landing more strikes, Mylo gets Blue on the top rope and she follows her up there. Blue knocks Mylo off the ropes before landing a top rope cross body block, Blue then hits Mylo with a knee strike followed by an enziguri for a near fall. Mylo fights back and she drops Blue with a cutter for a near fall, Mylo goes to the top rope and she misses a splash attempt. Blue then hits Mylo with a super kick followed by a full nelson bomb for a three count.
Winner: Skye Blue
Brian Cage w/Prince Nana vs. Bad Dude Tito
The match begins with Tito taking Cage down with a side headlock, Cage gets free and he does the same to Tito. Cage gets up and he gets dropped by a Tito shoulder tackle, Tito misses a charge in the corner and Cage nails him with an enziguri followed by a release German suplex. Cage keeps Tito down while choking him while he is down by the bottom rope, Tito fights back and Cage cracks him with some more strikes. Tito catches Cage in a roll up before applying an ankle lock to him, Cage gets free and Tito nails him with a sliding lariat. Cage knocks Tito to the ring apron before landing a head kick, Tito fights back and he nails Cage with a blockbuster for a near fall. Cage recovers and he nails Tito with a pump handle slam for a near fall, Cage looks for a power bomb and Tito counters with an enziguri followed by a blue thuder bomb for a near fall. Cage recovers and he hits Tito with a discus lariat followed by a power bomb, Cage applies a modified cloverleaf to Tito and Tito taps out.
Winner: Brian Cage w/Prince Nana
Lance Archer w/Jake Roberts vs. Guilherme Rosas & Cody Chhun
The match begins with Archer laying out both opponents on the arena floor, Archer sends both opponents into the ring before missing a charge in the corner. Chhun and Rosas attack a cornered Archer with strikes, Archer recovers to hit both opponents with a middle rope cross body block. Archer follows up by landing running back elbow strikes on both foes, Archer then sends a charging Rosas into a cornered Chhun. Archer follows up by dropping Chhun with a choke slam onto Rosas, Archer sends Chhun out of the ring before landing a lariat on Rosas for a three count.
Winner: Lance Archer w/Jake Roberts
Konosuke Takeshita vs. Jack Cartwheel
The match begins with Takeshita going after the arm of Cartwheel, Takeshita gets Cartwheel in a headlock and Cartwheel gets free before eating a shoulder tackle. Takeshita follows up by hitting Cartwheel with a leaping clothesline, Cartwheel sends Takeshita to the ring apron before knocking him to the arena floor. Cartwheel follows up by landing a suicide dive on Takeshita, Cartwheel gets Takeshita back in the ring before landing a leg sweep followed by a stalling elbow drop for a near fall. Takeshita fights back and he lands a release German suplex on Cartwheel, Cartwheel avoids a lariat before eating an elbow strike followed by a lariat that connects. Cartwheel avoids a knee strike before landing a death valley driver on Takeshita for a near fall, Takeshita catches a leaping Cartwheel to land a blue thunder bomb and a knee strike for a three count.
Winner: Konosuke Takeshita
Big Bill w/Stokeley Hathaway vs. Julius Coleman
The match begins with Bill backing Coleman into the corner before landing some strikes, Bill follows up by landing an avalanche on Coleman. Bill traps a downed Coleman before landing more strikes on him, Coleman fights back and he hits Bill with a spinning drop kick. Coleman mounts Bill in the corner and Bill knocks him down before throwing him out of the ring, Bill gets Coleman back in the ring before landing a choke slam for a three count.
Winner: Big Bill w/Stokeley Hathaway
Willow Nightingale vs. Zoe Dubois
The match begins with Nightingale getting Dubois in a headlock, Dubois gets free and she hits Nightingale with a forearm strike. Nightingale drops Dubois before landing a thrust kick to her face, Nightingale follows up by hitting Dubois with a suplex. Dubois fights back and she hits Nightingale with a few strikes, Nightingale recovers and she hits Dubois with a lariat followed by an avalanche. Nightingale gets Dubois out of the corner before landing a high boot followed by a spine buster for a near fall, Nightingale then hits Dubois with a doctor bomb for a three count.
Winner: Willow Nightingale
After the match, Athena comes out from the crowd and she tries hitting Willow Nightingale with the title belt, but Nightingale avoids it before landing a pounce on her.
AR Fox vs. Ryan Nemeth
The match begins with Nemeth backing Fox into the corner before landing a few strikes, Fox recovers and he nails a cornered Nemeth with a corner clothesline followed by a stalling drop kick. Nemeth leaves the ring and Fox takes him out with a moonsault from the ring post, Fox stands up Nemeth before landing some chops. Fox traps Nemeth in the corner of the barricade before landing even more strikes followed by a thrust kick, Fox gets Nemeth back in the ring and Nemeth drops him neck first on the top rope. Nemeth then drops Fox with a hip toss onto the hardest part of the ring, Nemeth leaves the ring and he stomps on a downed Fox. Nemeth gets Fox back in the ring to get a near fall on a pin attempt, Nemeth traps a downed Fox in the corner before stomping away on him. Nemeth then drops Fox with a drop kick for a near fall, Fox fights back and Nemeth nails him with more strikes. Fox recovers and he hits Nemeth with a fisherman buster suplex, Fox follows up with a leaping back elbow strike followed by a cutter on Nemeth for a near fall.
Fox goes to the top rope and Nemeth avoids a 450 splash attempt, Nemeth looks for a neck breaker before landing a DDT on Fox for a near fall. Nemeth goes to the middle rope and Fox cracks him with a strike before landing an arm drag followed by another cutter, Fox then hits Nemeth with a 450 splash for a three count.
