The 11th Annual Annapolis Film Festival announced this week that they will be screening the critically acclaimed documentary Out In The Ring, which looks at the lives of LGBTQIA+ professional wrestlers past and present, and the history of LGBTQIA+ representation in professional wrestling and more. The fim will screen Saturday 3/25 at 9:15 PM at the Boys & Girls Club Theater in Annapolis, MD.
Promotional material for the film notes, "Using a combination of interviews with LGBTQ+ wrestling talents (past and present), allies & historians, archival footage and rare photos, Out in the Ring uncovers the history of something taboo in the pro wrestling industry and the rise of visibility for performers and fans around the world. It’s a historical look at how these trailblazers have set about to survive, thrive and change perceptions in and out of the business."

Annapolis, MD (March 3, 2023) – The 11th Annual Annapolis Film Festival announced today the 36 features (narrative and documentary) and 53 shorts that comprise the full slate of films for this year’s festival taking place March 23-26, 2023 in Annapolis, MD. Screenings will be held throughout the city at venues including Maryland Hall, Girls and Boys Club, Asbury United Methodist Church, Annapolis Elementary School, and more.
Searchlight Pictures’ critically acclaimed CHEVALIER will open this year’s festival on Thursday, March 23rd at 7:15 PM in Maryland Hall’s Main Theatre. The evening will begin with a red-carpet featuring celebrity and filmmaker guests at 6:30 PM and culminate with an after-party beginning at 9:30 PM under the tent on the front lawn of the fest’s signature venue Maryland Hall for Opening Night Ticket Holders and Festival Pass Holders (limited quantity available).
Tickets and passes are now available for purchase at www.annapolisfilmfestival.org with Opening Night Tickets costing $50 and include access to the after party, Festival Passes are available for $195, Premium Passes are available for $350, and Individual Tickets are available for $15.
