Good competitive match. Tanahashi took the brunt of the offense by Bishomon. Okada tagged in and he took some punishment too. Okada fought back and applied the Money Clip to Goto. Goto does not submit but he avoids the Rainmaker. Back and forth match. Tanahashi goes for a High FlyFlow but YOSHI-HASHI gets the knees up. Bishomon hits a Violent Flash on Tanahashi, and follow with Shoto. Okada breaks up the count. Goto with a reverse GTR on Okada. Lots of near falls. Crowd is popping huge. Goto and YOSHI-HASHI hit a Naraku (double swinging neck breaker) on Tanahashi. YOSHI-HASHI pins Tanahashi. Bishomon retain the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.
Great back and forth match. The only problem is Okada cannot hold the World Title and Tag Title. So the challengers were not going to win. Okada could not take the pin so it would have been Tanahashi to take the fall. The crowd was pumped so it was a success. If the tag titles were not on the line then perhaps there could some suspension of disbelief. However, this win really solidified Bishomon as a the top team in New Japan.
