In an IC Title Match. Ricochet beats Gunther by DQ when Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci interfere. Braun comes down to make the save, says they'll find a partner for a six-man tag in the main event to take on Imperium. Gunther retains the title on the DQ.
Rhea Ripley defeats Raquel Rodriguez. The match started out slow but built up well.
Santos Escobar defeats LA Knight after offering an open challenge to anyone willing to take him on. He then complains to the ref that he kicked out at two. Out comes Drew Mcintyre. Knight thinks he's getting support from Drew, but Drew asks the crowd whether he should give the ref a Claymore or give LA Knight a Claymore. Crowd is in favor of option 2 and they ring the bell for Knight's second match of the night.
Drew McIntyre defeats LA Knight. Big pops from the crowd for Drew.
Kevin Owens defeats Solo Sikoa by DQ after Solo hit KO with a chair outside the ring. KO gets his revenge after the match by putting Solo through a table that Solo had set up to put KO through.
Intermission.
Ridge Hollard defeated Cruz del Toro in a decent match, but the crowd wasn't into.
Charlotte Flair defeated Shayna Bayszler to retain the Smackdown Women's Championship is a solid matchup.
The team of Ricochet, Braun Strowman, and Sami Zayn defeated Imperium (Gunther, Kaiser, and Giovanni) when Sami pinned Kaiser.
At the end of the show, Sami, spoke to the crowd and accidentally got himself some heat. He said, "I won't talk long, but you all know that I'm a Montreal guy, but whether we're in Montreal, or Quebec City, or Toronto, or Ottawa, or even right here in KINGSTON..." The crowd started booing immediately and loudly. It looked like Braun quietly reminded Sami they were in KITCHENER, to which he replied, "Sorry! I know we were in Kitchener all along! Remember I was just a bad guy not too long ago, and old habits die hard!" Ultimately, the crowd went home happy.
Biggest Pops: Sami Zayn (until the Kingston incident), Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens
Biggest Heat: LA Knight, Imperium, and Solo Sikoa.
My take: An overall good show, but many of the locally advertised matches got changed. Matches advertised locally included Bray Wyatt vs LA Knight, Charlotte vs Sonia DeVille, Solo vs Sami Zayn, and Gunther vs Drew for the IC Title. We did not see Liv Morgan, Sonia Deville, Rey Rey, Karrion Kross, the Usos, or Bray Wyatt, all advertised.
